Chapter 13

The sun began to shine on the kingdom's lands and Sinister chewed at her bottom lip as she thought deeply. Choosing what she knew wasn't so simple for her anymore and choosing a side she had never considered before left her speechless. Sinister's eyes were closed as she didn't want to think anymore about this matter. Her nose was soon filled with a scent that she knew by heart now. Kicking her legs upon her desk she spoke lowly "Wasn't expecting to see you so soon". She finished as the male entered the Teepee. "Trust and believe I didn't want to be here either." The man soon then removed his hooded cloak. "Then why come nature boy?" Sinister's eyes floated over to him. He let out a cold sigh as he went to the desk and spoke "I feel a shift is arising and can't make out any of it." Sinister moved her feet from the desk and on the ground, as her glare didn't break. "And what is that?" Sinister asked half-ass not caring. "Well, for one I have brought a gift." He stated as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a yellow gold sun necklace and placed it on the table. "A gift to be able to move without restriction" His voice was soft and very hushed. Sinister raised a brow as he laid the necklace down. "And that's for what?" She stated, slightly confused. "I'm taking a guess, I suppose." He chuckled as he reached to pick it up once more and offered to put it on her. Sinister allowed him to do so, as he moved behind her to drape the gold-chained necklace around her neck. Clearing her throat after he was finished, Emerys just chuckled as he went to take his leave. "And what is this shift?" she asked aloud as she watched him head to the entrance. Emerys laughed softly as he held the door open, causing the teepee to fill with the sun's light. Sinister's eyes grew as she let out a snarled scream "Stop!" The sun's rays hit her arm as she went to cover her face. For the first time in a long time, the sun didn't hurt her. Moving her arm down to look at her arm, she was confused by what was happening. Emerys nodded as he then took his leave, shutting the sun out behind him. Shell shock took over Sinister as she stood still not knowing what had happened fully. Taking a few steps towards the entrance, she was leery of what she thought about doing. Taking her hand to the entrance, she moved to the side as she pulled it open slightly. The sun rushed through in no time. Taking her free hand, she moved it slowly into the sun's rays. Her fingers touched the rays and there wasn't a burning pain in them, but simply a numb feeling. Reaching her hand out into the sun's rays even further, the same feeling occurred. Taking a deep breath, she then opened the entrance further and stepped out into the sun's rays fully. Looking around, she moved her hand to cover her eyes as the sun was too bright for her liking. As her eyes adjusted to the bright light, Sinister looked around, taking in all the details around her now that the light was shining brightly upon everything. Sinister couldn't help but form a grin on her lips as she stood tall. "Well, a lot of problems," she said as she smirked. 'Well, time for busyness". Sinister began to walk towards the city without a care in the world. All that was on her mind was a drink from the tavern, but other things were way more important. The path seemed like it took forever even though it really wasn't, and before she knew it she stood in the city's marketplace. People pushed past Sinister and even whispered as they looked her way. Sinister was impressed with all the gossip that swirled around her and grew annoyed. Sinister pushed past them ready to stop hearing them gossip and talk about her behind her back in whispers. She reached the castle and a sense of relief came over her, as she walked into it, only if it was for a moment. Hearing the shouts down the castle's hallways, Sinister rolled her eyes as it seemed this would be her new normal. Reaching the throne room, the shouting still continued. Sinister couldn't take hearing anymore. "For f**k's sake, is this all you people do? Fight and then fight more?" She shouted as it gained their gaze towards her. "How are you...?" Jess scattered to assemble the words to finish her sentence. James moved closer to Jess as he glared at Sinister. "Shh, not important right now". Sinister shrugged her off, as her eyes then floated to look at Tushy and another male that she couldn't place along with Lukyn and his female companion. Also, among them was Hela and the reptilian from the tavern. "What brings you here then", Jess was the one to pipe up from the small group. Sinister smirked as she then leaned on the wall and crossed her arms. "You are in danger. What is the game plan?" Sinister replied, getting straight and to the point. Jess blinked as she really didn't have an answer to that question. "I think Jess should go back to the cabin, which is safer there than in those walls, then the rest of us could attack the threat." Hela piped up in hopes the others around, came to their right state of mind about this. "No it's best that the people know she's safe so that there isn't a riot in the streets." Toshimoto stated after Hela. Sinister smirked as they spoke as Jess perked up to speak" And what do you think we should do, since you seem amused by all this?" She looked at Sinister coldly. Sinister scoffed as she pushed herself up to walk towards them. "Honestly you are all f****d" She paused before she went to speak more. "Dimitri isn't stupid by all means. The best choice for this is that you stay put where you are, and I'll be the hero", She finished. Jess scoffed as she then waved her hands in the air. "Oh and that is what a trader would say, right?. Feeding the bait right into the trap," James shouted loudly as he grew more and more upset about this whole thing. "So are we not going to fight?" A rough edge super-ego voice asked. "Oh do we need to talk slower, Lukyn?" Sinister mocked with a laugh as he rolled his eyes. "Enough!" Jess shouted. "Sinister, how is it that you are able to walk in the sun?" The reptile would ask. Sinister was shocked that he even spoke. "Don't worry about it. Who is that?" Sinister replied, taking note of the new male. He chuckled lightly as it just amazed him that Sinister was even there. The male's voice rang a bell in her head in a familiar sense from the past. "We can get to that later". Sinister growled as she refocused on the situation present. "Stefan, please let's not bother with the trader," James chimed in. "Someone still has their panties in a bunch" Sinister snarky replied to James. Hela's laugh burned in her ears as she laughed at a high pitch. "When were pets allowed in the castle?" Sinister hissed back as Hela rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. "I can't deal with you people, I am the queen, and I am staying!" Jess shouted back and stormed to the balcony. "Cute" Sinister said with a chuckle as she watched her leave. Once Jess took her leave, the shouting reemerged in the room among themselves once more, before it all came to the sound of blades and footsteps that moved to the balcony.
