POV 4: RED

Oh for goodness sake... AGAIN?!

I slumped my arms on my desk, making a loud bang as I did so. This wood was about to break.

"What is it this time Alex?" I grumbled impatiently. Perhaps a little harsh, but I was running out of ideas.

I've been stuck in this office for five hours since returning back from the dungeon. I'd just filled out the accident report, and I still had a a tonne of work to do..

If ever he could pick the wrong time to try anything it was definitely now, I really didn't have anymore time for his interruptions.

His presence was really starting to piss me off too in general..

"I just wondered what would look better? should I go for the red pallets or the green?"

I massaged my temples as he showed off two different coloured roof pallets up against his naked torso, If he wasn't trying to make that obvious enough he also had his arms flexing as he attempted seduction.

I really need to lock my office door in future...

"Green I guess?" I yawned, I was already feeling the strain to stay awake. I didn't need him trying to keep me awake too.

"What are those for anyway?"

I realised my mistake when he seemed really excited that I asked.

"I felt me and some volunteers should make a start on that farm roof, really try get Arthur back in his own home as soon as possible. The house structure is still in amazing shape considering, so it shouldn't take too long to redo... I just think it's a kind gesture, wouldn't you agree?"

"Yes Alex" I replied, I tried not to seem disinterested in him, that was a nice thing he was doing "that's very kind of you, thankyou"

"Oh no problem at all"! He piped up happily "I'll always help the pack in a time of need! It's a part of my oath"!

"Indeed"

I quickly turned back to my computer again and began typing. "Earth fire pack" *Click!

No results.

Weird.

I began pulling up every file in the packs inventory. Still nothing... There's no recollection whatsoever...

"So how's the research coming along?"

He came up closer exposing his top half right in front of my face. I moved over quick.

"I've had to add the prisoners information to this data base" I explained trying to not turn my head "But the pack they claim to be from has absolutely no existence anywhere.. Not even as a former pack that's been taken over from"

Most of my time had consisted on trying to find out where these people came from. I'd gone through every single file and book, called up every pack and did a computer search, I even asked my pack if they knew of it. Nobody seems to have heard of it at all...

"They aren't being truthful maybe?" He suggested. At this point I really hoped he was right.

"But then why does nobody recognise these people?"

He just shrugged.

"Who knows. But if it's not in the archive then maybe it's time to interrogate them now"

"I guess"

I closed my files down and tried to select the archive. I didn't want it to come to an interrogation but if it had to be done...

"Why not ask the Alpha and Luna when they return?" He interrupted me. He started massaging my shoulders which ended very quickly with a snarl from my wolf. He stopped straight away.

"I don't wish to alarm them with any of this news, especially while they are currently away for a meeting"

Truth be told I actually didn't want to worry the Luna anymore than she already was. I had to show that I could achieve this on my own somehow...

I closed the archive after another failed search and went back to my data base.

"I know they'll need to be informed of this regardless. I just hope we can get to the bottom of it soon"

"We will" Alex patted my shoulder before heading straight for the door.

"but for now, If you need anything, you know where I am" He winked before finally disappearing down the corridor. I was back on my own.

THANK GOODNESS!

"I will block that exit and never show our face again!" Razor growled. She was still very tense from our encounter just now, and I can't say I blamed her...

"It's okay. He means well" I reminded her "He's just a little over friendly at times"

She just snorted. I don't she bought that anymore than I did.

Now where was I?

I continued filling out the prisoners files having to leave their pack location blank. I just had one more to go and then I was done until morning. I couldn't stay awake any longer.. I had to get a coffee soon.

"WHERE IS SHE!?"

"What?"

My eyes snapped open, my head was sideways on my desk... Did I fall asleep?

Wow.

My computer was still on the data base and I still hadn't completed the document.. I must have crashed midway through completion. How tired was I?

"I don't care who's in charge! I want to see my daughter now!!!"

What on earth is that?!

I ran to the window and ripped open the curtains, a middle aged man and a woman could be seen arguing with two of my night guards. They definitely looked like bad news.

"We demand you release our daughter this instant!"

"What the hell is going on!?!?" I quickly mind linked my men outside, one of them returned it instantly "I believe we are dealing with the prisoners parents Commander"

He did not sound happy about it.

"Hang on I'm coming down..." I ran out my office and made my way down the stairs, Bumping into every staff member along the way.

"Good morning Ma'am!" I was greeted by all the morning staff as they decorated the staircase ready for the anniversary ball. They managed to cover an enormous amount of the hall, meaning the ball room was the last thing to do. Our staff never fail to amaze me with their hard work.

"Good morning" I replied, I suddenly had Alex trying to mind link me.

Oh what now?..

"Yes?"

He sounded urgent.

"Something's going on outside Commander! there's a fight about to erupt"

I just rolled my eyes. "Yes I know that, can you ensure back up is in place please"

"Already outside now, were on standby!" the link was over, and I was so happy I got a link just for that. Idiot...

