Chapter 32: Descendant of a god

"Finally..." I can't believe it but somehow I manage to get the both of us in the orphanage.

"Sister Maria... can I come in... please..?" I pleaded at my pathetic sight, I sighted of my weakness I thought I can properly tale care of things but turns out mana isn't really as strong as QI and with my miniscule cultivation and my body which I didn't trained made me suffer my arm and now my stamina is depleted.

"I-I think I may pass out-"

*Thud*

Thud Nyx pass out and hit his hit at the door and felt it before he lose his consciousness.

"Wait a moment Nyx, I'm coming sorry for taking a long time to open the door for you... I was just checking on Ayesha now and it seemed she is already awake-"

"Kyahhhh..!" This... what happened, why is Nyx here passed out... outside the door.

"A-are you okay..?" Wait a minute, this kid has a Beast man in his back. Did he carry her all the way here.

"*Mmph!* urgh... why is this guy and this small Beast girl weight so much..?" So heavy, urgh..!

Sister Maria tried her best to drag Nyx with the Beast man in his, sister Maria looked so adorable while dragging Nyx and the Beast man and tried her very best to take the two to a room inside the orphanage.

"Phew... finally managed... to bring the two... of them inside *pant*" Goodness this two weight quite a lot, and maybe because Nyx had ab armor on him?

"Wait a minute... an armor, and the two of them seems unconscious and the beast man seems to have chains on her..?" Did Nyx kidnap this poor child??! no that's not it if he did then why would he come to me instead, I should wait till they're awake or at least till Nyx is awake.

An hour later Nyx has gained consciousness and heard people murmuring.

"Ughh... where am I..?" When I gained consciousness I heard people talking and thought where am I, and a second later I remember I did do my dumb plan and almost got myself in trouble dealing with the Baron.

"Nyx are you alright..?" I heard a familiar voice and saw Lisa's worried face together with Paul and little children.

"How did you even got here ahead of us..?" I heard Paul's question and it made sense so I couldn't reply it due to what I did and brought back a Demi human that is plain k********g, so I just made an awkward smile and scratched my head till finally sister Maria came in.

"It's a relief now that your awake Nyx..." I saw sister Maria's troubled and concerned face and can't help but sigh and I felt they're genuine feelings towards me.

"I uh... well..." So I couldn't help but tell them the truth.

"Well what is it? aren't you going to tell us..?" I looked at sister Maria and her serious look and hee troubled face, and once again I sighted and this time I wanna let them know at the very least it seems I can trust them.

"I-I fought against a demon..." I told them that I fought a demon and just thought it may make them laugh and stop questioning me, and I also told them the truth. I put my head down and just look at them and expected them to laugh at me.

"A-a demon??!" When I heard Paul scream the kids then started to shake and tremble some of them even cried.

"Nyx, that isn't such a good joke..." I saw sister Maria's serious face and thought my plan backfired to me instead, sister Maria sighted and took the crying children away to the other room.

"N-Nyx... what you said isn't really a good joke..." I heard Lisa said the same thing and looked sad and angry for sone reason and I just laughed awkwardly.

"Well that's that, we should really not talk about demons infront of the little kids..." Paul somewhat tried to help me but still I felt embarrassed that it became like this.

*thud*

I looked at the front and saw sister Maria came back and locked the door and thought something was amiss.

"Nyx, what you said earlier... was it true..?" This time I saw sister Maria in a different light this time, sister Maria had a smile on her face as if she was excited.

"Hey sister Maria, I thought you wanted to scold Nyx..." I heard Paul's remarks and thought, that's what exactly I thought.

"S-sister Maria, is Nyx saying the truth..?!" I heard Lisa saying this and saw her face full of surprise, I sighted and thought why do these two believe anything I say.

"W-well... there was a legend once in this village, no it was a legend of the whole continent of Eden..." I heard sister Maria say this stuff and couldn't help but be intrigued and judging by her facial expression she is saying the truth.

"What legend sister Maria..?" Paul was also curious and I also nodded and wanted to know more.

"Yeah, sister Maria tell us what this legend is!" The three of us Lisa, Paul and me was quite curious at this legend and it might have something to do with my reincarnation.

"Well, I'm not quite sure this legend was passed down in every generation in this village and since hundred of years ago it became just a heresay."

"Just tell us sister Maria..!" Paul was quite aggressive and Lisa and I just nodded in agreement and let Paul do the nagging.

"Well... tens of thousands of years ago before the era of human began there were still gods living together with mortals, but that change when a stronger god came and rise from the deepest parts of the abyss and from there the demons who were once oppressed by the power of the gods came rising by the new power of the new god that came, that god started a divine war with the other gods but that was before another mortal who had the power to conquer demons and defy the gods came to be he was the pillar of hope the humans once had, he brought countless mortals who lost their family, their love ones, children, and lovers. He started to use his power to make a race that was close to immortal he made the fallen rose from the dead, and their power was beyond that of a mortal, and they came to be known as the undead army. But unlike your normal zombies and death knight it was a level higher than the S rank Death knight they were stronger than them and their body wasn't anywhere the same as zombies but they were full complete human and after hundreds of years fighting the unknown god who rose from the abyss started retreating from the battle he gathered his army because no matter what they do the mortals were unkillable, the more they kill the more undead rose from their grave and once again started to battle the army of demons and the unknown god. All the gods sided with that mortal because no matter what they do the demons had gained divine power and had equal strength within them and all the primordial gods were oppressed by the unknown god and can't win no matter what they do. So they came unto understanding the undead army had generals that commanded them, and from the hundreds of generals twelve of the most strongest got the divine blessings of the twelve gods, Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Ares, Apollo, Hermes, Athena, Artemis, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Demeter, Hestia. And each of the twelve generals gain the divine powers of god and got further strength-"

"Wait a minute... but what does this story tell us about me fighting the demon..?" I couldn't help but think this was just some old story book for a child, but still if it was pass down from generation to generation then there is a chance that Zeus and the rest of the gods are real! if even they knew their names and the names from back in earth is still the same! and in the ten thousand immortal worlds they also said the thunder god and fire god and so on suddenly vanished along with the changed of humans, when the humans finally knew how to get their so called immortality and divine power

But unlike them gods were born naturally and already had divine powers and is immortal.

