Chapter 7: Couple’s Vacation Part 3

"Mother!" Chloe shouts and gives her a big hug. I'm so f****d. If she tells Chloe about Cole and I, she will definitely hate me. As I try to slightly back away, Chloe suddenly stops me.

"Alessandria come meet my mother in law. Mother this is my best friend Alessandria." Even though Cole's mother is smiling, I can tell underneath it all she is infuriated.

"Oh...I thought it would just be you and Cole here this weekend." Her eyes switch to Chloe.

"I hope that's not a problem. It was my first time here, and Alessandria has a boyfriend, so we decided to have a romantic Getaway." Suddenly Cole comes up from behind me, and he grabs his mother's arm.

"Mother I wish you would've called me and told me that you'd be coming."

"I did call Cole, I called multiple times in fact, you must've been busy..." Suddenly her eyes lock onto me, and she looks at me up and down. "Doing something else." As I avoid her gaze, I turn around quickly, and I run upstairs.

"Alessandria?" Chloe asks while she knocks on my door. As she knocks on my door once again, I just stay silent. I can't go down there right now, not with his mother there.

"Well when you want to talk...I'm here okay?" As I hear her footsteps fade away, I get out of my bed and I go into the restroom to turn on the shower. A few minutes go by and I take my robe off to hang it on the door. I already feel bad for what happened last night. Now his mother is here, and I just can't go down there. When I step into the shower, and I run my face under the water. I need to clear my head.

After 30 minutes the water starts turns cold, I get out of the shower and I wipe my body with the towel. All I can see when I look into the mirror, I see Cole holding me in his arms. I know it isn't real but it just feels so good. When I step out of shower, I can see Liam sitting on my bed.

"Jesus f*****g Christ! My god Liam are you trying to scare me to death?" I ask while quickly wrapping the towel around my body.

"So is this what you're planning on doing all day?" He asks.

"I have no idea what you're talking about. Now tell me why you're in my room." Then he gets up and starts walking towards me, and he pulls me closer to him.

"Alessandria, why do this to yourself?" As he wraps his arms around my waist, I look at him in the eyes.

"Why keep hurting yourself? Is he really worth all of this pain that he's causing?" I understand that he is worried about me, but I can't help how I feel. I am trying to stay away from him, but I just can't.

"Do you think I want this? Do you think I like going behind my best friend's back? I'm hiding up here because his mom can expose everything." As a tear flows down my cheek, he wipes my eye and kisses it gently.

"Please don't cry. Alessandria I could make you happy, and we have so fun together." He intertwines his fingers into mine and he holds me tightly.

Cole's POV:

"Mother. What are you really doing here?" I ask while shutting the refrigerator door.

"You haven't been answering the phone. Then I get a call from Chloe that you finally brought her to summer house. However to my surprise the one who answered the door is Chloe, it was her." She takes a sip of her coffee, and sits down at the dinner table.

"That isn't any of your business mother, and even so it wasn't my idea. Chloe invited her so how could I say no. It was your idea to keep her happy correct?" She suddenly slams her cup on the table, and snaps her head back at me.

"I hope you're not stepping out of our deal, Cole."

"Of course not mother. I'm with Chloe now, and that is final. I have nothing with Alessandria, she's Chloe's best friend and that's all." Suddenly Alessandria walks past us and opens up the fridge to grab some milk.

"Good morning Alessandria." My mother says to her with that fake smile of hers.

"Correction, it was a good morning, until you showed up at the door." She closes the door, and I can't help but laugh.

"Haha!" My mother quickly glares at me, and I stop try to stop laughing.

"How long do you guys plan on being here?" She asks. I can tell that she's up to something, and I need to know what it is.

"I could ask you the same question. I'd hate to look at your face all day." Alessandria snaps back. Before my mother could answer Chloe comes downstairs, and leans into my arms.

"Oh I'm so glad you could come by mother." Chloe says while giving her a hug. This is very awkward and I can tell Alessandria feels very out of place.

