Chapter 29 : Repent.

Iron gate sect lord and others ran away. Andrew was gone long ago when he saw things weren't looking good. Spectators outside was also gone because bahamut's aura made them feel alarmed and afraid. The beautiful scenery of the roswell family mountain gate was no longer there instead it was a field full of blood and scattered organs. Ray came up to Elea's mothers body and scanned her.
Her mortal soul was damaged. Healing the soul was an arduous task but for Ray it was a matter of just waving one hand. He put her body in to the same place where he kept Elea. Ray doesn't plan on saving her father because everyone has their own fate.
" I shall clean up those remnant insects. " Ray murmured as he gazed into the distance. His eyes instantly locked on to iron gate
sect lord and those three elders beside him. They became terrified and couldn't move. Cold sweat poured down from their head.
" Sec....sect lord what should we do now? " Grand elder asked in a panic.
" How would i know!! Go fuc***king ask your mother. " Sect lord shouted, seemingly disdaining his cowardly appearance but he couldn't blame them.
The two female elder beside them almost felt their scalp go numb out of fear. They can't run and can't move, just stood there in place like a statute.
" Didn't i say all of you not to move.Then why are you here?" A flat voice sounded behind them. In the ears of iron gate sect lord and others it was the voice of death god who came to harvest their lives.
They wanted to beg for mercy and cry but before they could do or say anything their vision went black.
Ray took a step forward and disappeared in the void.
Flame Heart Empire
The imperial palace of flame heart empire was in a panic. Thousands of their soldiers died. They almost lost more than half of their fighting power. But most importantly their ancestor a true emperor died in battle which was an unimaginable loss for for their empire.
Threat of an emperor loomed over their head and they don't have any chance to resist. They discussed about this matter with heat.
Andrew paced back and forth in a panic. A young man in golden robe stood behind him.
" Imperial father if we compensate him maybe he will let us go. There's no grievances that can't be solved with benefits. " The young man said. He is the prince and the same person who was said to be in love with elea.
" No no.... son you don't understand. I saw his eyes. Those eyes aren't of someone who will be swayed by benefits. More importantly he is an emperor from central state. What kind of treasure he haven't seen. We don't have anything that we could offer.This time we kicked a hard rock. " Andrew said all of this in one breath.
The golden robe young man didn't say anything.
Suddenly a ' boooom ' sound shook the entire capital of flame heart. Citizens looked in the distance and saw the high and mighty palace is now turned into rubbles. Their main palace was razed to the ground entirely.
" Someone attacked the palace? Who is it? A King? " Civilians discussed spiritedly.
" I don't know. I heard that empire was on war in roswell family but suddenly they returned with only a few thousand soldiers. "
A well known guy said.
" Maybe they lost. "
" Impossible. Humph... our empire will never lose. " Another one snorted.
In the distance, sky above the imperial palace Ray stood there silently. Despite not giving any aura or pressure his presence alone gave a sense of oppression to the empire.
The emperor rose to the sky alone and faced ray. He directly bowed down and cried.
" We were foolish and ignorant, offended your majesty. We deserve punishment but i beg of you not to kill those who are innocent. "
" Who is innocent and who is the sinner its not up to you to judge nor its up to me. If I'm in a good mood I'll only kill those who i dimmed worthy of death. " Ray said emotionlessly.
Andrew was silent. He knows that once a being of Rays level made up their mind, no persuasion can sway them.
Andrew closed his eyes and waited for his death. Even though he is unwilling to die he can't do anything. He have to bear the sin and repent.
People who were outside the capital dumbly looked at the huge bottomless pit infront of them. It was the place where the capital of flame heart was but now it was just a bottomless dark pit. The huge capital which stood strong for thousands of years now was gone with all its inhabitants. People outside shivered in fear and terror. What kind of enemy their emperor had offended? No one survived not even children.
Ray already showed mercy by not destroying their flame heart empire as a whole. It was kind enough for him already. Now his next target was Iron gate sect.
