Two completely different souls

Like always Jisu got up early in the morning and ran her eyes through her room. Her luggage was packed and kept at one corner of her room while the doors and windows of her rooms were decorated with flowers and lights in between them. Three weeks had passed since the day her alliance was fixed with Ian. Ian had called her for a coffee date, lunch date and sometime even for dinner date but she kept denying as she wasn't used to all this. So basically after that day she never met him alone. Whenever she met him, it was either with her family or during the marriage rituals. Many emotions were rushing down her veins when she realized she wouldn't be called a Murthy anymore. She would be Jisu Ian Malhotra. Her mind were filled with queries whether she will be able to fulfill her duties as a wife or not? Whether she will be able to adjust or not? Little did she know her life was going to take a complete U turn. Chucking all her thoughts she took a long refreshing shower before engulfing herself in her book 'I too had a love story' which she had just started to read. "Days Pass By Somehow But Nights Now Are Wagon Of Pain Injuries May Heal With Time But Marks Will Always Remain Restless On My Comfortable Bed I Toss And Turn And Try To sleep But Thoughts Are Walking My Head And Formed A Huge Heap The Past Is Flashing Its Scorching Light Beams Tearing Me Apart, Breaking Me At The Seams The Darkness Of My Life Is More Visible In The Dark !!" She was touched by these lines as it somehow turned out to be her case... Her miseries never let her go. "Not again." Mukti's voice brought her out of her book. She lifted her gaze from her book, only to see Mukti all dressed up in a beautiful designer lehenga with off shoulder blouse with few jewellery and required make up. "God this girl! It's your wedding Jisu and you are busy with your book. Come on, get up we have to get you ready." Mukti took the book from her hand and kept it on the bedside the table. "Girls." Mukti called and two beautiful girls with their necessary parlour equipments made their way inside. "They are going to make you ready for today." Mukti chirped happily while Jisu just gave her a small smile. "Jisu I know you are nervous, it was same even in my case. But nevertheless with time you will learn everything. And Ian I have known him since childhood. He will be the best husband and life partner. Trust me." 'Trust' that was the thing that she couldn't do. She had trust issues but she smiled in response seeing Mukti's concern. ***** Ian was almost ready in his white sherwani, which perfectly fitted him. Ian hated getting ready. Every day he used to wear whatever he got in his hand and all this getting ready thing irked him. "It's such a torture. Why can't we simply wear denim and shirt? Who even created this sherwani?" Ian complained, buttoning the last two buttons of his sherwani. "Ever thought what if sari had been created for men?" Alya said, adjusting her sari pallu. The foodie Zylith, who was busy munching chips chuckled. "Alya I swear Ian would look beautiful in sari." "Zylith keep your lame jokes with you." Ian looked at his reflection in the mirror. "But bro you look way too handsome. Trust me Jisu might faint on seeing you." Zylith complimented, stuffing some more chips in his mouth. "Don't worry I will hold her?" Ian laughed. "But what if it turns out to be the opposite case. What if Ian faints seeing Jisu?" Alya raised her brows, looking towards Ian. "Don't worry. Zylith will carry me?" "Have you gone mad. Not a chance I don't want to lay down on the bed. Like see your weight bro, you are at least 200 kg and I am not even 70 kg." "Seriously Zylith 200 kg." Alya laughed. "Aur nai toh kya...have you..." Before Zylith could even complete he heard Yoona. "Zylith... Zylith.." Yoona was searching for him. "Oh s**t! I forgot to bring the pendant." Zylith abruptly stood up from the table where he was sitting and ran out of the room but again came back. "My chips." He said taking the chips from the table and again ran out. "This boy." Ian sighed! He just looked at Alya who was redoing her makeup. "Alya for Dhruv's sake, don't do so much heavy make up. He won't be able to recognize you." "Not funny Mr. Ian Malhotra." She frowned. "But I was saying it for your betterment." "Ian just get this marriage done. I swear I will kill you with my own hands." "We will see." Ian laughed. Ian and Jisu were two completely different souls, one was full of life while the other was full of miseries. One was happy almost all the time while the other had forgotten to even smile. They were poles apart but as said opposite always attracts. The Malhotras along with their relatives and friends entered Murthy mansion. They were welcomed in a grand manner. They could see people dancing like maniac along the beat of loud music. The mansion was fully decorated like a newly wedded bride. After a while Ian was led to the mandap. As soon as he seated on the mandap, the priest began chanting holy mantras. Minutes passed but the mantras didn't stop. Ian followed the instruction given by priest and did all the things that the priest had asked to do. On the instruction of the priest, Mukti headed upstairs to get Jisu. Meanwhile Zylith was busy eating and Yoona was scolding him for not bringing ber pendant but all he did was mumble a sorry, still stuffing food in his mouth. Soon Jisu descended down the stairs with Mukti at one side and some other girls following them. Ian shifted his gaze towards the stairs only to be lost in her beauty. Beautiful would be an understatement to describe her. She looked infinite times beautiful in the heavily embellished pink lehenga with traditional jewellery, required make up and lots of bangles in her hands, just a smile was missing on her face. Soon the rituals started. The priest asked Ian to stretch his right hand forward and asked Jisu to place her hand on his. She slipped her right hand hesitantly on his. The priest began chanting the scared vows. After few more rituals they were asked to stand up for the holy rounds. After the seven holy rounds, Ian filled her hair parting with Vermillion and tied nuptil chain around her neck. Now in all terms they were declared as husband and wife. To be continued...
