🖤🩸“I have always wondered what my destiny was. This vampiric witcher believes it’s to bear his pup, and to drink from me.” – Frida King🩸🖤
…
I commenced running with all that I had, forgetting the fact that I had to hide my identity.
My Lycan willingly came out and although she didn’t shift, we were still fast. Heaving erratically, breathing in fast paces, I looked back from time to time...
“NooooOO!!”
The panther caught up with one of them. I realized it was the male which the panther devoured rapidly. The girl surprisingly didn’t go back for her partner, instead she increased her speed with all she had. “Help me, please…!”
My Lycan heard those words, making my eyes flare up in yellow. “Yahh!!” What happened next was a blur, but I think I scared the panther off...
I opened my eyes naked, on a deserted part of land with water droplets sprinkling on me from a plant.
“Psst. I’m so not trusting or helping anyone again.”
It seemed like there were people around from the food I smelled. Luckily, there were large plants which I put over myself. I saw a little cottage from the main roads, immediately walking behind and snatching some dresses from a line. “Honey, did you pack the clothes?!”
A woman yelled, only for me to move into the city hurriedly. I had to find a way to enter the castle without being bred on.
There were lots of city people moving around in colorful dresses. Unlike my Kingdom, it seemed like this one was even more developed, their silks, ceramics everything.
“Ladies and Gentlemen, gather now!” An announcer called out. “Take your forms to be chosen as the breeder of a royal aristocrat here!”
There were about a thousand women lined up there. “Aha?” I let out, on seeing a man dressed up as a woman in the line too.
“The mannequins for the royal design shop arrive!” someone announced.
About ten carriages decorated passed when an idea formed in my head. “Out of the road, girl!”
Someone said, spitting on me. I sighed, thanking my stars when it stopped for a check. There were so many people around, making it easier to pretend to be about to pick something. I crawled under the carriage, entering from underneath and posing as one of the dolls.
“Halt!”
I heard minutes after. “Time for the second checking!”
My eyes widened at that voice. The door suddenly opened making me freeze in shock, without blinking an eye.
“This one looks so real, she’s dirty though, didn’t you wash her?”
The guard’s hands crept to my breast, pressing it. My Lycan snarled, only for me to hold back in. The door was closed, thus arriving inside the castle’s grounds seconds later. I slowly opened it, peeking before running through the back where there were no guards.
“Dammit.”
I was met with the coos of black crows. Just ahead, was a man in a cloak dropping a yellow rose on a grave with a sad expression. “Son...”
He said running his hands through his coal-black hair, with some loose strands just at his face sides demonically and I noticed he looked familiar.
Was he…
“Captain Draco?” I let out, without thinking only for him to look at me with a sharp glance. His eyes were alert and bloodshot as I came out of my hiding place stupidly, stomping my feet in anger as I approached him.
“Are you here as my breeder?”
I approached him saying, “You duped me and took all my belongings, I should have you arrested and you’re asking me that?”
“Strange.” he trailed flickering his eyes over me. My both hands formed an ‘x’ around my chest. Somehow, he made me feel naked. “You’re not here as that. How did you enter?”
“Look here, I can give you all the coins as I’m not in dire need of it. All I’m asking for is that little puppet that was inside.” I seethed.
“My crew distributed the items among themselves. I don’t need stuff I have plenty of.” Plenty of? What did he meanby that…?
“My King!” About ten guards ran towards us, pointing guns at me when my eyes widened. A breeze made my red curls cover my face, as I let out, “K-King?”
That means he led the people that ambushed my parents…
“Step back from him or we will shoot! Only breeders are allowed that close, in a submissive stance which you aren’t.”
I raised my hands to their gaze, slowly doing as they asked to avoid trouble when they gathered around me with the intent to drag me out. “We are sorry about this disturbance, milord. It won’t repeat itself again!”
“You’d better not.”
As he seethed, they commenced pulling me out. My Lycan was slowly becoming pissed, but I controlled her knowing it was for the greater good. Everything…
“I’ll take the form!” I closed my eyes yelling, in humiliation.
I opened my eyes slowly only to see amusement in Captain Draco’s face as he halted on his spots. The head guard said, “Let her walk, then.”
As they freed me, I straightened my peasant dress, wiping some dirt off my face with my chin up. “Follow us.”
I did as they said, moving with them only to be dropped at that same spot I saw the women registering in. I inwardly cried on sighting even the oldest of people on the line.
It was then I realized something. In this city, women who breed a baby for the aristocrats are the only ones recognized.
Damnation. Things just got complicated.
----------------------------------------
The next step was immediate.
We were split into 100, in each section, with a woman who had a fox skin on her head come out of the high part which seemed like a stage.
“I am Maria, the Fox woman and I’m in charge of this section of the game.”
A sense of déjà vu replayed in my head. Mum once told me this story... something similar. What was happening?
She highlighted from the steps, in an amber linen, snapping her hand only for various servants to rush in dropping flaming lanterns by our sides. I arched a brow instantly, wondering what this game was all about.
“This is the magical flame of the Shrekers. Everyone knows the history as it’s said never to go off.” she added. “However, only the actual blood of a human can turn it off. This game tests how much each of you are willing to sacrifice to be respected as a breeder.”
A beeping box was settled with her hands around it.
“There are no rules in this game. Meaning you’re free to do whatever you want to quench your flame.”
The Fox woman smiled mischievously, turning the beeping box on and saying, “Begin!”
My hands gripped the flame box instantly looking around only to see some people trying to twist the hold to turn it off. Some opened the head and blew to no avail when I suddenly heard a yell, “What’s the meaning of this?!!”
Everyone stopped at their spot looking only to see a young girl of about 15 walking amongst us. Her hair was black and short with a fringe covering her face.
“Little girl, go back home!”
A female bully called out. “Here is not for you. You should still be suckling your mum’s breasts.”
“Who do you think you’re talking to like that?” she snarled running towards the bully with imminent speed and slashing her with elongated fingers only for the girl to scream.
“A monster!!”
I watched as the black-haired girl picked the female bully’s hands, opening her lantern and quenching it.
“She’s no monster... she transformed back instantly.” someone whispered but my Lycan could hear. “That’s a fairy.”
Fairy? Weren’t they pretty and kind... with wings not claws?
I wasn’t given time to think because a great chaos ensued that moment. Everyone copied the little girl trying to injure the person nearest to them!
