Chapter 2: Cole

Cole's POV:

As I get up, I hear my phone ringing over and over buzzing on my desk. Then I realize it's my mother once again and all I want to do is ignore it. However if I don't answer I'll never hear the end of it, so I get up and answer the phone while scratching my head.

"Yes dear mother." I say while rolling my eyes.

"Don't take that tone of voice with me. Do you even know what day it is?" She snaps back at me.

"Knowing you mother everyday is something important. So please remind me of why today is any different." I say sarcastically while putting on my button down shirt.

"It's your fiancé birthday dinner tonight. Did you even get her anything?"

"Mother. It's one thing that a few years ago I lost the love of my life because of what you wanted. Now you've made me propose to this woman and expect me to be happy and grab her a birthday present."

"Yes I got what I want. However you got your part of the deal as well. Remember the only reason why Alessandria's Company had its first investor was, because I made it happen with my connections." I mean that is true that's the only reason I stopped looking for her and proposed to that girl because I knew she'd be taken care of.

"I got it. I'll have my secretary get her a gift. Does that satisfy you enough mother?" I ask while getting in the car to head to work.

"Good and she expects to see you there as well. Remember, you must make this work because you must combine our companies."

"Yes mother. I will be there. I have to go." Then before she could answer I hang up on her. God I hate that I had to propose to this woman. I mean she's a good woman and under different circumstances maybe I could fall for her, but I can't forget about Alessandria.

As I arrive at work, the memories of when Alessandria would bring me lunch and we would eat everyday. Then we would go back into the office and I would ravage her until she couldn't conceal her moans anymore. Sometimes I would even have to carry her out, but now those days are over.

Then it's the night of Chloe's party, and as I walk in I see her in that beautiful red and black mermaid maxi dress. Her hair as bright as the sun and her skin as pale as white chocolate. She is a beautiful girl indeed, however I just can't seem to see her that way other than a little sister. She doesn't need to know that though.

"Baby!! Hi, I missed you today, I've called you several times." Her smile just lights up the room.

"I'm sorry, I was running late getting your gift now." As I put a diamond necklace around her neck and kiss her cheek. Suddenly I get a call and I have to take this, as I head out to take it outside I see a familiar girl walk past me.

Once I step back inside, I see someone speaking to Chloe, and then I saw her. I try not to run, but I'd recognize that beautiful golden brown hair, beautiful golden brown eyes, and that milky white complexion of hers.

"Hey babe, I'm sorry I had to take a call for work. Is this the friend you were telling me about?" Then she turns to meet and she confirmed it for me. As our eyes connect, I just can't take my eyes off of her. All I want is to hold her in my arms and tell her how much I love her and miss her.

"Baby!!" She yells running to me and showering me in kisses. Chloe's words just drift off in the distance where all I can see or hear is Chloe's voice. Then her name just flows out of my mouth.

"Alessandria." Then as I take a step towards her, I know that look in her eyes. She wants the same thing I want.

"Do you two know each other?" Chloe asks while looking confused. s**t if she said anything to my mother, and suspected anything my mother would make her investors cut off Alessandria, which would impact her significantly. Suddenly she looked away from me and I got sent back to reality.

"I know of her company, my advisor have been trying to convince me to invest in her company." Then I smile because just seeing her face brought back a spark in me that I've been missing for a while.

"I see, you must be Cole, Chloe's fiancé that she speaks so highly of. I appreciate the offer I truly do, however I wouldn't want to take advantage of Chloe's fiancé." I hold myself back from laughing. I mean can you blame me, that strong will of her trying to build a barrier between us, so I choose to poke the bear a bit.

"Well I'd still like the opportunity, and I look forward to speaking more with you." Then I take her hand in mind and it reminds me of the days I'd kiss these sweet gentle hands everything before we went to sleep. It makes me never to let go of them. Then, I see her ears turn red for a bit as she turns away from me.

