CHAPTER 9 Sal drove toward the edge of town, where there were less streetlights. They would be able to see the stars better in a short while. It was almost evening and the moon was rising. As they drove down one street, Selma sat forward in surprise. “Oh, look, there is a fair over there,” she said pointing at the lights and the sound of music. The others looked the way she was pointing. Stacy smiled wistfully. “I haven’t been to a street fair in years,” she said. “Would you like to stop?” asked Micky. Stacy looked at Micky with a huge grin. “Could we?” she asked. Micky looked at Sal. “We don’t have to check in with Alex. We could stop for a while to check it out,” he said.
