Finding the Missing Gemini Twin

Summer's Help

Summer, Damian, Rhage and I used to always hang out together before I had to leave with my father. Summer, Damian, Rhage and I used to always hang out before I left to live with my father. Summer had beautiful golden blonde hair and Hazel grey eyes. Summer was part of the witch coven that lived here in the town of Blackwater. She always had a thing for Damian befor I had left so I have no idea if they ever become more that just child hood friends. After reaching Summer's house we knocked on the front door. Summer answered and as soon as the door was opened wide enough she launched her self at me wrapping her arms around my body. Her body trembled as she cried on my shoulder literally. I held her close while rubbing her back and waited patentiently for her to calm down. After 5 mins she was able to compose herself and lead us inside her home. "I'm so sorry Maze, I don't know what happened and I have no idea where Damian and the other have gone" Summer started to rattle on. "Wait a minute" I held up my hand for her to stop, "other? What do you mean others?". Summer looked at my strangly and looked over at Rhage "you didn't tell her yet? Ugh whatever we can both tell her than." Summer crossed her arms and glared at Rhage who seemed unphased buy her death stare. They both turned to me and Summer began to fill me in in what I have missed within our town. Apperently not only has Damian disappeared, but some of the teens with in the witches coven, the wolf pack, and within the clan of faries that live here in Blackwater have gone missing as well. Interesting, very interesting "what about the other shapeshifters?" I asked wondering if whatever is going on is targeting certain species. "Them too" Rhage joined in not taking his eyes off me. "So every species of the supernatural in this town has a selected few that have gone missing? I wonder if they are where Damian is.." I think out loud while tapping on the table where we are all seated at in her dinning room. "Wait what? You know where Damian is??? Why haven't you gotten him back yet then?" Summer almost demands me. Rhage growls at her and she seems startled for a moment before returning her gaze to me expecting me to explain. "Well," I shift in my seat at the table "he is in the Unseen". Summer's jaw drops and her eyes dart between Rhage and I and Rhage just nods his head to confirm what I just said. "No, how? No one knows anything about that place how do you know?" Summer starts to ask us to no one in particular. Rhage starts this time "she has been there and she sensed his presense there". Summer's whole body tenses and she slowly turns her head to face me and whispers "how is this possible you came back and Damian hasn't then?". The look on Summer's face looks as broke as I feel but refuse to show anyone. "I some how astral projected in there while I slept last night, ever been to Harry's Bed & Breakfast?" I looked to Summer waiting for her reply. She seemed hesitant before answering, choosing her words carefully "we don't get good vibes from that place, after 2 more teens went missing from the final supernatural group here in town, all of us supernaturals try to avoid that place. Only humans go there now and the occasional adults within our supernatural groups. Which are trying to figure out what connection this diner seems to have with all of the missing supernatural teens. The adults and younger kids seem to be the only ones not being targeted. Whatever is going on at Harry's Bed & Breakfast is surrounded by dark energy." I nodded my head while listening to her every word intently, "How many?" I looked to the ground while asking my question. When I heard no response I looked up at both Summer and Rhage, but with Summer looking like the only one who didn't get my question. "She's asking how many are missing. The answer, including your brother, makes the number at 13 missing supernatural teens" Rhage answered my question while answering Summer's silent one at the same time. I took a deep breath in and exhaled rather slowly as I stood up from the chair, the other two followed my actions in standing up as well. "What's the plan, Maze?" Rhage looked at me and Summer nodded in agreement, both willing to help me in any way that they could. I nodded in response, my friends are awesome,"Well first things first, anyone hungry?" I looked at both Rhage and Summer and they both nodded their heads understanding exactly what the next step in my plan is. "Harry's Bed & Breakfast it is then, let's go!" Rhage said as he beat us to the front door.

