Chapter 6

It was finally the night of Adrik's party. Ophelia got the dress that he wanted her to wear the day before (note write about that day.). She put on the dress. She loved that it was not over the top. It was simple, but fitted her like it should and the color went with the necklace he had also given her that she couldn't wait to put on. Ophelia dug through her things to pull out the hidden necklace. She carefully undid the clasp and hooked it behind her neck. She looked at herself once more in the mirror feeling that she looked like a dream. Happy she was to be the one on Adrik's arm. A knock on her door before it opened. She saw the house manager poker her head in. "Everything is ready for you Ophelia. You better get going. You don't want to be late." "Thank you. I'm ready to go. What do you think?" She asked, smoothing out the fabric. "Lovely as always." The manager smiled. Ophelia moved towards the door. The manager opened it wider and Ophelia headed to the vehicle that was waiting for her. She didn't want to share one with her mother who said she wanted to go to make sure Ophelia was not going to do something reckless. "Ophelia? You look beautiful." The driver said as he helped her into the car. "Thank you." She got in and moved the fabric again. She could have walked but everyone said it would be best if showed in a vehicle like everyone else. They pulled up and it was like Adrik knew she was going to be there. He stood waiting for her. Ready to have her by his side the whole night. "Absolutely amazing." He said as he pulled her out. "You don't think it's too much." She got nervous. "Never." They headed into the house. He didn't wrap his arm around her waist like Leo but had his arm out for her to hook onto. A whisper went through the crowd as they stepped in. The nerves started to act up more. "Everyone is whispering." She said in his ear. "They are jealous that they aren't you." "Why?" "There doesn't need to be a why. Just look at you." He smiled at her. Like before with Leo she was introduced to others that Adrik knew, but these ones did not look at her like she was a possession like the others had. They were nicer and wanted to hear from Ophelia. Adrik took her to dance before he left her to go track down a person that had food for her to eat. The doors swung open wide and a group of armored masked men came storming in. Everyone stood very still frozen in shock. The men walked around the crowd. Two of them saw Ophelia and walked over to her. They looked at her then at each other then back at her. The one on her left nodded and picked her up and threw her over his shoulder. "No let me go!" She screamed. Panic started to set in. She was back. She couldn't be taken away from Adrik again. The grip on her tightened. She thrashed. She couldn't believe this was happening to her. They took her onto a simi large craft. Out of the corner of her eye in the shadows on Adrik property she saw a man in all black wearing armor watching as they put her on board. He gave her the creeps.
