CHAPTER 12
Sal and Micky were at Avorn Security Building early the next morning. Sal had called his mom and told her not to send Jerry and Joyce to school until he had a chance to talk to Alex. He didn’t want the school calling the foster home about them.
Lynn sent them into Alex’s office when they arrived on the third floor. Trey was already in Alex’s office talking with him. Alex smiled at them and motioned for them to take a seat.
“You two had a busy night,” observed Alex. “I’m glad you were able to move the children safely.”
“We need to talk to you about the children,” said Sal.
Alex nodded. Trey told me you took two of them to your mom,” said Alex.
Sal nodded. “They had run away from their foster home to keep the sister from being raped. She is only nine years old,” added Sal in