Suddenly Liam comes downstairs, and pulls Alessandria close to him. "Good morning everyone." Then he kisses her and I can feel my blood boiling once again.

"Who's this now?" My mother asks. Liam walks over and kisses her hand.

"Liam it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Alessandria's boyfriend. May I ask who you are?" Alessandria looks down at the floor, and rubs her fingers together. She always does that when she feels uncomfortable.

"I'm Cole's mother. I've come to see how Chloe was settling in."

"Oh well that's very nice of you." Liam replies.

"Like a snake." Alessandria mumbles as she pours milk into her tea.

"Excuse me?" She glares back at Alessandria. Suddenly you could cut the tension fills the room, so much that you could cut it with a knife.

"Oh nothing. I'm irrelevant to this conversation anyways." As she rolls her eyes, I look at over to my mother who looks like she wants to explode.

"Oh! Mother we should have a spa day for women only!" Chloe shouts. Suddenly my mother and Alessandria both spit out their drinks at the same time.

"You know I'm suddenly feeling very ill. I think I will stay here. Have a great day!" As she tries to sneak off, Chloe grabs her arm and then hugs my mom.

Alessandria's POV:

"Aww come on! We have to spend some time together, as you are my maid of honor!" Chloe giggles. Since f*****g when was I her maid of honor!?! No way I cannot do that!

"Since when was I your maid of honor?" I ask. Then Chloe gives me those puppy dog eyes.

"You....you don't want to be my maid of honor..?" Here we go with the fake tears. I give her a hug and smile.

"Of course I'd love to be your Maid of Honor." I reply while patting her head.

"Great! So let's go on a girls spa day to get to know each other more!" As she drags me upstairs, I can just tell this is going to end up badly.

Next thing I know, we are sitting in this fancy mud bath with cucumbers over our eyes. Even when I was with Cole, I never liked doing this fancy stuff. I think that's what Cole loved about me, that I was so nonchalant. I didn't care about appearances or what people thought about me, but that's exactly what Klarissa hates about me. Even now she glares at me every chance she gets.

"What a wonderful idea Chloe. This is a very lovely place. I bet Cole spoils you, and brings you to these kind of places all the time." She smiles at Chloe while taking a big sigh.

"Well you know Cole is an introvert, so you know he gives me his card to be able to go here, but we barely go anywhere." She replies while taking the cucumbers off of her eyes. I feel bad for Chloe. She just wants to get to know Cole more and spend time with him, but all he does is try to mess with my head. That's why I didn't want to be her maid of honor. It's just a huge slap in the face.

"Well either way it's still very nice. Alessandria it must feel amazing for you. I can't imagine you'd have enough money to go to a place like this even once." As she laughs slightly, I can feel a vein popping out on my head because I'm so pissed. The only reason why I'm here right now is because of Chloe.

"Actually I run a company that makes a good amount of money. To answer your question I could come to a place like this at anytime." As I sip on the water I can feel her eyes glaring at me. I just like f*****g with her. She tortured me for so many years when I was with Cole, but now I can finally stop pretending to like her.

"Really? What's your company?" She asks.

"Dating Unlimited." I give a short reply. I just want this conversation to end.

"Huh? I'm so sorry but I've never heard of it." As she sips on her water, I look back at her.

"Bullshit." I mumble.

"Oh I'm sorry did you say something Alessandria dear? You shouldn't mumble it's very immature." As she laughs softly, I throw some mud on her face.

"What the hell?!?" She screams as I smear it on her face.

"Oh you were saying how you loved the mud bath so much, and I've heard that it helps with wrinkles too, so I thought you'd like to use it for those on your face. Oh wait that's crow's feet so maybe it won't help. I'm sorry!" As I smirk, she throws some mud on my chest.

"What was that for!?!" I yell at her.

"Well I saw some wrinkles on your chest." As I lunge at her, Chloe jumps between us.

"Stop! What's wrong with both of you!?!" Chloe yelled at us.

"Nothing." We both say at the same time.

