Janice spoke to several girls around town. She talked to the waitress at the restaurant where she ate. She talked to the girl behind the counter at the drug store, and she talked to the girl at the desk when she checked into the motel. They all had good things to say about the magic mirror. She picked up some names of girls claiming to have seen their true love with its help.
She decided to go by the museum and check out the magic mirror for herself. She had looked into the mirror in Sharpville, but she had not looked into this one. She decided to go by and look around without warning first. She wanted to see the magic mirror before they knew she was a reporter.