"Alessandria? Are you alright...?" Chloe asks her and she suddenly pulls her hand from mine abruptly. Suddenly that emptiness settled into the palm of my end, and I knew I didn't want to let this moment go just yet.

"Yea I have to go to the bathroom. Can you tell me where it is?" She replied while trying to avoid making eye contact with me.

" Baby, can you show her where it is?" Chloe asks me and I nod at her yes. As I quickly follow Alessandria, and show her the way. I decided to break that silent wall she's trying to build up, and ask her the question that's been on my mind this whole time.

"So you disappear and then you ignore me." I say while covering up the door, because I know she doesn't actually have to use the restroom. I need to know that I haven't been the only one these years yearning for her touch. Her scent. Her love.

"Excuse me I have to pee." She suddenly glares at me and it makes me slightly grin. As I'm intrigued by this attempt of trying to push me off. Like she doesn't care about me.

"Oh really, I seriously doubt that, I'm pretty sure the only reason why you came up here was because you were avoiding me." I smirk at her. Come on Alessandria you know that you miss me and you want me as much as I miss and want you.

"Wow you are so conceited, have you ever realized that maybe not everything is about you. Fine you're right I don't have to use the bathroom anymore." Then she turns around and tries to walk off. I can't let her leave, because I don't know if I will ever have this chance again. So I grab her arm and pull her inside of the bathroom. As I push her up against bathroom door, I can't help but want her.

"So you're telling me after all of the time you feel nothing?" I just want the truth. I put my arms around her waist and pull her in closer to me. Then when I see her blushing that's when I knew that somewhere she still loved me.

"Stop..." She mumbles under her breath and I intertwine my fingers into hers and squeeze tightly, hoping to never let go.

"I missed you...Alessandria. Why did you leave?" I whisper into her ear.

"Stop this! Look Cole you obviously have moved on and I'm just now starting to be happy again after you! Why can't you just leave me alone!" She yells at me. Those words were like a stab to the heart and it makes me think how much pain she went through the years. If only I could tell you everything. Why I had to do what I had to do. It's more than just my mother, it's deeper than that. She wouldn't understand because all she would think is I didn't care. All she remembers is that I abandoned her that day.

"I can't! Princess..." I bring her hand closer to me and kiss it gently just like I did in the past. Even if she doesn't believe my words I will show her through my action. Through each kiss, and through each touch, I want to make it clear of how much she truly means to me.

"It was agonizing to watch you leave that day in your car. When I went to the house that night, I thought you'd be there to at least say goodbye, and when you cleared all of your stuff out I felt so empty." Then I hugged her tightly. I never wanted to stop looking for her and I never wanted this engagement.

"Cole..." Then she stares into my eyes just like the first day we met. Those beautiful brown eyes. Her soft delicate skin. I miss her touch. I miss how she looked at me and could read me like a book. She is what I cannot replace.

"I missed my princess, and I missed holding you like this. Why does it have to be this way?" Suddenly a tear falls down her cheek and I wipe her tears as they come one after another.

"Cole, what do you expect me to say? Did you expect me to say that I love you? That all I do is think about you and you inhabit my dreams every night. Well it's true you're right Cole. I can't stop thinking about you, and everything we had together. That doesn't erase what happened, and it doesn't erase the feeling when you betrayed me." I made her suffer. I hate how I can't tell her everything. Even so it wouldn't change what happened. I wish I could take her away and take her for myself.

"So you have to stop this. Your fiancé is downstairs waiting for you. I will be down momentarily." Then as she tries to push me off I lift her chin to look into her eyes. If this is the last time I will see her. I want her to know I love her.

"I could ask you the same you know. Did you think that just because I agreed with my mother, that means I didn't regret it? I still loved you, even now I still love you! I've been looking for you since you left me that day. I've been longing to see you since that day to tell you I was sorry and that I was wrong. The only reason why I said I'd marry and have the child my mother wanted was because I just wanted to come back to you!" Then she pushes me off of her and she yells back at me.

