CHAPTER 16

OLIVIA'S POV-

i was doing my work when Emmy came to my office and said " Here are the files of Black Corporation and sir will instruct you what to do" and left the office. within no time i got a call from Lucas to come in his office and i went there and he acted all professional with me like nothing happened earlier. I know he does not like me calling him 'Sir' so i intentionally called him sir again and again just to annoy him. but he kept on telling me about the importance of this meeting and files to me which i assume is very valuable to him. suddenly an idea popped up in my mind on how to make him angry and disappointed at me so he will just remove me out of his company. 

i have never played foul. i have been raised with ethics and values but Lucas has made me play the dirty tricks and i will leave this company either by hook or crook. although i am disappointed at myself that i am going to let down the company i admired the most for which i promised myself to give my best but the circumstances has changed for me and i did not do the work assigned to me by him. he called me in the noon and i knew the reason so i went to his office a little nervous but still i continued my act and kept on annoying him. i knew he will be hell pissed when he will knew that i have not done my work but what can i do! he pushed me to do all this. as i expected, he was fuming with anger when he saw the files but i tried not to show my fear and looked all confident in front of him. he asked me that why i have not done the work to which i gave him a very cocky reply that i was not interested. i was amazed at me tone and it seemed like i am the boss and he is my employee.

i held my arms in rage and started wriggling in his arms. i don't like him being anywhere near me but he shouted so loud at me that i calmed down in his grip. he wanted to know the reason of my careless act but let go of me for now because he had much more important works to do than handling me. he asked me to get out of his office and i was certainly happy that my mission is successful. just around half an hour earlier than the meeting and told me to be at my best behaviour and i blurted out that he should fire me if he is afraid of my attitude and after saying that i just slapped myself mentally.

he then understood the reason of my actions and told me that he will never fire me even if i don't do any work in the company. but i challenged him that i will force him to fire me and we both then went for the meeting. I and Lucas reached the conference room where many people were sitting and as soon as we both entered the room, everyone stood up form their places and greeted Lucas with respect. 

a very handsome and charming man along with two more people ,one was a really beautiful blonde and and another a little old man stood by his side came towards Lucas and hugged each other in a friendly yet professional way and the man said "hello Mr. Donavan, it's so good to see you after so long."

" yeah Mr. Black how are you?" said Lucas and i could sense they are very close to each other. 

"i am good Mr. Donavan,  let's start the meeting."

"yeah sure."

and the meeting started. i sat next to Mr. Lucas and he was giving presentation and he was looking so handsome and admirable. i was trying not to gawk at him but was not able to resist myself. but someone else was consistently looking at Lucas too and she is the same blonde that came with Mr. black. she was giving all sultry and lustful looks to him. Lucas also noticed her looks but completely ignored her.

Lucas ended up his presentation and sat next to me again and all of the members started discussing everything. i note down everything. i do want to anger Lucas  but i don't want the company to face any losses or destroy company to face any disrespect because of me so i wrote every necessary detail required. the meeting ended and everyone started leaving the hall. 

only me, lucas, Mr. Black and his two companions were left in the conference room.

"the deal is fixed as usual and you never fail to amaze us Mr. Donavan."

"Thank you Mr. Black, let's sign the deal now. Olivia give me the paper."

i handed him over the paper and they both signed the deal. 

"well Mr. Donavan, i assume she is your personal assistant. won't you introduce this gorgeous girl?" said Mr. Black and lucas cleared his throat and said "Sure, this is Olivia my new personal Assistant and she is really an ambitious and hard w**********l. " he said and i was quite surprised by his remark. i don't if he was actually praising me or mocking me but i gave both of them a really sweet smile.

"hello MS. olivia i am Sam black and i must say you are really beautiful girl." he said and i replied "thank you Mr. Black "

"just Sam Ms. Olivia".

"and Mr. Donavan i am throwing a party tonight at my mansion and you have to come and bring Olivia with you and yeah you cannot enter without your date. Scarlet give the card to Mr. Donavan." that blonde gave the card to him intentionally showing her cleavage.

"looking forward to see you too Olivia. good bye" said mr. black and left the room.

we both went out of the cabin when Lucas said "come to my office right now Olivia" and i followed him to his office.we both entered his office and he asked me to sit on the sofa and i sat their silently.  i thought he will now lash on me for my behavior today and i was ready to take in all the harsh words said by him but he said "listen Olivia, i know you are a very capable and hardworking girl and you know very well how much hard work you have put in your life and i really did not expected such kind of behavior by you because the first thing that attracted me towards you was your personality and you want to play with your career just because the small and silly dispute among us. i gave you this position because i thought i can trust you with my work and you played with it already. my likeness towards you is completely a personal thing whereas your job is all professional Olivia. so keep them both separate and i am a man with experience olivia, if i throw you out of this company after giving you bad remarks then you know very well, no good company will hire you for a decent position in their company because of the reputation of Donavan enterprises. so think about your actions and i know you are smart enough for that."

i thought about whatever lucas said and he is right. i was going to mess up with my career just because of this love-hate relationship with lucas which i could have handles with rather more morals but i ended up trying to play foul and hurting his trust over me as an employee. i guess he is not that bad either so i said "i am so sorry lucas. i don't know what got over my mind that i acted so immaturely and trust me i will do my work with honesty. but i want you to promise me one thing that you will not come close to me. i have never dated anyone in my life and i am not even planning to do so in near future. so you will only end up hurting yourself. so let's just be friends only."

"listen Olivia feelings are not something that will just fade away and i don't want to stay away from you. i will win you at any cost." he started coming towards me and sat next to me on the sofa i was sitting on. i tried to create some distance. he entrapped me by keeping both his arms around me. he started inching towards be and continued in my ears such that his lips were touching them" and about being close, i know Olivia you resist yourself and i can feel that but i can also feel your heart beating fastly whenever i come close to you. open up yourself olivia and see how beautiful the world or give me the chance to show you the beauty of your surroundings. you are only and only mine."

i stood up and he said "i am going to take you on shopping after the office to get you necessary things for tonight's party and before you say something about it,  these all things are in Comapany's premises so we will leave from the office together."

"aright" and i left his office. i don't know why i feel it is going to be a long day and night for me.
