LILA'S POV “I reject her as my bride!” Alpha Raze snapped. My entire body froze while I heard the words. How was it that Alpha Raze, a man rumoured to have murdered his own mate was rejecting me? Did I truly become so worthless? “She’s not up to my standards. Her body is too frail. She can’t raise strong pups for me. The wedding agreement is off!” Alpha Raze boomed again while his eyes ravaged my body. As angry as I was, I blushed under the influence of his gaze. He had the prettiest brown eyes and the fullest pink lips. A brown beard adorned his well sculpted face and his broad shoulders could carry the weight of the world. But he was a monster! My subconscious yelled at me, as if reminding me to stop drooling over the man that was treating me like trash. "Please, Alpha Raze, you have to marry her. Your reinforcements are the only thing we depend on if my pack is to win this stupid tussle with our enemies. Lila is frail, but she will become stronger," Father begged but Alpha Raze dismissed him with a wave of his hand. “I shall return to my pack right away. You have wasted my time,” Alpha Raze added while father froze on the spot. Then, as he turned to leave, I suddenly blurted out before I could control myself. “Who the f**k do you think you are?”I yelled. Alpha Raze stopped walking and turned to me, as if puzzled by what he heard. “I should be the one rejecting you, you bloody brute! I have heard stories about you. What woman would want you to bed her?” i yelled again. “Lila!” Father gasped in shock but I ignored him. “You don’t get to walk in here and behave like you own the place!” I added as my chest heaved up and down. That was oddly satisfying. Alpha Raze took powerful strides towards me and I jerked back in fear as his large frame approached. Sure, he may kill me on the spot but I would not be disrespected like that, not after everything that I have been through. Alpha Raze stopped, lifted my chin, and gazed into my eyes. I held his gaze in defiance. “You’re a feisty one. Perhaps I should take you in as my w***e,” he said to me and I scoffed. "I'd rather die than to be called your w***e!" I replied in defiance. "You have no mate. No wolf. No powers. Nothing. The moon goddess somehow managed to skip you. Becoming my w***e is an honor for someone like you," Alpha Raze replied with pride. But I scoffed. "And you're an arrogant man who murdered his own mate! Seems to me like you're not better off yourself!" I replied. Alpha Raze's eyes darkened on the spot. I had never really clarified if the rumours were true, but it hurting him was all I needed at that point. "Perhaps a slave then. You need to be taught a lesson!" His voice was fierce, and I struggled to avert my gaze as his eyes held me spellbound. What was he doing to me? Was he trying to get me to submit? “My father would never allow that!”I bragged in response. “Oh, really?” Alpha Raze asked with a smirk while I slowly turned my face to Father whose eyes were filled with both disgust and appreciation. “You can do whatever you want with her,” he replied and I gasped. “Father!” I screamed in fear but he looked away. I suppose it was good riddance. Not having a wolf or a mate was something that Father loathed. Everyone in the pack saw me as the abomination. It was precisely why Father was battering me to Alpha Raze in the first place. “That settles it then. You will get your reinforcements soon,” Alpha Raze said and picked me up like I weighed nothing. “No! Let me go!” I screamed as I fought and kicked. “Stop fighting, little one. It is of no use. You’re mine now,” My blood ran cold as I heard the words. What sort of hell awaited me in the hands of the ruthless alpha?
