Jocelyn’s POV I’ve been at work for about 45 minutes when I see the most handsome man I’ve ever seen walking across the parking lot. He’s tall, at least 6’5” with dark hair that cuts short on the sides and longer on the top.As he draws near, I see that his eyes are warm Hazel. When he notices me staring through the window,I see the sexiest smirk pull up the right side of his full lips showing off a dimple. My heart stutters,no man should be allowed to be this attractive. When he reaches the building he pulls his hands out of his pocket and pulls the door open showing off large tan hands that look rough from hard work. His grin stays in place as he approaches the counter where I’m still standing left speechless. Giving myself a subtle shake back to reality, I greet him with a professional smile. “Good morning. I’m Jocelyn, how can I help you?” Some how he smiles even more, showing off a mouthful of white teeth, making his eyes crinkle at the outer edges. “Good morning miss,my name is Xander. I’ve just come from my morning walk when I stumbled upon a deer that looked to have been hit by a car just down around the bend.” Surprised that my day is starting off in such a way, I turn and grab a local map of the park so that Xander can mark exactly where he had seen the deer. “If you could just take a quick look and circle where you saw the deer on the map, I’ll grab my gear and head out to see if I can find it.” Xander pushes the map back across the counter in my direction and I give him a confused look. What is he doing? “I can do one better and show you.” Not sure what to do, having never met this man before,I nicely decline. “Thank you but that isn’t necessary. If you’ll just mark it on the map I’ll get my gear and head out on the gator. “ “It’s no problem at all, I’ll be heading back in that direction anyways since I’ve finished my walk and need to be heading to work soon. “ he replies. Deciding I’m wasting precious time I agree. Going into the back room I quickly grab the keys to the gator,my cell phone and backpack that I always keep packed with first aid supplies and tranquilizer darts. Coming back out to the counter I hesitate long enough to reach below it for the tranquilizer gun. Heading for the door, Xander walks ahead of me holding the door open. I nod my head for him to follow me around back where our old gator sits waiting for when we need to drive around the park. Once we’ve gotten settled I start it up and head down the drive towards our destination. I keep glancing towards Xander unable to help myself. There’s something about him that pulls me towards him. He must sense me looking at him because he glances in my direction with a smile of his own. Only this time I get the feeling like he knows something that I don’t and I’m more than happy to find out what that something is.
