Vincent said nothing, only glancing at Galahad.
Galahad waved his hand and commanded, "Go!"
In an instant, thirty figures charged forward. Thirty Knights clashed with the hundred elite bodyguards.
Three minutes later, the thirty Knights returned, expressionless and efficient like cold killing machines. The ground was soaked in blood, with the elite guards lying lifeless.
Corey stared in shock at the scene. These men were the Joseph family's highly trained armed forces, yet they were all dead, their blood staining the ground.
This was a massive blow to the Joseph family. He glared at Vincent, his eyes bloodshot with rage, and yelled, "Vincent!"
Vincent shook his head and sneered, "Your men are too weak. They couldn't last even a few minutes."
Corey, furious and desperate, turned to Maxwell and said, "Maxwell, please, avenge the Joseph family!"
Maxwell's expression was serious. Though he didn't think highly of the Joseph family's elite guards, the fact that thirty men had taken down a hundred in three minutes was terrifying.
Maxwell stepped forward, his eyes locked on Vincent, and introduced himself, "I am Maxwell, from the Dark Shadow."
Vincent had no patience for him. There was nothing to say to a man about to die. He glanced at Galahad and said, "This one is yours."
Galahad nodded, accepting the task. "Yes, my lord." He stepped forward, eyeing Maxwell with a challenging look.
Maxwell was angered by Vincent's disregard. As an elite assassin of the Dark Shadow, no one had ever treated him so disrespectfully. He felt Vincent's gaze was as if he were looking at a corpse, which infuriated him. Maxwell roared, launching a powerful punch at Galahad. But in the next moment, Galahad caught the punch with one hand.
Maxwell's eyes widened in disbelief. He had never failed a mission, always killing with a single blow.
But now, his full-force punch was effortlessly caught by Galahad. He realized then that his opponent was far stronger.
Galahad twisted his wrist, tearing Maxwell's arm off.
But he didn't stop there. Moving too fast to see, he delivered a crushing blow to Maxwell's neck. Maxwell lost consciousness. He fell to his knees and his eyes wide open, with no sign of breathing. He never imagined he would be killed so easily.
Galahad crouched down, pressed two fingers to Maxwell's carotid artery, and shouted, "Kill confirmed!"
He then disdainfully addressed Maxwell's corpse, "And you thought you were worthy to know my lord’s identity?"
With that, he turned and walked away without another glance at Maxwell.
Corey was utterly petrified. He never imagined Maxwell would be killed so easily, nor did he expect that everyone he brought, except himself, would be annihilated. He stared at Vincent, wanting to speak, but found himself unable to utter a word.
Meanwhile, Vincent stood up and walked toward Corey. Corey, terrified, screamed, "Stay away!" To Corey, Vincent was more terrifying than a demon. He had thought that assassinating Vincent would be as simple as crushing an ant, but he never anticipated this outcome.
Vincent looked at Corey with a calm expression and said, "Corey, I told you, you came here to die."
Without hesitation, Corey knelt down to plead, "Vincent, please spare my life! Think of me as nothing more than a pest in the sewer, but please let me go!"
Vincent shook his head and said, "Since you admit you're a pest, there's no need for you to keep living and causing trouble."
With that, Vincent turned and walked away. One of the Knights, holding a sharp military knife, approached Corey.
Corey screamed in terror, "No..."
But the Knight's blade swiftly sliced through the air, and Corey's head fell to the ground.
Galahad ordered, "Clean up this trash!" Then he quickly followed Vincent.
Within minutes, all the bodies were removed from the road, and the bloodstains were thoroughly cleaned. If not for the empty SUVs parked by the roadside, no one would have known that a bloody m******e had occurred there.
Meanwhile, in Z City, at the Joseph family's new residence.
Sid frowned and asked with worry, "Dad, Corey has been gone for so long. Why haven't we heard anything about him?"
Armand replied calmly, "Don't worry. The highly paid assassin we hired won't fail."
"But..." Sid began, but Armand dismissed his concern, saying, "Maybe Corey has already killed Vincent and is having fun in M City."
Hearing this, Sid said no more. Perhaps he was just overthinking. With over a hundred elite guards from the Joseph family and the assassin Maxwell, Corey's mission in M City seemed certain to succeed. The delay in returning might just be due to celebrating their victory in a bar.
As Corey’s father, Armand had confidence in his son's abilities. Just then, the butler rushed in, carrying a box, and shouted, "Mr. Joseph, something terrible has happened!" Armand frowned and scolded, "What happened? Why are you so flustered?"
The butler, with a grief-stricken face, said, "Mr. Joseph, the young master is dead!"
Armand and Sid were stunned. Sid rushed forward, grabbing the butler by the collar, and roared, "Bullshit"
The butler, pale with fear, lifted the box in his hands and said, "I'm not lying. Inside this box is young master Corey's head!"