I threw the doors open.

"I'M TELLING YOU NOW IF ANY HARM HAS COME TO MY DAUGHTER-" The woman finally stopped screeching when she saw me walking over, I nodded for my men to stand down "What's going on here?"

The atmosphere changed. The man and the woman both looked very confused. Very unsure.

"I'm sorry, and you are..."

"Red Thornmoor, I'm currently filling in the Alpha and Lunas absence"

That was it, it didn't take long to see the blood rush from their face. If only it lasted though.

"Well then it's you we need to talk to"! The woman shrieked again. Thankfully the husband calmed her down before I suddenly had to have my say...

"Calm yourself darling" he warned softly, his attention turned to me.

"My apologies, my wife and I received a call last night from my daughter that she and her friends were being held up in your dungeon, we just wanted to take them back"

A call?

I glared over at Alex who just put his head down. Good to know their processions where still working...

"Whatever the issue is, I'm happy to cover any costs you need to resolve the problem"

I looked over these people to see if I could see any kind of resemblance. Sure enough she did have her fathers blue eyes...

And her mothers long blonde hair....

Slim figure.....

"Issue or not! we will not allow our daughter to be thrown into a prison like some common stray wolf!" the woman spat furiously.... All my suspicions were instantly confirmed. These were infact, definitely her parents.

The fact she didn't even hesitate to breath fire at me, was already DNA number one.... Oh well, at least I didn't need to do a DNA test to prove it now.

"Your daughter and her two friends were involved in some serious property damage on our lands" I stared down this woman who was trying to intimidate me. She knew she wasn't going to win...

"The issue we have here is how this is going to be repayed"

"HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE MY DAUGHTER OF SUCH TENDANCIES!" The mother screamed foaming from the mouth "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHO YOU ARE DEALING WITH!?"

I smirked. "No, do you?..."

Her eyes flared fire as she began to approach me, I could feel Razor getting ready to attack. "And just who do you think you are to be able to just throw anyone in prison. Your not even in charge here..."

"She is when we're away I'm afraid"

We all span around to see Alpha James and Luna Saffron standing outside his car, my other wolves were growling not far behind them.

"Your back already!?" I mind linked the Luna, but she ignored me. I don't think she was best impressed with me right now...

"I trust you aren't giving my people any grief again Charlotte.. This didn't end well for you last time if you remember"

....

Last time?

This Charlotte quickly marched over to where Luna Saffron was standing and pointed her finger in her face.

"You better believe they're getting grief! Your careless Commander decided to lock MY daughter away without even so much as a phone call!!!! We've been worried sick"!!!!

"Perhaps it's because your daughter can't understand how to answer simple questions!" I bit back aggressively. The woman looked ready to lunge straight in my direction.

"Now Red" The Luna raised her hand calmly. I already knew what that meant.

"Apologies" I bowed my head and bit my tongue in silence, Razor was almost ready to rip her way out and shred this wolf apart...

"I assume that was who caused the fire back at the farm then?" Alpha James pointed over the wall "We noticed the crop lands as we were driving past"

I nodded. "Yes, and they have confessed to the damages Alpha"

The Luna's body language changed.

"Then by those standards, I can understand why she was locked up" the Luna smiled at this Charlotte. "And within the pack laws, your daughter could have ended up having a much harsher punishment than a simple time out behind our bars. You know the rules"

Charlotte began to shake uncontrollably, clenching her fists at her sides. "You dare touch my daughter-"

"You'll do what Charlotte?" The Luna began to send out a powerful aura of submission, Charlotte didn't stand a chance! "You'll have to choose your next words carefully if you wish for the release of your daughter"

Charlotte nodded, and the Luna released her hold, Charlotte was back and breathing very heavily.

"Please!" the father has finally spoken up again "I understand my daughter is notorious for finding trouble in the wrong places. But I am happy to cover any damages she and her friends have caused!" He pulled out his check book and a pen from his blazer pocket.

"All I ask is for her release, and I will write however much you need"

The Luna finally looked over and linked me back.

"I told you to tell me if anything went wrong!" she growled.

I didn't need to guess how mad she was.. I remained quiet and gave her a glance of apology

"Go release the prisoners, we'll talk about this more later"

I bowed once more and took my leave, making my way over to the palace dungeon, I could still hear them talking behind me.

"And I trust you will be on your way afterwards Alpha Zeke?"

..... Wait...

Did she say Alpha Zeke?

"Yes, we only just returned yesterday, so we still have a lot to catch up on when we get home. We'll be leaving shortly"

Oh no.

My stomach twisted as I clocked on to who I was releasing, If he's the Alpha....

Alpha Zeke of the earth fire pack.. And the daughter..An Alpha!?

That irresponsible girl in the dungeon was an Alpha!
