Chapter 19

Sinister limped out of the castle and stood before it. Taking steps backwards, still in shock about the events that had taken place, she turned around and started to head towards the city's streets. The streets were covered with people screaming and shouting about the news of Nikita and the events of what had happened. Sinister kept pushing through the crowds trying to get to where she was needed. Pushing through the last bit of the crowd, she reached her once humble home. "I see you are messed up pretty badly" A man stepped from the shadows towards Sinister. "And your point?" Sinister forced herself to get ready to fight again if she had to. The man chuckled and held his hands up as he continued to come into the moon's light. "I am really going to miss you" he looked at her. "Prowler..." Sinister started to speak just for him to shush her. "I understand, truly I do, and I am by your side always baby girl." He finished as he stepped out of her way "But you must move before others catch wind of the crimes you have committed" His voice was rough and full of worry. Sinister nodded as she pushed past him as time was running in slow motion. Sinister reached the coastline and saw the group starting to load into the ship. Sinister limped and slid down the sand dunes. "Sin, do you need help?" Called Toshi from the boat with a laugh. Sinister flipped him off as she reached the ship and began to board it. Once on it, she went to the front of the ship and leaned over the rails looking into the kingdom she loved so much. "Hoist the sails!" James yelled from above as everyone readied the ship for departure. Looking off into the kingdom, something caught Sinister's eye. She looked closer, only to see a woman standing on the top of the sandy dunes. "Violet..." Sinister whispered as she watched the woman as the ship sailed away from the Immortal kingdom. The waves hit the boat and rocked it hard. The sea was angry and Sinister knew why. "Hey, are you daydreaming again?" A female’s voice echoed in Sinister's ears. Sinister chuckled as she turned to face her. "Nice eye patch, soon you will be a pirate like James" Karma taunted her. Sinister rolled her eyes as she looked at the female. "Please, don't wish that on me," She replied with her own twisting, taunting tone." You seem different, what's on that wounded brain of yours?" Karma poked at her. "Nothing that doesn't involve you" Sinister stated as she pushed past her to move to the captain quarters. Sinister opened the door and looked at Jess who was heavily sleeping on the bed. "How is she?" Sinister whispered to the small group that was in the room. "She's fine resting for the most part, not that you care" Hela stated with her annoying ass voice. Sinister waved her off and looked at Jess and went to take a step towards her just to be blocked by Hela. "You've done enough, you are lucky we even said yes to you, coming back." She smarted off. Sinister raised her brow as she spoke "Mmm, pretty sure it's because your king has a promise he threatened me with?" Sinister smarted off back to her. Hela rolled her eyes and didn't move. Sinister huffed and took her leave on that note back to the ship's deck. "See you are having a hard time making friends?" A voice called from the wheel. Sinister looked up and then placed her hands on her hips. "I am sure I have plenty of friends, Mr Shaw," she stated back. His voice was rough when he chuckled. Sinister cleared her throat as he laughed, "Friends are nice to have around, especially when one is injured." He taunted her eye patch. "Will everyone just shut up about my eye patch ugh!" Sinister rubbed her forehead as Shaw laughed once more at her. "Hey no insult here, Just saying take a grain of salt to what the others say they wouldn't have made it this far without you" He winked before he went back to handling the wheel. Sinister huffed as she went to the front of the ship in hopes of having time alone. "So..." A male's voice called from behind her. "f**k" Sinister's head dropped for a moment as she turned around to face the male. "Stefan" Sinister whispered as she looked at him. "That's my name." He laughed lightly "How do you feel?" He asked as his eyes showed worry in them. "Nothing I can't heal from." Sinister turned to face the sea's waves once more. Stefan walked and leaned on the rail next to her. "You don't have to lie to me, I can tell when something is bothering you," he stated, as his head turned to her. Sinister grinned as she looked at him. "I am fine, Just a few new battle scars to add to my collection." She joked as she replied to him. He grinned as he then too looked out into the rough and harsh sea. "Can I ask you something?" He whispered lightly. "Of course" Sinister looked at him. "When you killed her, Did you do it for you or us?" He finished not looking at her. Sinister cleared her throat before she answered. "I took her life.. Because it was needed," Sinister stated, not wishing to go into any more detail about it. Stefan heard the tone in her voice, not wanting to talk more about the subject. "Will you at least tell me you did it for good?" He asked. Sinister nodded and didn't speak when he finished his question. Stefan smirked at her response and simply patted her back as he turned to leave her be. Sinister exhaled a deep breath as she was finally alone to think about everything that had happened. There was only one thing left to do and that was to wait to see what would be next in the Roar Kara. "Land ho!" Shaw called from the wheel. Everyone flooded the front of the ship to start their chatter about finally making it home. As the ship docked and everyone started to rush to get off the boat to greet family and friends. A hand touched Sinister's shoulder to grab her attention. "A moment if you will?" The male asked. "Yes, reptile man?" Sinister shook his reptilian hand from her shoulder. "I might have a cure to what you might have been longing for" He whispered lightly, so the others couldn't hear. Sinister raised a brow. "And would that be?" Shadow smiled ever so softly. "A cure to be human, of course". His tongue flicked in and out as he whispered his reply. Sinister gasped with a chuckle "There isn't such a thing, unless you kill me". She stated, annoyed at him. His mouth formed into a huge grin when she answered. "And what if I say that there is?" His hands moved together in a clasp. Sinister was deeply interested in his question. "And what is the price for this said cure?" Sinister whispered in a hushed voice as she looked around. Shadow shrugged with a devilish grin. "Just a drop of your blood," he stated, "Find me when you wish to continue this conversation." He finished speaking as he walked away to join Hela in welcoming the crowds that surrounded the ship. Sinister was left with wandering thoughts about what he meant by a cure and why it had to do with her blood. There wasn't any possibility of a cure because, once a vampire, you were always a vampire until the day you were killed. Or is that even true anymore?
