What little air Jonah had inhaled seeped past his lips as he gripped the chair. His treacherous lungs refused to take another breath even though they burned from the lack of oxygen. None of that mattered after the news Ally delivered. Another thought plagued his mind. Had Ally accepted the proposal from her ex-boyfriend? He drew in a deep, cherry scented breath.
