🖤🩸“I have always wondered what my destiny was. This vampiric witcher believes it’s to bear his pup, and to drink from me.” – Frida King🩸🖤
...
I recall when I left home.
Piper bidding me goodbye with Aunt Ada, Grandma staring at me like I was slipping away into thin air.
And, how they surrounded me whispering, “Be safe,”
Looking back, I think I did a poor job at being safe because the King currently had me trapped.
In his hands and if I tried fighting him off, I could lose my head. Apart from that, he was strong.
I wonder if it was his witcher side. I guess I had to study him more to be sure I wasn’t imagining things. Right now, I have to figure out how to make him let me go.
Because his mouth currently trailed my neck, his vampire was still heightened. And, his pale face was still evident, his under eyes red.
“I want to make a bargain,” I seethed making sure I didn’t show my weakness in front of him.
Captains liked bargains. And if he was one, then something lingered within. Something I couldn’t see.
I noticed my words made him pause, and the next thing that followed was a slight grunt.
For a moment, everything was silent. Then came a cackle from him. I furrowed my brows only for him to withdraw his fangs.
“A bargain?” his voice was low this time. “I like bargains,” Seems I was right. “But what’s in it for me, Frida?”
This time, he withdrew from me. I took a glimpse at his bulky frame which had no clothes on it.
More than you imagine. I thought, dismissing the thoughts my head made up from his bare chest being visible to my gaze.
…
Sitting in front of him, I puffed out an air of relief.
Some servants came in serving tea the minute he was clothed. From their gestures, they seemed to think something happened between us.
It was safer for them to assume. I thought, as I stared at King Draco with my back straight up.
They served tea which was on the table, and left while I still stared at him. If I didn’t know better I’d say this was a staring competition.
I noticed King Draco’s vampire side was still heightened. He seemed to have control over it but twitched, rolling his head from time to time.
“I’m all ears, go on,”
He uttered, making something stir in me. I noticed my wolf seemed elated. She seemed to like this part of him, his darker side.
I fisted my hands trying to keep her at bay.
I also rummaged through my head, thinking of what to do. Something about his present demeanor made her excited. If I didn’t know better, I’d think he was our fated mate.
Hold on. Was that it? My eyes searched instantly thinking of what the possibilities were. At the first meeting, she made me want to converse with him.
I wanted to know him more, was it because we were mates? A hybrid and a Lycan, what were the chances?
I should investigate that later. And her. Because of her reactions to him, she wasn’t helping things at all.
If he was truly linked to my parent’s disappearance, we’d have to reject him. But for now, I had to take advantage of this moment.
“I want you to help me, and in return, I’ll help you, Captain Draco,” I said in confidence. Maybe this would make him remember the first time we met on the ship.
King Draco’s POV
I stared at Frida wondering how she got the notion, of my passion for sailing. I liked being addressed as Captain more than King and sometimes it scared me.
But what scared me bigger was that she somehow read me. I have been observant in the past couple days.
I saw her strength on the ship but knew it wasn’t just that. There was something else. Otherwise why would she disguise as man in somewhere filled with men?
Vendra never thought this way. Since our marriage had been arranged by the high ranks, she was always in the box, the matrix.
But it seemed Frida was out of it. She didn’t care about the difference in ranks unlike Vendra who took the form without questioning anything.
Maybe her innocence caught my eyes, but I always knew it was surface level. Like when she ended up as my Queen and I still felt empty.
Or when I stared at that grave and felt emptier. Vendra didn’t want power, like the others.
But Frida, she was specific on what she wanted, and I was interested in knowing why. And thus, I asked,
“In what way?”
“You need a Queen, someone you could trust, someone who you are, so I ask that you choose me,” she constructed. She was quite meticulous.
And it made me realize. This wasn’t Vendra, but someone who knew what she wanted, going for it anyway. She seemed to have knowledge of politics. And it made me suspect her more.
“How do you know who I am?” I asked c*****g a brow at her.
“I guessed,” she said before an expression of certainty covered her expression. “And it seems I was right judging from how you look at me,”
She said suddenly standing up, I watched as her hands directed to her garments peeling them away.
“W-What are you doing?!” my vampire had long left and it was just me.
“I want to breed your heir, Draco, make me your Queen,”
Confusion wrote my features as she said those words. I couldn’t hide my fascination at her words but I kept him inside, so my struggle hints didn’t show on the surface.
“Only that?” I arched a brow at her saying.
For a minute I could see her features resistant but it cleared before I got a chance to study it more.
“You need an heir, I have a womb, what more could you possibly want, Draco?” she said dropping the first layer of her gown on the floor.
I growled staring at her figure in the garments clenching my hands. My witcher heightened on sighting her.
What did I want?
Centuries ago, someone asked me that question. My father, and it started when I started my expenditures sailing, through each town and the stealing their valuables.
I’ve always desired more for my Kingdom.
Especially after finding out no one would survive if we didn’t take it with full fists.
It was one of the reasons Shrekers thrived and others fell.
“I want it all, Frida,”
