First Date

736 Words
Xander's POV I had been on my fair share of dates in the past but I have never been so nervous as I was at the moment. Jocelyn and I had agreed on breakfast at 9:00 this morning. II was going to pick her up at her little cabin in the woods then we were going to the little diner in town. Everything I picked out to wear either seemed to casual or too formal so I settled on a pair of blue jeans that fit me well with a light blue and white flannel shirt with my nice work boots. I secured the top half of my hair with a hair tie, noting that I was going o be due for a trim soon. I decided I couldn't do anything more to improve my appearance and headed for the door grabbing my wallet and keys. Mates were automatically attracted to each other but it never hurt to put a little more effort into it. I walked up to my black truck and glanced inside making sure I didn't have to do a quick cleaning job. Once I open the driver door I realized how high up my truck was and hoped that wouldn't be an issue for Jocelyn. Most girls I had gone out with in the past liked how tall my truck was, they felt it was more manly, whatever that meant.I was quickly coming to the conclusion that Jocelyn wasn't like other girls so I truly didn't know what to expect from her. "Only one way to ind out" I breathed out I started up my truck with a loud rumble and headed out of the drive. I pulled up in front of Jocelyn's cabin and leaned forward to see it better, I was impressed. She had told me she had drawn up the blue print herself for it so I expected it to be impressive but actually seeing it was beyond impressive. I hoped out of the truck and jogged up her porch to knock on her door. It opened almost instantly and I found myself standing there staring at her breathless. She was stunning standing there with her hair loose and curling down her back without a drop of makeup on her face. She had gone with a semi casual look like myself, she had a pair of high waisted blue jeans on that fit her curves like a glove and an emerald green blouse with a matching jean jacket over the top. To finish the outfit off she paired it with a knee high black heeled boots. Looking back up to her face I took a deep breath and slowly released it with a smile and stated the obvious. "Your breath taking." Jocelyn looked away with a slight giggle and blushed to her roots. " This is my first date so I wasn't sure what was appropriate to wear." "Your kidding right?!" I blurted out before I could stop it,I could tell immediately that it was the wrong thing to say. I could see Jocelyn instantly get uncomfortable. "That came out wrong! I only meant that your a beautiful women. I can't imagine no guy has asked you out in the past." Jocelyn giggled again " I've never had an interest to date and was always too busy with work." "Well I'm glad you've decided to go out with me this morning.Shall we?" I asked while waving a hand at my truck and waited for her to close and lock her door before walking her towards the passenger side of my truck with my hand on her lower back. Once I opened the door she hesitated and looked back at me, I knew she was trying to figure out how to get up in my truck. As she turned back, I saw a slight shrug of her shoulders as she reached up to the handle above the door and hauled herself onto the seat and looked back at me with a triumphant smile. I couldn't help but smile back at her before closing the door and walking around the front of my truck with a grin plastered on my face. Hoping into the driver's seat I started up the truck and we headed off to town for our breakfast. So far this first date was off to a great start. I just hoped that it would continue being as good if not better.
