The next day the chalet’s phone rang. She wondered if the call would be for them, or if it would be a wrong number.
It was Helen.
“I got the owner’s number off the Internet, from the house website. I called them and they gave it to me.”
Oh dear. I hope they don’t continue to do that. She didn’t want everyone to know how to get in touch, only those she wanted to be in touch with. It hadn’t occurred to Kathryn to give the number to Helen. Honestly, she thought Helen was probably sick of them and glad they’d moved on. But she was happy Helen found them; it was good to hear a friendly voice this morning.