"Ahem, just listen Nyx and we'll get to the point were the demon and you are involved..." I look at sister Maria she coughed with her arms covering her mouth and still had her serious look, while Lisa and Paul were amazed by the story but still I can't help but feel this is somewhat childish a mortal that can stand together with gods.

"Let's see... ah, the twelve generals became the vessels of the twelve gods, but still with the new power they can't push back the army of demons and the unknown god, then the gods can't keep with this anymore so they came into an agreement and gathered all the gods and created a sanctum called Olympus, the god of fire imparted his power and made a fireplace were they can use as the source of power for the Olympus as the demons had their Demon King castle and made huge fortresses the gods made a sanctum that can rival their number of fortresses the flying fortress Olympus was created using every single gods power, Hephaestus as the god of fire and knowledge in masonry and building he was the one incharge of designing and creating the base and the castle of Olympus, Ares as the god of war had a strength far beyond Zeus their leader but his strength only involved physical strength, so he was tasked together with Hermes the god of thieves has the power of speed and flight beyond the speed of thunder was tasked with Ares to gather mountains and mountains of iron and soon began their journey to gather materials from different worlds and different parts of the globe and gathered resources and rare ores while Ares was the cart that carried all the resources soon the both of them gathered enough resources in just a couple of four months soon the good of fire Hephaestus and Athena was also a god of war but her strength was below that of Ares but she had other abilities such as crafting and invention, both them Athena and Hephaestus created a stone that was mixed with iron and rare ores Area and Hermes gathered, soon they made a stone that was beyond the realm of mortal and it soon became the foundation base of Olympus, with done the they called the God stone marble, with power of Apollo he departed apart of his power in creating the God stone marble ans from the grey colored stone became a shiny white-gold stone and thus they named it God stone marble. With the god of light's power the Olympus itself became a bane of the demons just from looking at it would the demons tremble in fear and if one dares to intrude, then the power of light would dissolve any demon except the Demon king himself. With the help of each gods it only took them one month to fully finish the Olympus and Hestia didn't have any special power but her pure divine power can maintain any other divine power and soon she became the hearth of Olympus as she was tasked in supplying enough energy of the Hearth Fire the fire god Hephaestus also imparted his divine power and created the Hearth Fire of Olympus but it wasn't infinite and Hestia had the power to rule over the power of the other gods, but that is if the other gods were weaker or agreed with her in order to copy and use their power. Soon the mortal who can conquer demons and defy the power of gods was also a part of them, as the gods acknowledge his power and leadership to fight against the Demons, soon he finally got his tittle as one of the gods the blood sovereign."

"Ahh!"

"Sister Maria!"

"W-what happened..?"

"S-sister Ayesha... owwooo"

*sob*

"Why..? what happened is Ayesha alright..? Kun tell me what happened"

"S-she... she became a Beast man owooo..." I heard Kun running and was crying behind the door because no matter what he did it did not open because sister Maria closed it earlier.

"Sorry Nyx, well continue later... we should see what happened to Ayesha, you should come too since you are the one who is knowledgeable about what her state is in" I nodded in agreement and was also concerned if something happened to Ayesha, as Paul and Lisa were also uneasy and wanted to come so I let them tag along with us and got the kids to get to another room.

"Sister Maria, what happened to Ayesha..?" I looked at Paul and saw how calm he was and thought, this guy had a very good control with his emotions except when he meets another type of guy.

"Yeah... I-I also want to know..." While Lisa like always was very emotional and at any moment she could cry.

"I don't know yet, let's go in and have a look..." I can see the uneasiness from sister Maria's face and hee walking speed with her face full of sweat, it was obvious she really care with this children's well being.

*creak*

Soon Nyx, Lisa, and Paul got in the room together with sister Maria and Kun who was crying was holding hands with Lisa.

The three of them was greeted by a strong elemental energy sister Maria who were in front of them was hit a a lightning fast energy that swept by but wasn't injured seriously as she manage to use her hand to cover her head but her hand got bad injured.

"Get back sister Maria! you two, Paul, Lisa pull back sister Maria!" I didn't noticed any chaotic energy was in the room till we have gone inside the room I didn't even readied my mana nor my divine sense so I was too late when blocking the energy that sister Maria were hit but that was it till I use my mana.

Nyx then used his wind element and used a barrier technique that uses wind element, "Northern heavenly vortex shield!"

*Fwoom*

With a gush of the wind a grand vortex suddenly appeared in the palm of Nyx and solidified in a matter of seconds with it's center swirling the chaotic elemental energy soon was sucked inside the vortex and wind barrier glow brighter and the chaotic energy couldn't do anything to them anymore, but the problem was the chaotic energy wass still present.

"Sister Maria are you okay..?"

"Yeah, but... I should be the one asking you that, can you last with this much elemental energy..?"

"I can... as long as it doesn't get more chaotic that is... hehe" I said that but, my left arm is still injured and my energy is still slowly replenishing I can only rely on the earth and wind element.
