Chapter 14.5:Hunting part 2

Terran was surprised he had a face full of awe when he saw that Nyx was the one who released the ground spike but there was only a giant one and nothing more.

Zira was also curious as to how Nyx managed to achieve this with his level without proper practice of mana control and spell chanting..!

Terran shouted in excitement and and asked Nyx, Nyx did you summon that giant pilar of silver metal..?!

The people heard this and was happy to hear it wasn't anything out of the ordinary but only a spell that someone released.

The elder and the hunter immediately gather closer to Terran and Nyx to asked what happened.

Zira then walked and talked to the elder Winfred Wilward and the hunter team.

"It seems my son Nyx accidentally released an earth spike spell... but the good thing was his mana is still lacking and didn't summon multiple spikes... I'm about this everyone..!" and

Zira bowed down to every one of them with a solemn look at her face.

The elder and every hunter didn't say anything harsh but instead asked in curiosity.

The hunter murmur about what happened just now and talked to one another.

'How could a child cast a spell in that level!?'

'Yeah I bet it's because Terran and Zira are his parents, he inherently took over their gift as a genius..!'

'Yeah that is really possible with their caliber!'

*Murmur*

Terran and Nyx talked to one another and Nyx explained how he did it.

"Papa, I just tried to release my mana and imagined a giant spike like the one you use on the other day... and focused..."

Terran was very surprised to hear this.

"Listen Nyx YOU ARE A NATURAL BORN TALENT!

HAHAHA EVERYONE MY SON IS GONNA BE A FUTURE ARCH MAGE!!"

Terran shouted in happiness and very full of himself.

The people on the streets just ignored Terran and looked at him like a crazy maniac

*murmur*

'How would it bw possible for a child to be an arch mage'

'yeah, yeah it needs a real talent to do so'

'and what's more it also takes decades of mastering spells and reaching nee heights'

'but it isn't that easy, you also need to have the resources that only noble mans have'

*murmur*

The people on the streets did really doubt Terran, as being an arch mage really do require talent and even if a normal noble have money it might mot even be enough to reach the height of an Arc Mage.

Zira walked to Terran punched his head for embarrassing Nyx saying things that only a prince of an empire has a chance to do so.

"Terran don't embarrass Nyx, and he might be discouraged to hear this things... He is still a child and have his own dreams"

"B-but I was just saying it you know... I also really think Nyx might achieve it in the future, right Nyx?"

Zira was having a complicated feeling, we are just an average people with no money to spare to resources... this might discourage Nyx in his childhood... Terran please don't mention this again to Nyx if possible, I don't want to hurt our son in limiting his future achievements...

Zira used "message" an intermediate spell, used to communicate using magic without anyone hearing them.

Terran realized their current situation and replied to Zira, Yeah that might be the case but if he is really blessed by a goddess then we might still have hope in this honey, yes it's true our current land was just given to us as a reward and we don't have any money to spare... we are just guarding this village and settled within it. But maybe... just maybe lets believe in a miracle... right honey..?

Meanwhile

Nyx nodded and replied to Terran with a confident look that doesn't belong to a child at his age.

"Papa, mama, I know you might be worried about our financial difficulties but I promise I will become much stronger than an Arc Mage!"

Terran was dumfounded by his own son, while Zira was happy to hear this. Nyx had a very confident look and made her worry go away.

"Hmmmm... HAHAHA if that's what you say son of course you can be stronger than a Arc Mage!"

"Honey, you and Nyx are really like father like son"

Zira hugged Nyx while Terran patted Nyx's head.

This made Nyx felt much more warmth than ever he has before... his father left him back on earth and his mother died due to the abusive work.

Nyx promise to himself, this time... I promise I'll protect this... no "MY FAMILY" from any harm ever!

While the hunting team heard this and their convictions change towards the possibility of being a legendary figure arc mage.

Windward willfred broke the unnecessary topic.

"Ahem, ahem* Hmmmm... so what shall we do about this spike of metal..?"

Terran was having sweats when he saw the huge metal spike, and maybe it'll hurt passer by.

"Um... ahem wel-well maybe we can use this silver as a money..?"

Zira couldn't help but roll her eyes to his husband's absurd love about money.

"Terran! why don't you ask Nyx what this is and what to do to it and don't take it to your self!"

"Haha~ sorry honey... Nyx what are we supposed to do with this huge chunk of metal then..?"

Terran was of course excited because this was money for him, he thought that this metal was silver!

Nyx however has another idea.

"Hmmmm... Father, we can use this spike of metal to forge weapons... I just a a feeling it is much stronger than your ordinary metal... probably..."

"Hmmm? weapons? but it's this just a silver, and silver metal is useless to make weapons if you don't have a proper technique to forge it..?"

Zira also had the same feeling as Terran so she tried to cut it using her bare hands amplifying it with magic.

*clang*

A sturdy metal sound was heard and every single one of the hunters including Terran and Nyx looked at where the sound came from.

They all saw Zira with her hand with a mysterious silvery glow, and the metal spike but to there surprise even the renowned Zira with her strength with her mana blade she didn't made even a scratch to the metal spike.

Zira was also quite shock she only used about half her full power but still didn't made any scratch to the metal spike.

Instead her hand felt numb.

"what? Zira the famous sword shaman who was rumored to have came from the land of the east... which is also known and the land of swords..! She couldn't even scratch that metal spike..?"

"Isn't it just a silver metal"

"yeah, it should be quite easy for her to slice it in half but to see this... it's quite disappointing."

"hey, hey why don't you guys try cutting it then?"

The young hunters were very arrogant of themselves and it was a good chance for them to see if Zira is really strong or is just a fake swordsman.
