Two weeks had passed since Nathan had shattered the red crystal. Humanity had managed to survive the great purge. Life was back to normal or so it seemed. Survivors in different parts of the country started rebuilding their houses, schools, hospitals, factories and offices. By the end of the second week they had successfully moved into their rebuilt houses and returned to their daily lives. The roads were a graveyard of abandoned cars which had become caked with rust. Mechanical engineers assisted by the military stripped the cars off their valuable parts and made arrangements for the remaining wreckage to be sent to the junkyards.
