Chapter 4

Dawn's POV

I looked down the hall, with my hands in akimbo. Almost like twenty rooms seemed to have welcomed two or more lust filled teenagers

"Oops, sorry"

I quickly stepped out of the room. God, those two were even naked already

The last room I entered was the worst

"Woah, woah wow" My eyes widened

"What the f**k" they jumped

"I didn't see anything" I screamed behind me after I already shut the door. I've really never seen a double f**k before, guess it really exists

I groaned loudly,Yeah I know it won't be easy,but finding Adam Hudson's room is a lot harder than I thought

I was about to leave when I noticed a turn,and some cream noises.I took a few steps ,my heading going before me to check who ever it was that's there

"Ohh Liam,there you are" He jolted,squinted his eyes with his mouth muttering words

"Ahh Dawn,My name is Dawn"

"Ohh,Dawn,the new girl.Hi" He laughed awkwardly and was a little loud for someone who is just four feet away from me

"Hi" I smiled back and gesticulating behind me

"Layla,has been looking all over for you,what are you doing here?" I tried peeping

"Uh,nothing.Why did she need me"

"I don't know" He smiled and mumbled "Okay"

"What are you doing?" He was close to making the turn when he suddenly stopped

"What?"

"Are you not coming"

"Oh no,I needed the bathroom,I just came to fetch you" I kept my hand on the door knob of a room,he just made an"uh-huh" and left

My eyes searched the whole corridor,I slipped into one of the rooms by my right,it was dark. The door creaked as I squeezed myself in.Then I used my hand to trace the walls beside me,10 centimeters each.The lights were about to come on when I changed my mind,I quickly reached for my phone from under my thigh

Turned on the flashlights

"Shitty Heavens"

I ruffled through the scattered documents on the desk

"THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA

RUNNING FOR MAYOR,ADAM HUDSON" I scoffed after reading it,let's see how it goes

I went to the shelves

Nothing,nothing nothing

Then my eyes caught a safe,I moved close to it,it needed a password.

I heard a creak from behind me

Paused and looked around

What if someone is in here,my heart suddenly jumped,I waved my phone flashlights around the office and turned it off

I waited in the dark for a few seconds,tapping my index finger on the back of my phone

At the same time I bit my lip,I f*****g need a password to this safe

When I did not hear any sound,I brightened my phone screen and decided to try my luck with the safe.To my surprise,it opened.I instantly turned on my flashlight and looked around again.

What if there is a camera in here,there surely will be one.My heart skipped once more.I scanned the room desperately

None,safe right?

Or....I paused

What if there is someone else here

What's the point of keeping a safe if not to keep it private.But I quickly waved that thought off too,before someone comes in and finds me ransacking the Hudson's private Office

I brought out the files and checked it's content one by one

Nothing

Nothing

What? I mumbled,nothing?

I was about to keep it all back when something caught my attention.

Pictures of a car, above water and out of water.i don't know what it looks like but I could see the car covered in algae

I quickly took my phone and snapped everything,then I heard another quiet stump

Someone had to be here

This time I'm not checking out of fear,I am just curious as to why such a person didn't bother to come out and threaten me

I walked slowly to the direction of where I heard the first noise,my heart tentatively hearing low stumps,I kept moving,slowly

Then it stopped,and I paused too.

Whatever that is,it is behind the book shelf.i was about tuning the shelf when this guy popped out from behind the shelf and scared the s**t out of me

"Holy s**t"

I was almost screaming,I staggered backwards and tried supporting myself with the desk behind me.The guy himself, covered in this sweat was lying flay on the ground.

The guy quickly reached for his face cap on the ground and covered his face with it

"who are you, what the f**k are you doing here?. Why were you behind the shelf"

i couldn't stop with the questions, not when I know I was caught by someone or is it that I caught someone instead?.

He didn't reply to any of my questions, he just dusted his trousers, straightened his top and made to leave

"who are you?, a spy?" This time my voice was loud, whoever this guy was, he is also up to know good

He turned around and walked towards me slowly, forcing me to retreat too.

He didn't stop until I could feel my back rest on the shelf and I stopped moving. He was so close now

"let's just say we have a mutual interest"

The room was dark,my phone's face down on the ground but the reflection could still make me size how tall he is.I could feel his breath almost like he scoffed

Then he left.

Closing the door gently behind him.

"Oh Danny, you came... So glad you are here"

That was Layla talking. My head skipped,I pounced on my phone,turned it off and lay quiet in the darkness.It wasn't until I heard retreating steps that I calmed down

"Danny" I repeated the name in my head
