Amelia stood in front of the full-length mirror, her heart pounding with excitement. Today was the day she had been dreaming of since she was a little girl. Today, she was going to marry the love of her life, Dylan. Her ivory lace wedding gown hugged her curves in all the right places, making her feel like a princess. The delicate veil cascaded down her back, completing the picture-perfect image of a blushing bride. She couldn't help but smile at her reflection, her hazel eyes sparkling with anticipation. Her best friend compliments her beauty “I am happy for your girlfriend, you are getting married to the only guy you had a crush on” “ Thank you, I never knew today would be possible. I guess he has his eyes on me too all this while” Amelia blushed. “Let’s not keep the groom waiting” she said helping her to her feet “you are dazzling girlfriend, it’s a pity Dylan is stealing you all to himself” “And I have got my eyes only on him,” she reminded her. As she made her way down the aisle, the soft strains of the wedding march filled the air. The guests turned to look at her, their eyes filled with admiration and love. But all Amelia could see was Dylan, waiting for her at the end of the aisle, his eyes locked on hers. The moment she reached him, they exchanged a knowing smile, their hands intertwining. The priest began the ceremony, their words of love and commitment washing over Amelia like a warm embrace. She couldn't believe that this was finally happening. She was finally Dylan's wife. But just as the priest was about to pronounce them husband and wife, a commotion erupted from the back of the church. Gasps and whispers filled the air, and Amelia's heart sank as she turned to see what was happening. A woman, her face flushed with anger and tears streaming down her cheeks, stormed towards the altar. She wore a tight-fitting dress that accentuated her curves, and her long, flowing hair was disheveled. It was clear that she had been crying. “What are you doing here Clara” Dylan asked with a shock and worried expression “Don’t tell me you know her” Amelia looks between the two of them. "Dylan, how could you do this to me?" the woman cried out ignoring Amelia, her voice filled with pain. "I'm pregnant with your child, and I need you!" The room fell into stunned silence as Dylan's face turned pale. Amelia felt her world shatter around her. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. This couldn't be true. It had to be some kind of sick joke. But as she looked into Dylan's eyes, she saw no trace of denial or disbelief. Instead, she saw guilt and shame. And in that moment, Amelia knew that everything she believed about their love was a lie. "Dylan, is this true?" Amelia's voice trembled as she confronted him, her eyes welling up with tears. "Tell me this is a lie." Dylan's gaze shifted between Amelia and the woman, his expression pained. "Amelia, I never meant to hurt you," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Our marriage was just a business arrangement. I never loved you." The words hit Amelia like a physical blow. She stumbled back, her hand clutching her chest as if trying to hold her broken heart together. The pain was unbearable, and she felt as if the ground beneath her was crumbling away. “Dylan, please don’t do this, not now” she pleaded. “You said you love me” “How will I love someone like you, Clara is an Alpha daughter but you are the daughter of nobody, an omega” he answered with disgust. “I love you Dylan, I have always loved you” Amelia cried out. “Back off, he is mine, I am carrying his child” Clara pushed her out of her way causing her to stumble backward and she went to stand beside Dylan. She could hear everyone murmuring around her, making different comments about her misfortune while some stared at her with pity. She thought he had agreed because he felt the same way as her but everything was all pretense. Without another word, Amelia turned and ran. She ran out of the church, leaving behind the shattered dreams and the man who had betrayed her. Her tears blurred her vision as she stumbled through the streets, her wedding gown trailing behind her. “Amelia” she heard her best friend calling her name. She stopped in her tracks and turned to face her “I want to be alone” she replied and hurried out. Finally, she found herself in a small park, collapsing onto a bench. The pain in her chest was suffocating, and she buried her face in her hands, sobbing uncontrollably. How could Dylan have done this to her? How could he have played with her heart so callously? As the sun began to set, casting a warm golden glow over the park, Amelia's tears slowly subsided. She wiped her eyes and took a deep breath, determined to pick up the pieces of her shattered life. Little did she know that her life was about to take an unexpected turn. As she sat there, lost in her thoughts, a tall figure emerged from the shadows. His piercing blue eyes locked onto hers, and a shiver ran down her spine. "Are you okay?" the man asked, his voice deep and soothing. Amelia looked up, her eyes meeting his. There was something about him, something powerful and mysterious. She couldn't help but feel drawn to him, as if he held the answers to all her questions. "No," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I'm not okay. But I will be." The man extended his hand towards her, a silent invitation. Without hesitation, Amelia took it, feeling a surge of warmth and strength flow through her. Little did she know that this encounter would change her life forever, leading her down a path of revenge, self-discovery, and ultimately, love.
