Chapter 1
The sky was blue, the sun shining beautifully yellow and warm outside. The clouds were a soft blanket of wool in the sky, they were white. When you looked through the window, you could see beautiful greenery in the gardens or in the park. There were vehicles driving outside, and there were pedestrians. Life was boring but normal. Everyone had a view of life and what they thought of it.
But there were also animals... sort of. Wait, they were animals, but with human bodies. They were furries. They were anthropomorphic animals. They lived like real people. They could talk, move, everything a human could. Half the population on Earth were furries and the other population was humans. Half-furries, half-humans. There were many people who didn't even know what the word furry meant, if someone explained it, or if they could see it right in front of their eyes. The reactions could be different. Others were normal, fascinated, and excited, but unfortunately also angry and some of them were even racist too, something that was not accepted in the whole world, but there were unfortunately those who did not even show respect for it. There was nothing wrong with furries, was there? For example, did you know that they were very popular? Think maybe of Sonic the Hedgehog, Five Nights at Freddy's (Fnaf), Looney Tunes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), and some more...
But many people saw nothing wrong with furries. You could befriend them like real people! Even relationships, too, are often considered dirty or even weird. How were children born? Since furries also had DNA from humans, children were often born as a complete human or furry, but never a hybrid, a special breed that was half human and half furry.
But there lived a beautiful girl in a mansion named Sally. She had beautiful blond curly hair with gorgeous green eyes. That was an ideal look for a person. Sally was seen as a beautiful goddess as a young child. She was beautiful. Her parents were... not so good parents. Since they were rich, they wanted Sally to be perfect in the eyes of the world and Sally had to act like a lady at a very young age. She was only a child! She didn't get any affection from her parents, as every child needed to have a healthy relationship.
Sally was a stubborn girl and she did not want to act like a lady. She wanted to play in the mud, play with other children, go play basketball, play with dolls, and any others you could name. Even though she was a stubborn child in the eyes of her parents, Sally did pretty much fine in the rich school she went to. Luckily, you didn't have to wear uniforms there. There you were free to put on your own clothes, but the school was pretty much always strict about clothes.
It was early morning in the mansion and little Sally was already disappointed about going back to school. "But I don't want to go to school!" whined little Sally as a maid wrapped her golden hair. Sally was born with curly hair from birth and it became more apparent the older she got. Now, as a 6-year-old, she has clear curls.
"I understand you, Miss Sally," the maid began, "but you need to go there to finish your studies and move on." The maid's soft hands gently did Sally's hair while she was busy combing her golden hair. Preferably gently. Wasn't curly hair always tricky while doing it? Combing, for example?
"There you go. You're all set for your day." The maid carefully put Sally back on the floor of the chair she was standing on so it was easier for the maid.
The maid, who, by the name of Lara, had been the maid of the mansion for years, just since Sally's birth. Sally's parents were always constantly so busy that Sally was often left alone without adult supervision. Therefore, they decided to hire Lara so that she could do everything within the mansion. Her job, however, was not to work in the garden. Every year a male gardener comes by to work in the mansion's garden.
Lara led little Sally down the hall until they were in the hallway. Sally's ancestors and so on had always been rich. How that started no one really knew. There were portraits hanging on the walls of who the ancestors were. You could clearly see what they looked like and they were from photographs to painted portraits, some of them even family ones. Sally wasn't going to lie, she thought her ancestors were scary.
"We must hurry, Miss Sally. Your father is waiting." Lara handed the pink backpack to Sally. The girl actually thought it was an ugly backpack she had. She once begged her parents to go buy her a new backpack, but every time she asked for something, she said "We don't have money for that."
Sally was not stupid and was also even angry with her parents for the lies they said to her every time. They were also manipulative liars. Her father has a company while her mother has her own fashion store. It was a miracle how they hadn't been caught yet because, if they were, they had lost their business and, therefore, meant money.
Sally accepted her book bag and received a kiss on her forehead from Lara. Since Sally's birth, Lara has been the only figure ever with whom she had good contact. Lara showed Sally what it's like to get affection from a parent, even if it wasn't through blood. Sally wanted to call Lara "mama," but poor Sally was frightened by the reaction.
Sally said goodbye to Lara and went into her black limo car with her father.
