M City, Cloudtop Villa.
“Dear, Hope is almost six. Don’t you think it’s time to find her a preschool?” Emma lay in bed, snuggled up to Vincent, as she asked.
Vincent smiled, “Leave that to me. I’ll get Hope into the best preschool in M City. How does that sound?”
Emma nodded, “Thank you, honey.” She felt her heart race and her cheeks burn, turning them a rosy red. Vincent gave off a sense of stability and reliability that she deeply cherished.
After a moment of silence, Emma asked, “Honey, do you know what next Friday is?”
Vincent scratched his head, looking puzzled. “What? Is it a holiday?”
Emma pouted, “No, it’s a very important day.”
Vincent asked, “So, what day is it?”
Emma felt a bit disappointed, but then she reminded herself of everything Vincent had done for her and Hope; he had genuinely lifted them out of their nightmarish past. She should be happy, she thought.
‘Is me getting upset over Vincent forgetting our anniversary uncalled for, am I asking for too much?’ That night, Emma tossed and turned, unable to sleep. She kept pondering this question until dawn.
The next day, Emma looked exhausted. She didn’t even notice when Vincent greeted her good morning.
Vincent felt a bit helpless. ‘If I’d known Emma would be this troubled, I would have just told her straight out last night.’
“Emma, are you feeling unwell? You look pale,” Una asked at breakfast, concerned.
“Mom, I’m fine,” Emma shook her head.
Franklin added, “Emma, if you’re not feeling well, you should take the day off.”
“The company needs me right now, especially with the new industrial park project. Don’t worry about me. I have to go to work.” With that, Emma stood up to leave.
Vincent quickly offered, “Dear, let me drive you.”
But Emma had already driven off.
After Emma left, Una looked at Vincent with a stern expression, “Vincent, did you do something to upset Emma?”
Vincent sipped his coffee and replied, “She just didn’t sleep well last night.”
“Hmph!” Una snorted, “You young people need to learn to do things in moderation!”
“Alright, don’t give Vincent a hard time. Just remind them to get some good sleep tonight,” Franklin said as he got up to leave for work.
Una warned, “Vincent, if Emma looks tired again tomorrow, I won’t let you off easily.” With that, she also left.
After Una had departed and taken her nagging with her, Vincent turned to Hope and asked, “Hope, are you full?”
Hope nodded, “Yes, Daddy, I’m full.”
“Good. Then how about Daddy takes you to check out a preschool?” Vincent asked with a smile.
Hope bounced with excitement, “Yes! Yes!”
Vincent picked up Hope and walked outside.
In the villa’s driveway, Galahad was already waiting in the car. Vincent and Hope got in, and soon the car sped away.
Last night, the preschool’s principal received a call from Stanley Field, informing her that an important person’s daughter would be visiting. The principal couldn't afford to slack off and had been anxiously waiting at the gate since early morning.
Soon, a Maybach pulled up, and Vincent stepped out while holding Hope.
Vincent smiled at Hope, “Let’s go. Daddy found a fun place for you. Let’s see if you like it.”
Upon seeing Vincent approach, the principal quickly walked over and respectfully asked, “Hello, are you Mr. Chesterton?”
Vincent nodded, “Yes, I am.”
“I’m the principal of this preschool. We’ve already done all the enrollment procedures for your daughter.”
Vincent nodded with satisfaction, “Great! From today, my daughter will be in your care.”
The principal breathed a sigh of relief; she was glad that Vincent seemed pleased.
After leaving the preschool, Vincent got back into the car. As he sat in the driver's seat, Galahad respectfully asked, “My Lord, where to now?”
Vincent thought for a moment and said, “Dream Land.”
“Yes, sir!” The Maybach sped away.

Dream Land was the most luxurious restaurant in M City. Every week, Dream Land only accepts one reservation. A meal there starts at a minimum of one hundred thousand dollars!
However, even with such a high price tag, Dream Land still had a difficult time accommodating all their interested guests. The waiting list for a reservation was already a month long.
Soon, a Maybach was parked outside Dream Land.
Galahad got out of the car and opened the door for Vincent.
"Hello, may I help you with anything?" A waitress approached with a smile.
Vincent calmly replied, "I'd like to reserve a table for next Friday."
The waitress apologized, "I'm sorry, but we're fully booked for next week. Please come back to make a reservation another time."
"Call your manager and tell him I'm here by Stanley Field's recommendation," Vincent said without hesitation.
The waitress was taken aback.
She, of course, knew who Stanley Field was. He was the wealthiest man in M City!