Harry's Bed & Breakfast looked exactly like it did within the Unseen, except that the sign was completely lit with no letters out at all. Harry's Bed & Breakfast was stretched across the front in bright red letters and had 2 large window panels on either side of the double door entrance. After Rhage parked his car we all got out and started to walk towards the entrance. A cold chill shivered down my spine, wow there is definitely a lot of darkness that surrounds this place. "Here" Summer holds out her hands to Rhage and I "take these, it's smoky quartz. It will help purify and cleanse the negative energy that surrounds you so you won't be affected by it. Unlike a worry stone if it cracks or breaks it will still continue to work." Rhage and I took the stones and said our thanks. After slipping it into my pocket I felt tingles and sparks dance across my fingers all the way up to my hand, Rhage was holding my hand. Awe how strange, this connection is so strong it almost feels like the bond I have with Damian. They aren't the same though and I know this, I just can't tell which bond is stronger. Rhage and I walked up to the front door with Summer close behind. Rhage being the gentleman that he is made sure he was first to the door to open it for us. Once I reached the threshold of the entrance I froze. Something is watching me and it's in the dark forest. It's presence lurks within the shadows just behind the treeline. Rhage stiffens and looks into the forest where the sense of dread I feel is coming from. I am still frozen in place but I somehow am able to speak, it only comes out as a whisper. "There is someTHING out there" I emphasizes on the 'thing' part for I can sense that whatever is out there is for sure no where close to human. Rhage's grip on my hand tightens and he whispers loud enough for me to hear "I smell blood". Rhage pulls me inside the diner and snatches Summer inside as well. "What do you think was out there?" Summer asked the minute we sat down in a booth. "That my dear is the million dollar question," Rhage answers while grabbing the menu. I raised an eyebrow to him "You sure that's a good idea?" Rhage smiles at me "Oh baby just because some of us go missing doesn't mean the food is bad" and he winks at me right before he opens the menu. I roll my eyes and look at Summer who is smiling mischievously at me. "So when did this happen?" She waves her hand motioning back and forth between Rhage and I. A low growl erupts from Rhage and he slides closer to me in the booth. I giggle at his actions, such a wolf, "Well apparently we are mates Summer" and I shake my head as Rhage obnoxiously gives me puppy dog eyes. Summer gasped and grabbed her chest as if faking a heart attack. "Wait a minute, I thought the Gemini Twins don't get mates due to their sibling bond?" Summer said her interests now peaked by something that is supposedly unheard of. "They aren't supposed to, but maybe because I'm Damian's Guardian the moon goddess made an exception!" Rhage wiggled his eyebrows at us at that last part. "Of course she did, sweetie" Summer said and then looked over at me and we both started laughing. "Hey what's so funny?" Rhage asked looking from me to Summer then back to me. "Being able to see you both from the outside, I know BOTH OF YOU have had a thing for one another since you guys were kids. It was bound for Rhage to either had a closed mate as in you," Summer motioned to me "or you were going to actually be his mate. You two are literally made for each other, Gemini twin or not Maze, you are mates with the boy who stole your heart all those years ago." This time I actually blushed and looked down at my hands while Rhage was still holding one and then I looked up at Rhage. His eyes will always captivate me, but the love and adoration I saw in them will forever be engraved into my heart. Wow, this is what the mate bond feels like? I like it, and a slow smile stretched across my face as I gazed into Rhages beautiful ocean blue eyes. We heard someone clear their throat and we both broke eye contact and looked over at Summer who had the most obnoxious smile ever. "What?" I said as she just shook her head and looked down at her meni like nothing had happened. Just as I was about to open my mouth our waitress came to our booth to take our orders. She had pin straight black hair that was short in the back and long in the front, with eyes so blue they almost looked purple. She wore a white v-neck t-shirt and blue skinny jeans with a red apron that matched the restaurant's color scheme. "Hello, my name is Amy and I'll be your server today. Have we figured out what we want or do you need a few more minutes?" The waitress asked while making sure to look at all of us with a smile on her face. Rhage gave a polite smile and stated that we are ready and to start with us ladies first. What a gentleman, these stupid little things he does is why I had a crush on him way before I know we were mates in the first place. Summer ordered a strawberry shake with fries, I got an oreo shake with cheese fries, and Rhage being a werewolf got the most between the three of us. Rhage ordered a double cheese burger with bacon, boneless Buffalo wings, a large cheese fry, with a sprite. Summer and I both shook our heads after our waitress Amy left, "What? I have a fast metabolism" Rhage tried to defend himself. Summer said it before I was able to "No that's not it, how are you going to get 'boneless' chicken wings? You literally just order buffalo chicken nuggets!" I was laughing at this point and Rhage just smiled at me and looked back at Summer before answering "Well if I can get Maze to laugh like this all all the time then you bet your a** I will order buffalo chicken nuggets all the time!" Summer and I both were laughing now. Rhage just laughed along with us while staring lovingly at me. "Awe you guys are too cute" Summer gushed, but Rhage immediately interjected "I'm not cute, I'm hot!" And Summer and I just laughed even more. Rhage just smiled at both of us, enjoying the moment of making us laugh until tears came out.

Amy our waitress came back to our table with our drinks on a tray, as she reached over the table to place the shake in front of me our hands briefly touched. I was hit with a vision at the sudden contact, I was not prepared for what I was about to see. Blood, the whole diner was littered in bodies torn to shreds by a creature that looks to have four claws about 6 inches in length by the looks of the bodies. I didn't see the creature but I knew that it did this. I look to my left and Rhage is no longer next to me and Summer is no longer in front of me. Strange, what kind of vision is this? I slid out of the booth but there was another body I missed when I initially scanned Harry's Bed & Breakfast. Her body was sprawled out on the floor Ina pool of blood next to the booth I was in, her blueish purple eyes looked up to me as if she was still alive. It was Amy, she had four 6 inch gash wounds across her chest and throat and she was coughing up blood. She was still alive. I got down on the floor next to Amy and applied pressure to her neck to try and help lessen her pain. "Amy what happened?" I asked within the vision. She looks at me and then turns her head to look in the direction of the forest out the window. Her voice was raspy as she tried to speak, "He is coming for you, that's why he took him". She started to choke her own blood, I was about to ask one more question before her eyes grew wide. I felt the presence of another creature without looking away from Amy. She was able to mutter out one more word before I was ripped from the vision, "run".

I blinked a few times before registering, I was out of the vision. Amy was pulling her hand back after giving me my shake. This vision was long yet no time seemed to pass while I saw it. "Your food will be done soon" Amy straightened up before turning and walking back to the kitchen. But just before she entered she turned her head and made direct eye contact with me, she knew what just happened. Rhage felt my unease and looked at me with concern, "What is it Maze, what happened?" Summer is now looking at me with concern. "I had a vision when Amy brushed her hand against mine" I whispered so other tables wouldn't hear us. This may be a bad time for the supernaturals but this diner was sure full of humans and supernaturals, the waitress Amy being one of them. Summer's gaze became grave, "Tell us everything."
