Chapter 3: The Death Forest

Lauryn's current goal is to run into the death forest which is very dangerous, only those who are reckless dare to enter the depths of the forest. Currently Lauryn had no other choice, but to escape into this death forest. Even though later Sebastian would still chase her into this forest, at least Lauryn could buy herself a little time.

When Lauryn entered the death forest she could feel goosebumps all over her body, besides the fact that this forest of death was very scary with various mystical stories, many people said that many Rogues were hiding here. Actually, Lauryn wasn't really afraid of anything mystical, she was more afraid of Rogue who was here.

"What if I run into a bunch of Rogues this time?" mumbled Lauryn feeling scared, even though she is one of the strongest warriors from the Amethyst Moon pack, but still if she has to fight against a group of Rogues, she will definitely have a hard time overcoming them.

"I better quickly find a safe hiding place here." Lauryn immediately thought of finding a safe place for herself to spend the night today. Given that it was already the middle of the night, Lauryn knew that it wasn't safe to continue wandering around the forest of death at this hour.

Before stepping deeper into the death forest, Lauryn glanced behind her first to make sure that no one was following her at this moment. From what Lauryn could think of, it seemed like Sebastian and the others hadn't noticed her disappearance yet, so she still had time to find a hiding place tonight.

After walking for a while while looking around her to make sure no one was stalking her, Lauryn didn't even see anyone that could be her hiding place, she was confused at this point, “How is this? Where should I hide tonight?” mumbled Lauryn, becoming anxious about her fate tonight.

Not to mention that the situation around the Death Forest was very dark, even though Lauryn could see in the dark, the darkness of this night still made her even more worried about her fate. And again, at this time Lauryn began to hear the sound of wolves howling from a distance, her heart was beating faster and faster when she heard it.

“Damn it! Why are Sebastian and the others already here?!” Lauryn cursed anxiously, what if she realised that the howling came from the Amethyst Moon pack people.

Sebastian had expected that Lauryn would run away to this place, not to mention that they were a pair of mates, Sebastian could easily figure out her current location by following the scent she was emitting.

“Why did Sebastian get here so quickly? I can't stay here all the time!” Lauryn, without waiting for a long time, immediately ran away from her current position, she couldn't just stay there, she didn't want to be caught by Sebastian.

While trying to escape from Sebastian's pursuit, for some reason Lauryn suddenly felt that her heart was beating painfully, she felt like her heart was being squeezed so tightly that it made her feel unbelievably hurts. It's just that Lauryn couldn't stop her steps because Sebastian might immediately chase after her.

Lauryn suspects that Sebastian did something and is causing her pain now, even though she doesn't know what Sebastian is actually doing at this time. Since feeling that suffocation, Lauryn had difficulty moving, but she didn't want to stop, so she forced herself to keep running away.

“Damn, my chest hurts!” Lauryn ran hastily, she could feel that her breath was very heavy at this time, but she would not stop her steps just because of this, because her life was currently being threatened.

Especially now that Sebastian was chasing her with the warriors from the Blue Amethyst pack. It's just that Lauryn didn't know where to run away.

It was Lauryn's first time entering The Death Forest, so she didn't know where to go now. All Lauryn could do was run as fast as she could and avoid Sebastian's pursuit.

During her escape journey, Lauryn just followed where her feet took her. Not only that, Lauryn also felt that her body was full of wounds at this time because of the scratches from the sticks sticking out.

"Where should I go now! Clara, can you help me?" whispered Lauryn to her wolf, she really needed help from her wolf figure.

"I-I'm sorry, Lauryn. M-my body is very weak right now," Lauryn replied in a weak voice.

It felt like Lauryn wanted to swear in annoyance when she heard Clara's reply, but she didn't blame her wolf, she knew that Clara was weak because of the pain that she felt.

It seemed that the pain was intended to weaken Clara, Lauryn only realised this when Clara said that she was weak.

Not being able to think about this any further, Lauryn had to be startled by the sudden appearance of someone's figure in her path. Lauryn had to stop her steps suddenly when she realised who was blocking her path at this time.

"Sebastian!" Lauryn hissed as she realised who was blocking her path this time.

"Lauryn, come back with me now. If you come back with me, I will not execute you," said Sebastian in a cold voice. However, it could be seen from the glint in his eyes, Sebastian was looking at Lauryn sadly.

Hearing that, Lauryn only sighed in annoyance, "If I come back with you, then you will still think that I am indeed a traitor. Sebastian, I have told you, I am not the traitor in the pack!" roared Lauryn in frustration.

Lauryn's appearance at this time was very chaotic, her clothes were already tattered with a face full of dust and also a speck of mud, but her eyes that radiated confidence stared straight at Sebastian, hoping that her mate would believe her.

"You can't lie to yourself, Lauryn. Geralt has given me proof of what you've done," explained Sebastian still coldly, he really hoped that Lauryn would follow his words, so he would have a reason not to execute his mate, he also actually could not bear to do this to Lauryn.

"How can you not trust me like this, Sebastian." Lauryn's face turned sad when she heard Sebastian's words, it seemed that her mate really didn't believe her anymore.

Under the dim moonlight that night, Lauryn slowly started to walk backwards, intending to run away from Sebastian again.

"Goodbye, Sebastian." Before spurring her feet to run again, Lauryn muttered her goodbyes to Sebastian, then she immediately turned around to run away.

Sebastian, who saw that, could only rub his face roughly while sighing tiredly, "Chase her! No one is allowed to come back before Lauryn Floretta is caught!" The order was issued, all the warriors immediately spread to chase Lauryn.
