CHAPTER THREE

I still couldn't stop smiling, I got the exact reaction I wanted from Paige, it was still so fresh in my mind,I just received a package ,my dress had finally arrived ,I couldn't wait to open it,I walked to a sofa and sank into it ,it was warm and comfortable ,just what I needed at the moment ,my cat Ruby rushed to me and pranced onto the sofa,I felt the sofa sink just a little bit more as the fat cat settled on it,I chuckled and brushed my fingers through her silky white fur.
"Hey kitty". I said.
She meowed a response and I smiled and began opening the package on my lap, Ruby seemed to concentrate fully on it ,she seemed just as excited as I was or even more so, my eyes began to twinkle as I removed the lid of the paper box revealing the breath-taking dress of silver silk, I pulled it out quickly and stood up to examine it thoroughly, it was beautiful, it had long snug sleeves made out of soft lace and a waist band ,it was simple but I had never seen a dress quite so beautiful, I raised it to my neck to measure the length , the hems went cascading to the floor and pooling at my feet, it’d be perfect with a pair of stilettos, it was perfect!
I squealed out my joy and hugged the dress tightly, Ruby pranced around, her movements comfirming that she was indeed more excited than I was, content with the dress, I made my way back to the box and only did I realize there was a pair of silver stilettos in it with a folded paper which appeared to be a letter,I picked it up quickly and open it, my eyes are graced with mum's beautiful cursive handwriting, tears welled my eyes as I read the words
Dear Royalè.
I do hope you like the dress, I figured silver would be great for your sweet sixteen, you'll look like a princess darling, i'm so sorry your dad and I won't be there,just have fun okay Darling?
Remember the rules,no alcohol and drugs,and try not to get into a fight with Paige Potters ,be good okay? ,love you sweetheart ,remember that, always.
Mum.
"love you too mum". I said, as a tear drop slid down my cheek, I wiped it and sniffled quietly.
I couldn't wait for my party , I was so excited.
Will Zain Carter be there?
I frowned tightly as I couldn’t help but think about the arrogant jerk, what upset me more was that the thought kept bugging me.
Send him an invitation.
I settled for the second thought, I’d send him an invitation, he probably wouldn’t want to miss the party of the year.
You want him to come so bad huh?
I cringed at the thought.
“Damn you Carter!!!”. I bit out sharply causing Ruby to prance back in alert.
I chuckled guiltily and headed upstairs.
I smiled and waved as I walked through the busy hallway, I heard my name from different directions and I couldnt help but feel loved.
Joanna and Katelyn were busy doing one thing or another so I was left alone to stroll around ,there was a lot of noise approaching from the locker room and I knew without doubts that it was the soccer team causing it all,the door of the locker room bursted open and Tyler rushed out followed by his teammates, their outfits told they had practice, Tyler smiled when he sighted me,I smiled right back and waved, he covered the distance between us shortly, and just as I was about to say something he brings his lips to meet mine and I found myself suddenly shut of words, the rest of the team cheered and whistled.
"Get a room!" .one of them shouted.
They exploded in a round of "oooooh"s and "ahhhhh"s ,Tyler backed away grinning from ear to ear.
"See you around" .He said before running off along with the others.
A smirk crossed my lips as I sighted Paige glaring at me along with her minions, the cheer squad flanked her at once ,I didn't get why she was still jealous, she already got Zain Carter.
Couldn't she simply be content and get her eyes off Tyler?
She walked to me angrily with eyes glaring daggers at me, her facial expression spelt that she had the intention of telling me off.
"Hey b***h". she said casually as though she wasn’t brooding with anger and jealousy.
"Sup Paige?". I said.
"Listen to me crystal,stay away from Tyler",she said.
Ah, not beating around the bush I see.
"Oh really?, what if I don't?,what will you do?",I said.
"I'll bring hell upon you". she said with a sweet smile.
I know better than to fall for it.
"Beat it Paige ,you've got the new guy ,just leave Tyler alone okay?". I said in a 'matter of fact' tone.
"That's not your business honey,I can have any guy I want okay?". she said.
"Well then Paige ,you can keep floating on clouds in your dreams". I said simply as i made an attempt to walk pass her.
"You can't hang a girl for dreaming Crystal, remember that". she said.
I ignored her simply and kept walking.
"You can't hang a girl.........Urghh!",I mutter to myself,she's sucha pain in the neck,of course you can't hang a girl for dreaming,she's only getting Tyler in her wildest dreams,she.........
My thoughts trailed off when I bumped into someone and my books went falling to the floor.
Great,just what I needed at the moment.
"Watch it".
A tight frown crossed my face on hearing the dumb ass who bumped into me speak with such authority.
Watch it? The hell with that.
My head jerked up at once to face the person and it was.........my mood soured even more as my gaze met the annoyingly beautiful greys of Zain Carter.
He stood there looking smug in his blasted oh-so-amazing outfit, he was dressed in a fitted black jeans with a snug black inner shirt and a grey jacket,for a brief second I couldn't believe a person could be so damn handsome.

On hearing my inner voice huf I snapped out of it at once.
"What?". I said trying to control my voice from being unreasonably loud.
"I said watch it princess". He said as though it was the most normal thing to say.
I had a thousand words I wanted to say him, a thousand hurtful words might I add?
"Are you for real right now?,you bumped into me and you wanna put the blame on me?".I said almost furiously.
His lips curved into an irritating sneer and he leaned against the wall looming above me effortlessly.
For a girl my height I wasn't usually intimidated by people's height but at that moment I was totally intimidated, not just by his height but by the entirety of him.
"Forgive my manners princess". He said casually not minding that i was on the verge of screaming a thousand hurtful words at him."you must have expected me to go down on my knees and retrieve your stuffs but here I am I guess".
"You. Are. Such. A. Jerk". I said slowly through gritted teeth. "And quit calling me princess".
That been said I bent down and began picking my books.
Such a jerk. I thought. No wonder he hangs with Paige.
"What do I call you then? Crystal?". I couldnt help but notice he said the 'Crystal' with a hint of disgust.
I looked up and glared daggers at him.
"Look dude,I don't get what your beef is and trust me I don't care". I said coldly.
"You think I have a beef with you Royalè?". He said and chuckled quietly.
Did he just call me Royalè?
"Just who do you think you are?". I said as I grabbed the last book and stood up.
I glared at him regardless of the fact that he loomed over looking smug and unaffected by the sharpness of which I spoke.
"Did I say something to upset you?". He said, a smirk tugging the corner of his lips.
"Wow". I said shaking my head irritatedly. "It reall is no wonder you hang with the b***h of school.
With that I began walking away.
I could hurt him real bad if I hung around for one more second ,to my surprise his fingers encircled my wrist and gently he pulled me back so I was facing him once more.
"And what exactly is that suppose to mean princess?". He said.
"It means you're just as bitchy as Paige is". I snapped. "Now get your hand off me before I pry it off".
He smirked like the arrogant bastard he was.
"You think I wanna hang with Paige? don't be ridiculous". He said.
"I couldn't give a damn about what you want Carter". I said as I rolled my eyes.
"Listen princess,there's more to life than just highschool okay?,you gotta be nice to me,after all you never know where we'll meet again". He said and released my wrist.
"I should be saying that to you b***h" , I said smirking.
He smiled but it didn't reach his eyes,I couldn't help but stare into those cold eyes which seemed to demand respect and by all means sort to bring me to my knees.
"It was nice talking to you princess,see you around". He said.
With that he walked away leaving me standing there,I drew in a deep breath to calm my nerves before I also walked away.
