Episode 3

Lyra's POV

What do you call something for which you don't have a word in your vocabulary to describe? That is what I'm seeing right now, sitting in the cab which is going over the hills displaying a clear view of the town. After flying all Saturday long we are finally here!

The place is heaven! It's surrounded from all four directions by the second closest thing to my heart - Nature. The first closest thing to my heart is the night sky which is yet to see. The greenery here is blinding, it's all covered in woods with small clearings here and there.

To top it all the sky is covered in pink and purple... I wonder if anything can be more beautiful? After having the most lovely two hours' drive of my life we reached the hotel we were supposed to stay in. And oh my! The hotel was even more beautiful than outside.

It was a complete wooden design and looked so captivating and classy. There was some old fashioned furniture, also made of wood. The hall was round in shape covered with golden lighting enhancing the wooden texture perfectly. The dinner was even more perfect and we were ready for a nice sleep. Well, at least Ryan was.

As soon as we stepped in our room which was also unbelievably beautiful Ryan dropped himself on his bed and fell asleep after a few minutes. Lazy ass! Jet lag might be the reason. I smiled and shook my head at his laziness. Removing his shoes, socks and jacket, I covered him in sheets and made my way to the balcony.

Oh heavens! I take back every word I said in praise of the town's beauty because there was literally nothing in front of what my eyes were witnessing right now. The night sky! It's so extremely "I don't have the word" that I can't seem to take my eyes off it. I don't even know how to blink my eyes when I'm in such a trance.

After what seemed like hours I was finally able to take my eyes off. I went inside to the living room where I had seen a wooden bookshelf and grabbing a werewolf romance I strolled back towards the balcony. I made myself comfortable before starting to read the book. Now I'm ready to pass the night.

Why am I not sleeping? Well I've a rare kind of insomnia. It's a situation where people find it hard to sleep. In my case, I don't really fall asleep. I haven't slept even once since me and my mom left "he who is supposedly my genetic father". To me he's more of a sperm donor than a father. And also the reason behind my insomnia... Don't think about it now!

So yeah! I haven't slept since the past ten years and doctors are all going insane at the fact that I'm still alive. Even I don't know. I stay awake all night doing something or the other and yet I don't feel sleepy, instead I feel more energized every morning.

After a few hours my butt gave up so I changed my position and laid my back on the balcony railing and stared at the sky until a low howl reached my ears. A wolf? A wolf!

Suddenly tingles crept up my back. I looked towards my left which was all covered in woods. I felt as if someone's watching me, though it didn't give me the creeps. It made me feel nice... I decided to go into the woods and check it out.

Yup that's a bad decision but what can I say? Curiosity kills the cat. And it wasn't just curiosity, it was like my feet were moving on their own accord and I was a magnet being pulled towards whatever it was.

The guards stopped me at the doors saying, "Going out in the dark is prohibited. Wolves roam in the woods at this time." I protested but they ushered me inside. Now that they have told me not to go out I have to go out.

Plus I could find my werewolf out there. I giggled at my thought and went to the back doors and saw a guard there too. I took a stone and threw it in the other direction. The guard went to check and I slipped out. Easy!

Will's POV

We returned late from the uni and when we reached my house, my dad smiled at the two of us. He thinks we were gone for a date? Whatever makes him happy. We had dinner together when my dad mentioned about my mate again.

"Listen son, I know it's very important for us to have our mate with us, but not everyone is lucky enough to find their true mate. I've already given you so much time, four years isn't that enough? If you could meet her you must have found her by now, but nothing happened right? It's time for you to take my place and I can't give you any more time." he said in his usual stern voice.

"You gave me two months, remember? Let's wait till then. If my mate doesn't show up I will leave the pack and you can hand over your title to Adam." I stated and before he could say anything I stood up. "Let's go Laura, it's getting late." she nodded and bid a quick bye to dad as I dragged her out.

Later I dropped Laura at her place. I was still thinking about my pack and my mate. Will I be able to leave my pack, the place where I've grown? I had always dreamt of leading the pack, but I can't give up on my mate. I have to find her... if I don't meet her before two months I will join the southwest pack and continue searching for her until one day I finally meet her.

My decision was final, there's no way I will mate with Laura or Troey. Plus I have a brother who can lead the pack, though my pack would be stronger under me being the true Alpha, but I'm left with no other choice.

I decided to go for a run to release all the stress when the most delicious smell reached my nose. Ocean Breeze and lavenders. My senses heightened and I felt surrounded by a presence, one that I was craving for since these past four years. My wolf howled in excitement and I instantly knew who it was... My mate!!

I ran towards the source of the smell and found out she was staying in the hotel. Is she here for the annual camp? Whatever the reason was, right now I needed to see her.

I could make out her figure lying on the balcony but she was facing her back to me. She turned for a while as if she noticed my presence, then stood up and left. I wanted to see her! My wolf whined.

"Laura!!" I mind linked her.

"What is it Blake? Aren't you sleeping?" She mind linked back.

"You won't believe it! I went for a run in the woods and sensed my mate!! She's staying in a hotel outside town."

"Are you kidding me?! No, I can sense your excitement till here you can't be kidding. Oh my god, finally! I'm so happy for you Will!"

That's why I like her so much, she's squealing like she found her own mate. I sat there for a while, my mate's smell still faintly lingering in the air until it became stronger and stronger.

"Wait, she's coming here!" I mind linked Laura as my wolf howled in excitement again.

"Oh my god! Just do everything already!! She might have come to find you." She replied excitedly.

It was then I noticed she isn't a werewolf... "She's a human! And yet she found me..."

"This is crazy! I think the moon goddess granted your wish. Now go get your girl!!"

I thanked the Moon goddess from my heart and slowly headed towards my mate making sure not to scare her. There she stood in a white T shirt and light pink shorts and yet looked so extremely gorgeous. I've waited for you for so long mate. I always thought about how she would look, but seeing her standing right in front of me she looks far more beautiful than how I imagined her to be.

It's true... A mate bond is really strong to bring my mate here without even her knowledge. Fate exists! If she isn't ready within these two months, which I doubt she will be, I won't force her. I will leave the pack and we can later mate when she's ready. I just hope she accepts me for what I am and gives me a chance to prove my love to her.

She's so extremely gorgeous that I can't seem to take my eyes off her. I couldn't have got anyone more beautiful. She's perfect!... And she is mine!
