chapter 3 hidden truths

So I’m sorta in a pickle you see, you remember that deer well, it’s so not a deer anymore. There is currently a naked guy above me just ……….smiling. The look on his face went from a smile to the look of pain, ya I may have lifted my leg without realizing it.

While he was on the ground in pain I took that moment to get up as fast as my hide could and ran. I didn't get as far as I hoped sadly. I ran straight into a tree. I shook it off, looking up to see not a tree, but rather a chest.

“Hey beautiful, why are you running away?” I gave him the look.

“Let’s see here I did have a normal day until something decided to grab me, try and drown me, then wake up in a different place, and now a deer who I just saved turned into a talking person, want me to go on?” I needed to find Gale and get out of here but before I could think of anything else, the naked male talked.

“Then before you try walking away again can I have your name, my name is Prince Damian of the Fai Land but you can call me Damian, my fair lady.” He went to try and kiss my knuckles but I dropped my hand as fast as I could.

I've seen enough fairy tale stories to know what he's trying to pull at but I'll be nice for now. “My name is Kara Grey Vallas, a pleasure to meet you.” for some reason his eyes grew a little. “Y...You’re Princess Kara of the Dark Kingdom!” What's he talking about? My curiosity got the best of me. “I'm sorry I think you have the wrong person. I…” before I could finish I heard gale behind me, “Why is there a naked man, Kara?”

I turned around “Gale! Perfect timing. I was gonna get you and leave this place, we gotta find shelter before dark”.

Looking up at the sky then back at each other with a look telling each other a pretty reddish pink and orange sky means to take shelter and FAST.

Turning around to see a certain prince looking at us with a look of…..interest would be the best word to describe it.

“You gonna keep staring or do you live somewhere around here that we can stay for tonight just until we can find out what's going on”

With a gleam of a smile, he transformed back into his beautiful pure white deer form. “Hop on” I could hear a voice in my head, now realizing it came from him.

Gale and I hopped wearily on his back. Waiting for him to move but when he did we clung onto his back for dear life. Let’s just say he went faster than we liked him to go.

By the time he stopped, both Gale and I were shaking with adrenaline from the speed he threw at us. Finally able to get off we both collapsed from exhaustion. Unfortunately, we couldn't rest for long because as soon as I felt like laying down we all turned our heads at the sound of wings fluttering.

A girl looking around the age of twelve with red hair as bright as a rose and eyes of a bright hazel color.“Prince Damian, who are these humans?”

Damian looked at her annoyed. “Mauna, perfect timing. Can you escort them to a room please?” If looks could kill pretty sure she'd be in cinders. “Young master, why would I do that?”

He took a step forward, “BECAUSE THIS INVOLVES AN ALLIANCE. NOW SHUT UP BEFORE I TELL MOTHER AND FATHER THAT THEIR GENERAL IS TRYING TO MAKE IT DIFFICULT FOR THE FUTURE QUEEN OF THE DARK KINGDOM.” My ears were very much hurting when he finished and the look on Mauna’s face was priceless. “I… I… queen….w-WHATT!”

She looked at both of us trying to figure out which one was the precious royal then she turned to me, her eyes….they shone this fear in them. Then she did something unexpected, she bowed and I mentally double-backed. “W...what are you doing?” I bent down to lift her up but then she spoke and the words that left her mouth struck fear into me.

“I recognize you from the picture of your father and our king shaking hands, I'm truly sorry I didn't recognize you, your highness.” all I saw was Gale and Damian running to me and before I knew it I passed out……..
