Chapter Seventeen: An Apartment and Two Strangers
"Why is it that every time I see you, you're in danger?"
Eloise frantically looked around, looking for her assailants, but they were nowhere to be found. She clutched her chest, where her pounding heart was, and started to calm down, but she was still trembling. She couldn't believe that she was being followed, and she was almost assaulted!
Her frightened gaze found the man in front of her. If he didn't save her, who knew what could have happened to her? The longer she stared at him, the more familiar she looked to Eloise. She raked her brain in search of the answer but couldn't remember where she met him.
