Julien took a moment to check Leander’s appearance by the lights outside the theater, and was glad to see it was as pristine as it had been when he first climbed into the Blackstone coach. The ride to the theater had been passed in the most enjoyable manner, and even though they had limited themselves to kisses, Julien wanted to be sure there was nothing that might cause any extra gossip. Arriving together and sharing a box would merely be discussed by the most rampant busybodies, but arriving with clothing in the slightest disarray would set everyone talking.
