Chapter 8The flight had gone off smoothly; the men making up the commando did not know each other and had hardly spoken to each other during the trip. The adjutant had recruited them for their skills; the other security principle required them to come from different regiments, to avoid any possible cross-checking and thereby achieve total opacity. They would only be together for twenty-four hours, and if the operation was a success, they might meet again… or on the other hand, they might not.
