Chapter 16

The journey seemed to take forever and that angered Sinister. The conversations that happened all around seemed like childish games to her. Taking a deep and annoyed breath, she went inside the Captain's quarters and raised a brow at the table that held wooden people and town houses. "Help would be nice, Sinister," James announced to gain her attention. "The town you will wash up in is FreePort," Sinister said with a chuckle. "And?" James fished for more information. "It holds the Docking area and a small tavern. And you are in luck. I know that owner very well". She winked with a grin. James grumbled as she avoided his questions. "FreePort is a safe point. No one will harm us there". Sinister waved her hand in the air for the added effect of her seductive tone. "Then from there you will hit the main city, Providence, where we need to start to watch our backs." Sinister finished for a second. "Get on with it, blood sucker," Lukyn stated. She cleared her throat." From there is the dark forest, and then after that is the mountains and then booms you are near the castle." Sinister grinned. "I think we should break off into groups, Captain. We can cover more ground and have less attention to us." Shadow stated as he piped up from the back of the room. James nodded in agreement. "While you discuss who is whose group, I am flying solo," Sinister stated as she turned to leave the room as they finished their discussions. The wind smelt sour to Sinister the closer they got to her homeland. "Land ho Captain" Shaw bellowed from the front of the ship. Sinister's eyes moved into the waters ahead and there she was, back home at last. Sinister's feet stepped into the old and warped wooden docks and everyone followed suit. "Just a head is the tavern. My old friend is there, and I am sure she will be happy to see us,” Sinister chuckled as she began to walk ahead. Reaching the small stone path, the tavern lit up brightly and blared its music loudly. "Gambler sure did know how to host a party" Sinister grinned, as she waved for the others to follow. Before Sinister could open the door, it opened and a man flew out on the ground. He tried to get his balance, but he ended up crawling away in a fast way. "And stay out you cheap-ass!", called a brown head female that now stood at the tavern's door. "I see you haven't lost your touch" Sinister chuckled as she reached her hand out to shake hers. "Ahhh, Sinister, you have returned, and I see you have thirsty followers". Her voice was a very thick Scottish accent as she took Sinister's hand. "Well come on don't be scared of a little drink", she chuckled. Lukyn then pushed to get to the front. "Ohh smells like fish, I love fish". He winked with a dashing smile. Gambler ushered them all in and shut the door behind her. "Please, make yourself at home" Gambler stated. "Siren" James looked her up and down. "Indeed, I am a sailor boy". She sang as she spoke. "And this is where I am departing". Sinister looked at James. "If you go straight from here you will reach the dark forest, from there you will have the advantage of meeting me in the mountains. I am taking the route to Providence. I have something to do before I meet up with you." Sinister finished as she then took her leave. The journey to her little town she made home was a difficult and harsh reminder of what she had chosen to do. Sinister's nose burned with the scent of a fire and something rotting nearby. "Hmm, wonder who that is?" She mumbled as she moved towards the fire and the rotting smell. Her nose then burned from a new smell she hadn't smelt in a long time. "Mmm demon", she uttered as she got closer to the fire and smell. She stuck to the shadows of the trees to hide herself. The male was sitting in front of the fire and his skin was as red as the fire. His black hair was slicked back, and his body was slim but built with muscles. "I know you are there, I am not stupid", the male's voice boomed with a smooth-edged roughness. Sinister moved out of the trees but stood close in the shadows. "And who are you?" She asked as her arms crossed. " Hmm, not that easy girl, how about you tell me yours. Then we shall see if I reply." A scoff came from Sinister's lips as she listened to him before she spoke. "Mmm Yeah not happening on my end Demon boy" The male stood and adjusted his pants with a dashing smirk. He stood only 5'11. As he faced her, he made eye contact with her. "And I won't ask again?" He stated in an argent tone. "Sinister Von Monroe" She stated in her own argent tone. "Good girl" He stated as he then sat back down on a tree stump and stirred whatever was in his pot rotting away. "Girl?" Sinister shot back as she came from the shadows "Please Demon boy, I am more than any girl" She placed her hands on her hips. He chuckled as his red eyes moved to her ice-blue eyes. Sinister raised a brow, annoyed by this little game. "Kairon the demon Lord" was all he stated as he went back to making his meal. "Very well" Sinister stated, then had a thought. A grin formed on her lips. "You might be of some use to me, Demon boy", She snickered. "And that is what girl?" He replied as he shifted his body to her. "I need a small amount of your blood" Sinister watched him for his reply. "And why would I do that?" He responded "Whatever, could you give me something that is equal to my blood?" Sinister shrugged as she blew a taunting kiss at him "Find me when you are ready to make this deal" She laughed as she walked away from the male as he seemed very useful to her. As Sinister moved forward her cozy dark mansion was in eyesight. Placing her hand on the cold metal gate that stood in front of her, she placed her head on it. Breathing out a sense of relief that home was right there, she chuckled lightly as she had longed for this moment for months. "Home" was all she whispered out before she turned around and pulled her ice blade from its sheath. "You are truly making this all so damn easy" Dimitri laughed as he came from the shadows. "Please you are a lost puppy dog, and you are not welcomed here" Sinister took her stance to fight. " Please on what grounds? You are a traitor, you choose them and this is no longer yours. I am sorry to inform you about that". He drew out his blade as he finished speaking. He stepped forward and let out a growl as he then rushed at Sinister full force. Sinister rushed at him as well, and she then swung her ice blade to only hit the tip of his blade like before. Dimitri then took his right arm and quickly jabbed Sinister on the right side. Sinister took her right elbow to deliver a blow to the side of his face. As the blow was delivered to his face, he raised up his left leg to knee her in the stomach hard before pushing her to the ground. Sinister then fell to the ground for a moment before she grew with anger and stood as she then rushed at the male with all her might. Their blades clashed together once more, causing loud clashes among them. Sinister moved her left leg and delivered a nasty blow to his groin area. Dimitri screamed out in pain for a moment before getting his bearings once more and taking his blade and slashed at her. Sinister took a few steps backwards in pain as she placed a hand over the gash he delivered to her torso. Sinister lifted her hand and smirked as she then took another charge and swung towards his left arm. Dimitri growled as the blade connected to his arm. Taking his left elbow, he delivered a blow to her jawbone that knocked her to her knees once more. Dimitri took this opportunity, he then took the hilt of his blade and delivered a blow to her head that placed her unconscious. He painted as he took his hand and whipped the sweat from his face. "Time to get you to the castle then". He laughed breathlessly.
