Chapter 1

Grace

“Grace let’s go! You don’t want to be late, do you? You know we can’t miss this flight!” Matty yells at me as she tries to rush me out of the small store at one of the many airports we have been to. 

  I shake my head and laugh a little at her crazy pushing me once again. “I know Matty, I just need to find the best postcard to send to Inara.” I responded back to her.

“Oh, I forgot you did that but you send it to Sarah anyway. How is she going to know it’s from you and not from Sarah?” She asks but doesn’t stop her chatting. “She’s the Queen, right? I can’t believe we have two kings and a queen now and you know them all so closely! I wonder if we will have two queens here soon.” She gushes while I blush and focus more on the postcards in front of me. “Ugh, girl, here pick this one. It’s perfect. Shows the best view and you can add your pictures with it that you took of this place. Now let’s go.” She says as she shoves a card that has a picture of The Fairy Pools in Scotland.

“Perfect. Let's buy this and get out of here.” I turned to look at her with a smile before I turned to go pay for it.

“Flight B6, Southwest will be boarding in ten minutes.” A lady announced over the speaker.

“Hurry your butt up Grace! Move it or we will miss the darn flight!” Matty yelled at me once again, getting over annoyed. I chuckled at her and handed over the cash to the sales lady before turning around and running to the boarding area.

  Once we board and the plane takes off I take the card out and put it in my jacket to hide it from people and get up to use the bathroom. Once I entered the bathroom and locked it, I pulled out the card and started to chant a spell on it and then closed my eyes and thought of my message to Inara. I thought of all I could about this amazing place and my feelings. 

  Before I ran out of room I had to add one more thing. “Inara I am sorry I left the way I did. I hope you all are okay. I hope Luke is living his life happily. I want you to know that I’m coming back to the states. My magic can’t recharge for some reason anywhere I visit. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not in my homeland or not but I need to find out if it’s that or not. Please don’t tell anyone I’m coming back. Oh, and Sarah is also coming back to help me out. She sent me a magic letter saying she has something to talk to me about. I hope maybe you can make a trip to visit me. I miss you, my best friend, and my Queen. Love, Your Bestie.”

  I look at everything and then start another chant to send the card to Sarah to send to Inara. The first stop I made was to see Sarah who left with my mom but ended up staying in Spain a month in. I stayed there for a few days to destress a little and figure out what to do next and where to go. 

  I worked out a plan to send her these postcards where I use magic to hide my words and then I would send it to her by magic and she would write over my magic words to make it look like a normal postcard to anyone other than Inara. 

  As soon as the card was sent I turned on the sink and washed my hands. For some reason, my magic has only charged a very small percent. I’m not sure if it’s because of where I have been but after almost a full year of traveling and a month in Scotland I gave up in a way. Matty said we should try and go back to the states and travel there a bit to see if that helps before we go back to where my magic was born, so, here go, back to the place I left to escape.

  Luke

  I woke up one day and went to look for Grace to see if we could sit down with my baby sister and find out if she would be okay with us being together or not. I mean, I don’t care what Inara thinks in this matter because I will be with Grace no matter what. I just want her to give us her blessing because she means so much to Grace and me. 

  However, when I went to Grace’s room no one answered. I waited for a few seconds before I broke the door down thinking something was wrong but she was not there and her scent was barely noticeable. I checked her closet and everything was gone. She hasn’t been here for a while. I called Inara waking her and Trent up to ask them if she came there and didn’t tell me but she told me no and that maybe she just needed to work things out in her head about something. 

  I thought about everything that has happened over the last few weeks. The battle was not fun to watch nor be in and she was in it fighting so hard and looking crazy hot. Maybe Inara had a point. I know after we all came back and Grace was acting differently, her magic felt off when I was around her. Everything in my body was telling me to be near her as much as I could but she didn’t want anything to do with me.

  But something was bugging me. My brain was exploding with the voices of my other halves yelling at me and telling me to find her, so I did. I left a note for Inara to find, packed my bags, and left everything behind to find my girl and bring her back.

  I have been looking for almost a full year looking all around the world. I have spent tons of money and I have all the supernaturals looking for her but for some reason, I know she changed how she looks and maybe even her name. I know if I wanted to leave everyone and everything behind and hide that’s what I would do.

  I’m on my way back to the states now to get back to my baby sister. I heard that she has something huge to talk to me about but when I left I didn’t check in with her at all to see how she has been doing. I got updates from the Alphas and she stopped calling me after I didn’t answer her for months. I know she’s okay because of our royal link but I have blocked off everything else from her. I know she’s going to kill me but what could I do? Just sit on my ass and let the person that means so much to me just up and leave to maybe never come back and to mate with someone else? Hell no!
