🖤🩸"I have always wondered what my destiny was. This vampiric witcher believes it’s to bear his pup, and to drink from me.” – Frida King 🖤🩸 …. I woke up discovering that every single deck member had disappeared. In fact, there was no one in sight when I pushed the door coming aboard. Everything looked in place, except that the sea had landed on shore. Did they actually leave me? “Where is everyone?” I said those words out loud. Pinching myself to check if it was a dream, but when I scowled, I was so sure it wasn’t. “Hello?” my voice echoed in reply. I sighed with the possible fact that I might have been duped and deceived. Reaching to scavenge for my backpack, I found nothing. In fact, the money I hid secretly had disappeared. Dammit! Maybe it was what I deserved for being naïve. What did I expect? An easy part to the Kingdom of Shrekers? Was such a fool to think the strange captain from last night, had a thing for me. “Yah!” I jumped from the ship, with my Lycan strength coming down and connecting the sandy white floor in agility. Tying my red hair in a bun, I began walking forwards with no idea of where I was going. What I knew was I had to find someone. I needed to know if I was in the Kingdom of Shrekers or not... Maybe I fell behind. It wasn’t impossible. I walked in my sailor trousers for hours, taking a note of the landscape. There were plants creeping on houses which looked abandoned. In a way, it was like the world had ended. Any frail minded person would have lost his mind. But… my princess training kept me going. “Pssst! Psst!” I suddenly heard this whistle ripple after a couple hours. My eye brow wriggled knowing someone called out to me. Glaring at where it came from in alertness, my hands fisted ready to fight. “It’s okay! We are travelers too; you can trust us.” Trust? From the stories my mother told me, you could trust no one… “Who are you?” I seethed, walking towards the people I sighted. They were two. A seemingly couple with faces covered in dirt and clothed in rags. The male seemed to be searching for food, while the woman who definitely made the whistle, talked to me. “Funny you ask that, judging that we’re strangers to each other,” she said. The woman stood tall, gazing at me while I exhaled at the truthfulness of her words. “I’m lost.” I simply went straight to the point, saying. “...it seems you both are a little familiar with some land around here. A little direction towards my route would help.” Her husband stood up, handing his wife some plants before turning to me. “Where are you headed, sailor?” “The Kingdom of Shrekers.” I lifted a chin in confidence at the fact that I wasn’t addressed as a damsel in distress princess. The confidence was short-lived though, as they both answered me with a rumble of laughter at me. Their green teeth which seemed unkept highlighted as they chuckled at my words. I scrunched my nose at this. “Is something funny?” “Maybe...” The man answered. “You’re heading towards a path of death, willingly which is rare. Most travelers divert from that Kingdom and we’d advise you to do the same.” I balled my fists, “You don’t understand... I have to keep moving. I need answers.” Answers to a certain mystery… My words were filled with truth. “Fine. See and learn for yourself, sailor. That’s if you would still be alive though.” The man took his wife’s hands walking away from me.“Let’s go honey.” As they paced, I yelled, “Wait!” They stopped in their tracks as I ran a bit towards them. “Could you enlighten me a bit? Actually, I boarded a ship and I got duped by fellow sailors who ran away with my money and clothing. Is there anything strange about this place?” “This town.” “Sorry?” The man continued. “This place is in ruins because no village or city dares shares a land with the Shrekers. We apologize that you were duped, but maybe it was an eye opener that you should be more watchful and careful.” My heart felt an overwhelmed feeling at what he meant. “Please enlighten me...” I trailed, not remembering the last time I had to beg for something. Kind of had it all as a Princess… The woman pointed towards the sky. “To go to Shrekers, you follow that mountain. It stops right at the entrance of the Great City. But beware, the system is messed up. There is all sort of vile creatures there, which makes entering the safe place almost impossible for you.” “Safe place?” “The castle.” she stated. “The only way to go in, is to participating in the choosing.” “What choosing?” “Breeding a baby, for one of the royal aristocrats.” “Huh?!” Seems things got complicated each second. Was that supposed to be still possible in these times? Breeding... the thought of it made me want to puke. “We said enough.” The husband uttered. “We have to rush now, before dusk for the fear of the unknown.” I moved to ask them more questions but they hurriedly walked away, not making the slightest moves to turn back. The fear of the unknown? That moment, my stomach rumbled at the fact that I hadn’t eaten anything. I kicked my sanity, even though I perspired, walking right on the valley, towards the mountain. Gosh, I was entirely tired... The mountain seemed near from distance but it spread out so far. When thunderbolts hit the sky, I wondered if my journey was fruitless. The rain that commenced falling, made me hide under a plant shade which I rested my back on. No matter how hard I tried, my hair became wet. Didn’t even know when I fell asleep. I woke up only to discover it was nearly dusk. Drinking from a water plant, I remembered why I was even making this journey in the first place. “Nynaeve, you’d better be right in this.” I was back in the valleys again, with sighs of relief that I was getting towards the end of the mountain. I could hear drums from distance, which meant Shrekers was near. “Run!” some distant voice suddenly yelled at me. Could tell it was from behind, “Run!!!” Confused, I looked over my shoulders only to sight a male and female pacing towards me. My eyes widened at the black panther that seemed to be chasing them.
