It doesn't have a name but it exists.
It can't be named because it can't be
defined.
Nina
The white brick wall is shot by a hummer followed by a sledgehammer. Then it repeated with rhythmical order. Till the gold shines out making the workers create a huge hole.
I looked at the non-publically distitle Alpha, his Tande and Amma standing with stoic expression.
This isn't like my vision... I changed it.
The beating in my heart and guts welcomed themselves to my head again as I entered the mansion. And now it's sending a pining pain to the back of my neck.
I massage the back of my neck as I look at the bars of gold taken out of its hiding spot.
This could stop if they confess to embezzlement the money.
The pining pain went down to my back making my legs feel jelly. It's not visible.
I shouldn't let it be visible.
" Rishab, I'm leaving. Give me the report on today's process," I muttered and walked away as he answered behind me.
" Okay, Ma'am,"
Hearing footsteps following me, I turned to look at the non-publically distitle Alpha and stayed quiet.
" We don't know how come there is so much money and gold hidden here," He said looking directly at my feet.
" Look at my eyes and talk... For now," I muttered crossing my arms.
He looked into my eyes and continued to speak,
" Tande and I built this mansion six months ago... It took three months which is impossible to hide this much money and gold within the house," He paused. He took a deep breath and puffed up his chest as he spoke again,
" You knew the gold was there yet you stayed quiet,"
" Are you accusing me like your sister did?" I gritted my teeth as the beating on my heart, guts and head raised.
" No... Why were you silent? You understand there is more... Way more than it looks like," He quickly defended himself and looked downwards.
I walked to him till our shoes touched each other. I lean to whisper in his ears,
" I know there is more to the story than it looks like. But you all are hiding it from me," He whispered back leaning to my ear.
" Why were you quiet, Miss. Nina?" He looks at my eyes.
" The first time, I was taken aback by your eye colour. I didn't mean to disrespect you in any way," He confessed easing the beating in my heart.
" I don't know much about you or your family or this pack. So I gave the benefits of the doubt by staying quiet," I confessed looking at his typical Indian eyes showing a similar emotion I'm well aware of.
I walked away ignoring the peeking looks from others.
" Why you were close to him?" Eve barked.
" For rumours," I thought back as I stepped out of the mansion.
" Miss. Nina," He called me from behind.
" Sorry... I know it's a bad omen to call from behind... But I want to make you understand my family, me... And my pack," He said looking at my feet in the end.
" Okay... Take me where you can explain me," I crossed my arms smirking and he smiled widely.
Then he gestured arms out letting me walk first. But he is the one taking me so I copy his gesture.
We walked side by side while my guards followed us. The non-publically distitle takes me to a gate with a sign written ' The village'.
" The best way to explain about my pack is to show you, Miss Nina," He said as the gate opened.
" My pack focus on agriculture since food is essential to them," He explained as I looked at five trucks full of vegetables.
" What about the secondary and tertiary sector?" I question looking at the traditional sarees worn by children playing around.
Why children are wearing sarees in this generation?
" They don't want to take part in that," He answered and I looked at his face for one, two and three as I asked,
" Shouldn't you just offer them jobs in the secondary industry at least?"
" Tande did that but when people don't want change then as a leader I can't do much," I scoffed at his words.
" Of course, you can," I responded.
" It's easier to say than done... And to be honest you aren't a leader," He tried to provoke me making the beating in my head increase things started to look blurry.
" I can feel you are not feeling well. Let's go back to the mansion and one of the best doctors of my pack can examine you, Miss Nina," He sounded concerned and scared.
" He is more scared than concerned," Eve barked and I let her help me chase the beating away.
" No need, I'm leaving," I muttered and started to walk back to the mansion.
I don't like the looks on the pack members when they look at me.
Why are they having a kind of smile that is... Secretive. Likes Kiara from yesterday.
I walked towards the gate, a child waved with a huge smile. I smiled back and the child's smile faded away looking behind me.
The non-publically Alpha and my guards are behind me.
Instead of sitting, I leaned down on the back seat and before I could say something. Rishab instructed the driver to open the moonroof window as he came to check on me.
But why did he come to check on me?
The driver started the engine while I looked at the cloudy sky. With the beating no more, I feel sleepy.
I should never compromise on my sleep ever again. I become a whole different person.
" My grumpy granny," Papa joked.
" She got that from you, Mohan," Amma points out and they laugh making me smile.
