Chapter Eighteen: New Work
Eloise woke up to the delicious smell of bacon wafting in the air and invading her nostrils. Her mouth instantly watered, and she found herself leaving the room and following the smell, not completely awake yet.
Collin heard the sound of the door opening as he plated the bacon. He watched in amusement when Eloise walked out looking half-asleep, and he could bet that she wasn't aware of what she was doing. Just to tease her more, he approached her with the plate of bacon, laughing when she followed the smell with her nose.
The sound of his laughter awoke Eloise. She was confused as to why he was laughing, and then she was surprised to see herself standing there.
