Chapter 35: Good news or bad news?

For a couple of days we continued this routine just enough to make some money for my next plan, and sure enough the people treated us like saints sent by god and paid us fairly and some even wanted to us even more but sister Maria didn't let me and made surr to remind me every time I looked at the money at their hands, but sure enough the rumours turned to both a good news and a bad news to the people.

Some suspected that we are a group of villain trying to persuade people in making us their saints so we could take over them and start a war and some had positive response, such as a guard who lost a limb and now finally he can go back to his old job and protect people. A miner lost both his feets due to a collapse in the mine, but due to a mircale from the saint he regained both his feet for just 5 silver coins so not long enough a religion called the "Saint's order" came to be and the orphanage soon became the church of this people as they saw sister Maria a couple of times when I healed them, and so they donated food and money but we felt guilty so sister Maria made me promise to help this people gain back what they lose when I can, and sure enough that was my plan and more than a plan I wanted this village to be united even if there are opposing factions.

I can bend that and make them feel reassured that we just wanted things for the better of the village.

"Haish... it's been a week and my mom and my dad noticed this sudden change... does that mean I can't continue this plan anymore..? anyway I can use this much money for trading and gathering resources anyway I can also use various herbs to create body strengthening pills and QI gathering pills but here it's mana so it should still work right..? haha" I wasn't so sure if pills here work and couldn't help but laugh bitterly.

And half of the men in this village works as a miner and the rest do odd jobs, run a small businesses like selling local foods, ingredients, this includes vegetables and meat and the hunters usually seal meat to different vendors to help the village gain more meat supply because the meat shop I visited actually was a meatshop that only sells meat to people who can afford it, in other words that meatshop owner is a lapdog of the Baron so the hunters don't sell their meat there usually.

I mean mana it is really beneficial for cultivation but it is equally distributed to the village people and is actively being traded to the metchants passing by this village and more and more merchants are attracted to this but thanks to this I think I can trade for the herbs I wanted to"

Make sense why the nobles are hook to this, well still I can buy other herbs that is used for making body strengthening pills and QI gathering pills while also creating elixirs for the medicinal bath for Paul, Ayesha and Lisa to use, with there body right now it's impossible for them to build a stable foundation for cultivation and maybe even if they started cultivating only Ayesha which has a draconic bloodline can start right away but, it's better to safe than sorry if Ayesha has a blocked meridian it might cause her drawbacks when cultivating such as regression in their cultivation level or injuries that suddenly arises as the more they cultivate with a blocked meridians.

I was dumbfounded as I saw the both faction which treat us as a scammer which scams the people's money, and the other who have created the Saint's order religion.

As I saw the old man cannot suppress his anger anymore, his veins showed up in a moment he pulled a punch that only a veteran boxer can do, firm, fast and strong with his body slightly tilted his two feet had the footwork of a dancer as he moved closer to the middle age man and punched him, but at this speed even I can't save that man.

I saw the man lying down but he was only unconcious due to the shocked and an intimidating aura that suppressed the will of the other man to counter the old man, but it wasn't as if he wasn't injured the man's teeth flew out of his mouth as he landed on the floor his four front teeths flew out and bleeding soon came after it and to my surprise even his nose was bleeding.

"Old man... you are quite terrible to punish this guy like this"

"Hmm... it seems you understand his situation is..? why don't we go inside then"

"Mmn..." I nodded in agreement as I saw the old man was indeed had a body build for a martiao artis a good well built body his muscles density was still fairly good with his old age, it was a very rare sight for a mortal to had such exceptional body and technique.

As we were about to came in sister Maria greeted us from the door as she opened it for us, and explained why she didn't open the door for them, it was simple as it was getting annoying every single day that small brawls happen outside the orphanage between the two factions, the anti me and the Saint's order

It wasn't easy for them especially for the kids who were still at the age of two to five years old.

"A... anyway... who is that man you are dragging here sir Helbert..?"

As sister Maria heard this from the old man, her gaze suddenly locked on to me like missile. I aggressively shake my head for my self defense but the look on her face didn't change and just raised her left eyebrow.

"W-what..? But... but sir Helbert has a good personality why would you do this..? Are you surr you aren't threatened by Nyx..?"

"What..! Why would I do that... I'm innocent..." Sister Maria gave me the look that said "Whose fault do think this all are..?"

"Ahem... well I'll heal him... so everythings fine right? sister Maria..? haha" I couldn't refute any of her gazes as they were all true and just had to make my secret be revealed to this old man.

"Oh..? you'll heal him young man..?" As I suspect this young man...

"Yeah I can do that... haha"
