Chapter 5: You're Drooling While Sleeping :)

1045 Words
The car bounced along a bumpy road. Shirley was so sleepy that she didn't know when she had fallen asleep. Because she was asleep, she couldn't help leaning her head toward Charlie. Charlie straightened her head in disgust and then deliberately moved a little further away. But after a while, Shirley leaned her head on his shoulder again. Charlie continued to push her head away. After dozen times, Andrew couldn't stand it anymore. He criticized Charlie, "What's wrong with letting Shirley lean on your shoulder for a while?" Charlie glared at Andrew. Shirley is my sister, not his. Why did he care so much about her? When they reached their destination, it took Andrew some time to wake Shirley up. Shirley's eyes were red from tiredness. She rubbed her eyes and tried her best to wake up. Andrew frowned slightly and finally realized that something was wrong. He put his cold palm on her forehead. Shirley did not blink. She could only feel that Andrew was very close to her at that moment. His good-looking face was near at hand. "Do you have a headache?" Andrew's clean voice sounded soft. Shirley nodded. She was still sleepy. Andrew got up and then said to Charlie and Monica, "I think she may have a fever. Let's send her to the hospital first." Charlie became extremely gloomy at this moment. His face looked cold. "Do you have a fever?" Charlie pulled Andrew over and bent down to enter the car. In a while, Shirley had closed her eyes and was sleeping soundly. Charlie touched her forehead. It was indeed very hot. His hand paused on her cheek for a moment, and then he got up and said to Andrew, "Well, you can go and eat. I'll take her to the hospital." "What?" Andrew still wanted to say something, but Charlie had already driven away. "Are you jealous?" Monica asked softly with a faint smile on her face. Andrew reached out to put his arm around her shoulder and said with an exceptionally bright smile, "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm just worried about my sister." When the doctor told Charlie that Shirley had a high fever and she would be in danger if she was sent a bit late, Charlie still couldn't believe it. Though they had lived together for more than ten years, he had never been very concerned about her. But now, he accompanied her to the hospital in the middle of the night. When Shirley woke up, she saw Charlie was leaning on the bed, sleeping soundly. At the sight of him, Shirley was suddenly frightened. This was the first time she had seen Charlie sleeping soundly. His eyes were closed, his nose was high, and his expression was cold. Even when he was sleeping, he was still so handsome. However, one second later, Shirley couldn't stop laughing foolishly. She saw him drooling. His saliva dripped down his mouth onto his hand and the bedsheet. Shirley found it interesting. Charlie drooled while sleeping. This could become big news. She carefully took out her cell phone and was about to take his picture. She approached him and took several photos. Before she could appreciate her artistic achievements, Charlie had woken up. He suddenly opened his eyes and looked into her eyes. This time, he really scared her. "What are you doing?" Out of instinct, Charlie asked. Shirley put away her phone in a hurry and denied in a panic, "I didn't do anything." "Really?" Charlie frowned slightly, seeming to believe it. At this moment, the saliva that had been hanging on his chin fell on his pants. He looked down and saw an obvious water stain on his trousers. The entire world went silent. After suppressing her laughter for a while, Shirley finally burst out laughing. Charlie glared at her angrily, but it had no effect. Then, he got up, slammed the door, and left. This was the first time that she had laughed out loud in front of him. Charlie wandered along the aisle for a long time, but in the end, he couldn't bear to leave a little girl who was still sick alone in the hospital. The reason why he had been so pissed off was that his embarrassment had been seen by Shirley. He felt that he was a cold fish in her mind, not a silly boy who drooled while sleeping. "Drool..." At the thought of this word, he couldn't help clenching his fists. Shirley can be discharged from the hospital, and she left with Charlie. When they arrived at the parking lot, she tried her best not to make a sound. She was too careless just now and showed her true colors in front of him. She wondered how this sinister man would deal with her in the future. He opened the door and said fiercely to her, "Get in the car." Shirley got in the car obediently. Charlie was surrounded by an aura of menace. Thus, Shirley would not provoke him. When she finally arrived home, she had thought that this weekend would come to an end. She would get up a little late tomorrow morning, then go directly to school and avoid contacting Charlie again. However, when she got home, Charlie kept following her. He even did so when she went to the kitchen to drink lemonade. She tried to calm herself down as much as possible, but when she drank the lemonade, he just stared at her motionlessly. His stare was horrible. In the end, she held the cup in her hand and asked carefully, "Do you... want to drink it as well?" He didn't answer. It was obvious that his interest was not in the lemonade, but in Shirley. "You like Andrew?" Finally, he opened his mouth slowly. His eyes were as sharp as an eagle's, and his thin lips were tightly pursed. However, his question really frightened her, making her panic. She thought that she had concealed it very well. How could he know? "I don't like him," she denied. Charlie was silent for a long time and then said slowly, "That'd better be the case. He's my best friend, I don't want you to hurt him." HURT... He had used the word "hurt".
