CHAPTER 18

OLIVIA'S POV-

"Mom, i have an important business party tonight so don't wait up for me. i will be late." i told my mom and she said "who are you going with?"

"luc...i mean Mr. Donavan."

"but why you have to go with him......i am sure he must be having many girls around him."

"Mom this is a formal party and i am his assistant so i have to be with him on such occasions for better business. no more queries. i have to get ready." i kissed her on her cheeks and quickly went to my room. i have only one hour to get ready. so i quickly went to the bathroom to take a bath.

in the shower, i started reminiscing today's events. the way Lucas handled me made me secure and safe for the first time in some guys's arms. i was rather enjoying his warmth and i just slept. Although it was just a quick nap but i needed it to calm myself down or else i would have had panic attack. i still remember the first time i got locked in the lift was during college. i left the campus quite late and almost everyone left the building. i entered in the lift all alone and as soon as i entered the lift, it stopped working. i was all alone so i panicked and started shouting like a madwomen.

but no one was there to rescue me and i eventually fainted.but luckily my roommate told the security about me so they checked on everywhere in the campus but didn't found me. Rebecca found that i am stuck in the lift because of the ringtone of my phone. she tried calling me and  heard my phone ringing outside the lift and i was saved by them.

me and Lucas then both went to his friend's  designer shop whom i assume is a gay from his behavior and we both went inside the boutique to select perfect dress for me. Lucas did not bothered to come with me or to select dresses for me which i was really thankful of.

zac guided me to his evening gowns section and it was so bright and sparkling. for once i felt like i am moving in some princess's wardrobe.

"So tell me miss do you have any special preference to the kind of dress you want."asked zac

"nothing in specific zac. i just don't want the dress to show too much of my skin." and he went on to bring dresses for me.

He started showing me some dresses and they all were nice but my eyes ended up on a red mermaid gown and asked Zac to show it.he brought it to me and i instantly fell in love with that gown. 

"but Olivia this gown is a little bit showy, do you still want to try it?" 

"yes'' and i went to the try room to try the gown. it was a lace gown with deep neck and back ending just above my hips. it had a beautiful flare and i was looking so beautiful with the dress complementing my curves at the right places. i came out of the try room and Zac's eyes bulged out at the sight of me.

"oh my god! if i were straight, i would definitely fall head over heels for you."

"thank you so much zac."

"let's go girl, we need to find perfect pair of heels for you."

and we went to his footwear collection and i wanted to just steal each and every footwear present there. they were so beautiful yet costly. i was busy admiring his collection when he showed me the matching pair of stilettos and they were perfect for my outfit. he asked the staff to pack the stuff i brought.

"so are you guys dating?" Zac asked

"what? i mean no. i am just his personal assistant and we are just friends. nothing more than that."

"well that's a little, Lucas is not dating a beautiful girl like you."

"well, his charms failed to capture my heart then." i said and winked.

"mamamia, there is actually some girl who is immune to Lucas's charm but let me tell you if he likes you, he will make you fall in love with him too."

"well thanks for your advice but he can't do anything if i won't allow him." and with that we both went out of his collection room to the main area where Lucas was sitting and he was busy on his phone. he saw me and paid the bill and we both left the boutique. he dropped me to my house and i felt like something is missing and thanked Lucas for helping me. with that we parted our ways. 

i came out of the shower and started drying my hair. i started getting ready. i thought of going with smoky makeup look and red lips is my favorite.  i decided to let my hair in loose curls that complemented my overall look so much. my phone started ringing and saw Lucas's caller id on it. i instantly picked up the call

"are you ready Olivia?" he asked

"yes lucas."

"i will be there in couple of minutes then." and with that he cut the call and i gave myself final touch ups when i heard the house bell ringing and i knew lucas has arrived. before i could open the door, i saw from my room that dad opened the door for him and he was standing at the door holding a bouquet  of red roses.

"welcome Mr. Donavan. Olivia must be coming down any minute. Have a seat."my dad said and he sat on the sofa seemed like looking for me.

i entered the hall and the sound of my heels made both the gentlemen sitting there looking at me continuously.

i stood in front of both of them when dad spoke "oh my god my princess, you are looking so beautiful." and he kissed my forehead.

"please take good care of my girl Mr. Donavan." he said to lucas to which he nodded his head reassuringly. they shook their hands and Lucas gave me the flowers. he then offered me his arm and we both left the house.

"you are looking gorgeous love. it will be hard for everyone their to take their eyes off you." to which i replied with a simple thank you.

he brought his Land rover and his chauffeur was driving the car. he first made me sit in the car like a true gentleman helping me setting with my dress and then sat himself.

"to the venue john." he said to his chauffeur.

the ride to the venue was quiet and i could feel a pair of eyes on me all the time. i tried to ignore it first but then i finally spoke with little nervousness in my voice "stop staring"

but instead of looking away he inched towards me almost hovering over me and said near my ears and his lips almost touching them "i wish i could but i can't and i don't want to look away either." and he sat back to his seat like earlier still looking at me but with smile plastered on his face.

i tried to look away from him but it was impossible as he was now intentionally doing it just to make me uncomfortable and i spat "do whatever you want, crazy man."

"only for you." he said and i don't know why but i started blushing at this very hard and tried to hide my face so i did not respond to it. soon we reached the venue and i was shocked to see the scenario outside the entrance. there were a lot of people standing outside the door holding the cameras in their hands and anyone would be blinded with this much lights. a red carpet had been setup in the middle and it was all looking so royal.

"are you ready sweetheart?" he asked and i nodded.

the chauffeur first opened the door for Lucas and he came towards my side and then he opened the door for me. i am not terrified by seeing such scenario in front of me but i was just a little nervous. Lucas offered me his hand and i stepped out of the car and he held me by my waist and suddenly i shuddered with sudden contact and he felt that too because of my bare back.

he spoke in my ears "you are going to be the death of me love. i don't know how to keep myself away from you tonight" and pecked on my cheeks.if some other guy would do such things with me then i would definitely show him stars but i don't know why i was liking all these things lucas doing to me.

"who is this beautiful girl with you Mr. Donavan?" 

"is she your new flavor of the month?"

"please tell us about your current status Mr. Donavan?"

"what is your relation with Mr. Donavan madam?"

we were bombarded with so much questions and Lucas already warned me about this situation and he told me to remain quiet in front of them and we entered inside the hall without giving anyone answers.
