Chapter 15A brisk breeze swept through the cave, bringing with it the distinct scent of fall. Pine trees and fresh gourds. Isabella’s favorite smell. Not to mention a welcome change from the choking heat. She stretched out, surprised at what she didn’t feel. Her body wasn’t aching. There was no chill creeping through her veins. She felt . . . normal. Well, the closest thing to normal she could reference. Maybe it had something to do with fresh air. Her gaze landed on her drawing from the night before.
