Chapter - 15

1000 Words
A knock at the door came twenty minutes later. Jenny got up and opened the door. Mrs. Volly came in and sat down across from me. She took off her mask and placed it on the table. Allowing me to read her expression. Anger. Of course, she would be angry. Her son is under my command, and she hasn't seen him for over three years. "I guess you understand why I'm here. You have no right to keep my son from visiting me at least once a month! I want my son out of this company or whatever you call it!" She yelled as she stood up. Jenny was quick to respond with a stance and her hand hovering over the knife's hilt. The woman quickly saw this and sat back down. I took another sip and allowed Jenny to talk. "Mrs. Volly, we understand your concerns, but your son has always had three days off every month since the contract was made. We never check where he is going, but you have no right to speak in that tone to someone higher than you in this place. I will call him over so you two can speak." She said as she walked over to her table and called. After a few minutes, a knock on the door came and he walked in. "How can I help you?" He said, lowering his head. I flicked my fingers and he raised his head. I then pointed toward the mask and he took it off. I then looked at the woman beside me who he quickly recognized. "Mother... What are you doing here?" he said. The son of Mrs. Volly is part of the information gatherers. This means he's always on his computer and busy finding more information. "What do you mean, why am I here? I'm your mother! I haven't seen you in three years!" "Ah, yes. I have been going on dates in my free days and on the third day I always just relax. I apologize for not visiting you, but I promise to visit you this month. I'm sorry you had to come all this way... And I apologize for the time I wasted on you, Miss fox..." He said, bowing his head at me. I clapped my hands and took another sip of my wine. When they finished discussing, they left my office. I have already finished an entire bottle and I already feel drunk. I rested my head against the back of the sofa and put my hand over my eyes. I'm tired. "Miss, should I bring you some water? You don't look so well." She said with a concerned voice. I took my mask off and looked at her. I forgot I used to drink hard alcohol. Wine mixed with either whisky or tequila. I stood up and walked over to my desk. Trying to write. "Miss, allow me to drive you back. I think your alcohol tolerance has dropped. Either that or this body can't handle alcohol." I saw the worried expression on her. I nodded at her and grabbed my stuff. She put the mask back on me and led me down to the garage. She helped me get into the car and we drove off. "Should I throw away the wine?" I shook my head quickly. There's no way that I would agree with that. That's my favorite wine. I just need to get this body used to alcohol. "Alright then, oh and I have ordered you some of the cosmetics you used to have. They should arrive in a few days. New brushes, sponges, and skin care products. If you need anything, message me and I'll get it for you. Oh and there's going to be a ball. Should I pick the outfit or will you pick it yourself?" I doubt I can pick a dress since my mother will be back. I pointed toward her and I saw her nod. We finally arrived at the house. I left the mask in her car and I quickly and carefully climbed back through the window. I quickly changed into my pajamas and fell asleep. The next day, I woke up to be met by my mother's eyes. "Morning sweetheart. I called the school and informed them that, you wouldn't be going to school. Because I haven't seen you in a month and I wanted to spend the whole day with you, so go get ready, we will be going shopping!" After that, she left the room. I got out of bed and, luckily, didn't feel the hangover much. I went to the bathroom and took a shower. I got back to my room and changed into a white crop top, white ripped shorts, and white socks. I then threw on a white leather jacket and sat down to do my makeup. After I was done, I brushed my hair and went downstairs. She handed me a pair of sunglasses and we headed out. First, we went grocery shopping, then tried on a few outfits and she saw the patterns of my color of clothing. She recommended me some outfits and so did I. We finished clothes shopping and we went to buy new makeup. Then perfume, then accessories and I think you get the point. By the time we came back, it was already 7 pm. We ate lunch at a cafe, so, no, I'm not starving. We took our stuff inside and Alex helped us with the bags. I then reorganized my closets and threw away expired stuff and stuff I ran out of. By the time I finished, it was already 9 pm. I changed into pajamas and checked if I missed any messages. Daniel's the only person that messaged me. I then went downstairs and made myself a sandwich. As I was eating, I heard the doorbell ring, so I went to open it. As I looked through the peephole my whole body froze. What is he doing here?