"I'm going to go pay, and once I get back, you two better get it together!" Then she gets out of the mud bath, and she wraps the towel around her body to go pay. As we sit in silence, I finally get up out of the bath and dry myself off.

"Alessandria." Klarissa gets up and stops me at the door.

"Yes?" I reply while avoiding eye contact with her.

"So I'm guessing that Chloe doesn't know the past between you and Cole?" She asks and it makes me stop in my tracks.

"There's nothing to tell. The past is the past and there's nothing else about it." As I grab my shoes, I turn to look at Klarissa.

"Remember what I told you Alessandria, you're from a different class from us, so don't get in the way of Chloe and Cole." As she walks past me, I put on my shoes and a tear falls down my cheek. When I walk out of the room, I can see Chloe outside with Klarissa. This day is just getting worse and I really want to go home.

Cole's POV:

The girls have been gone for a few hours now, and I just want to make sure that Alessandria is okay. I head outside to the poolside, and I decide to sunbathe by the water. Then Liam stands in front of me and blocks my sun.

"We need to talk."

"No we don't. I have nothing to say to you." I reply as I put on my sunglasses.

"Yes we do. I'm pretty sure that you know the true relationship between Alessandria and I, but I want to be with her." I quickly take my glasses off and stand up to him.

"What did you just say?" I ask while cracking my knuckles.

"You heard me. I want Alessandria, and I need you to let her go."

"I'll never let her go."

"It wasn't a request." He replies. Then I punch him in the face, and he falls in the pool.

"Looks like you need to cool off." As I walk away, I grab my towel and I head upstairs. I know that what I'm doing is wrong, but all I wanted was Alessandria. I never stopped loving her, but I can't be with her.

When I head upstairs, I walk into our old room where Alessandria's staying, and I look around the room. I can't be the only one who felt something more than s*x last night.

"Cole? What are doing in here?" I turn around to see Alessandria standing behind me.

"What are you doing back so quickly?" Then she lays back on the bed with her arms spread out.

"I'm pretty sure I asked the question first." She turns to her side and smirks at me.

"If you must know, Liam basically just told me he wants to be with you." As I avoid her gaze, she lets out a huge sigh.

"I see. Well I told Chloe and Klarissa that I wasn't feeling well, and that I wanted to go home to get some rest." I sit on the bed next to her and I let a huge sigh.

"I guess we both have had a shitty day." She replies and she runs her fingers through my hair.

"It's been a while since you've run your fingers through my hair." I turn around and face her.

"Yea I guess it has." I decided to take a bold move and lay on her chest.

"W-What are you doing Cole!?!" She asks and I decide to snuggle into her breasts.

"I know that it's wrong, and I know you probably hate me, but please try to understand when I say that I missed you. So please even if it's just for a while, let me stay like this."

Alessandria's POV:

I know that this is wrong, but just being in this room with him makes me feel nostalgic. I scratch his head lightly, and I wrap my legs around his waist.

"This brings back memories of the past doesn't it?" He asks and I can't bring myself to answer him. As scratch his head, I start to rub his head and massage it.

"Mmm that feels so good babe." It's been so long since I've heard that word from his lips. I've been yearning all this time for him, but I know he will never disobey his mother.

"Does Chloe never do this for you?" I ask.

"Well she tries, but I can't anyone else get close to me except you." I start to blush slightly after hearing that.

"Why do you do that?"

"It's because I meant it Alessandria. I can't stop being there for you because I love you. I can't let another woman next to me because I love you. I can't let anyone take you away from me because I love you."

"Yet you couldn't love me enough to stay." I stop scratching his head and a tear flows down my cheeks.

"Alessandria that's not what I wanted and you know that." He turns around and faces me.

"You left Cole! If I wasn't there at the office that day would you have told me?" I ask. Then the silence becomes so loud.

"Exactly I knew it." I get up quickly and I open the door. "Please get out Cole."

"I understand, but please remember what I said. I do love you." As he walks out of the door, I quickly shut it and I cry in my bed all night.
