It physically pained me to have to turn away from her. To not seek answers to the shocking things she had said, but I had to do it.
The matter I had to attend to was of immense importance, any delays could end up causing irreparable damage.
The moment I got out of earshot of her, I called Lucas and he answered on the first ring.
Me: Are you sure of this information?