"You could've refused! You could've said no! You could've came home to me and talked to me about it! I wanted you, and I fought with your mother for years just for us!" I...I never knew that she was fighting with my mother like I was. She was so happy everyday that I never even noticed how much this was hurting her.

"Wait...you knew...?" Suddenly a silence became very loud, and we just stared at each other.

"How do you feel now?" I ask while getting closer to her.

"I feel nothing." Is it true? Does she really feel nothing? I don't believe it. If that's true then I'll just have to see for myself. Then I kiss her deeply while pulling her closer to me.

"Mmm nnn~!!" As I kiss her I just want more. It's not enough so I insert my tongue, and I press my knee in between her legs.

"Ah...Cole!" Suddenly I feel her hips moving up against me and I decide to be a bit mean to her.

"You say you feel nothing and yet your hips are moving against me." I kiss her neck and pull her closer to me as I move my knee slightly back and forth.

"Ah...Cole...more!" Hearing her confirmation is all I need to pick her up and place her on the counter. Then I slide her panties to the side.

"Tell me what you want princess." As I see her sweet juices dripping down from her p***y I decide to have a taste. I gently trickle my tongue around her c**t and spreading it slightly.

"Stop...calling me that ahh...!!" Then I stop and look at her. I want to her it from her mouth. I want to know if she still loves me. That I'm not crazy and that she feels the same way that I do.

"Don't tease me..!! I-I want you Cole..." That's all I needed.

"Yes princess as you wish." Then just before I get up to devour her we hear a sudden knock at the door.

"Is everything alright in there Alessandria?" As Chloe knocks on the door. Then she suddenly she shoves me to the side and turns off the lights and she shuts the door quickly. Dammit. I'm such an i***t I let my emotions get ahead of me. She must think all I wanted from her was s*x. It's not like that at all but whenever I get around her my judgement gets cloudy. I need to fix myself up and head back downstairs before Chloe starts to look for me.

As I head down the stairs I see her talking with Kaitlyn and then Kaitlyn starts to glare at me as well. I quickly avoid eye contact. Geez that woman is very scary she's almost as scary as Alessandria, when I eat her cookies that she gets from the Girl Scouts.

Then I come up behind Chloe and hug her from behind and kiss her on the cheek.

"I'm right here babe. Happy birthday."

"Aww thanks babe let's go open some gifts." Then as she drags me off I try to get my mind off of Alessandria. Chloe is a wonderful kind hearted but I just can't see her like I see Alessandria, As I'm looking around, a few minutes later I see Alessandria walk in with some guy and it makes my blood boil.

"Is there a problem over here? You two are being very loud." I ask them while trying not to show how pissed I am. Then he suddenly wraps his arms around her waist and all I can do is smile to conceal my rage.

"I apologize for us being so loud. It's been so long since I've seen my love Liam." Her love? Since when, just a few minutes ago she was screaming my name.

"Oh you're a couple? That's wonderful to hear. How long have you guys been together?" I ask him and then I stare directly at her.

"We have been together for a year right honey?" That son of a b***h. If only I wasn't forced to be engaged to Chloe then I'd punch him in the face.

"Um...yes. I'm ready to go back home now babe." Just before I could go after her Chloe comes up behind me.

"Aww already? Are you really leaving already?" Chloe asks while heading towards them.

"My love isn't feeling well so I'm taking home. Come on my love." Suddenly Liam picks her up and kisses her lips. All I can think is that I want to kill him. I swear to god I'll rip his head off. As I glare at him, Alessandria's eyes meet mine and I can't help but calm down.

Then I tell Chloe I have to head home to go get ready for tomorrow's meeting. As I head home I try to call her and as expected she has changed her number.

When I step inside my house the flash backs set in of her kissing me and pulling me into bed and holding me in her arms. As I tell her much I missed her and wanted to come home sooner, and seeing that smile on her face. As I lay down in my bed, I just remember her soft skin pressed up against me.

I have to see her again. I just need one more time.
