You may not believe whether pairs are really made in heaven or not but I somehow believe pairs are really made in heaven, you just need to work on it , fighting all the odds.

Jisu sat on the bed with her face covered with veil. It was regarded to be a tradition. But inside the veil nervousness was eating her up and sweat beads were forming on her forehead. Her mind was filled with a lot of things.
"He won't touch me without my consent." Jisu tried making herself understand but her heart kept beating faster with every passing second. "He is a man after all and you can't trust him. Trusting him will lead to one more heart break...one more disappointment.. One more bruise." A part of her thought. She clutched her lehenga tightly, when she heard the door click.
He saw her sitting on the centre of the bed and with every step of his towards her, he could see her body stiffen. He sat beside her and stretched his hand to remove the veil but she shifted uncomfortably and clutched her lehenga even more tightly. He removed the veil only to see her eyes shut tightly and nervousness clearly written all over her face. For a moment he was completely lost in her serene beauty but then keeping his thought aside, he decided to talk to her.
"Jisu open your eyes." Ian said softly. She shook her head in 'no.' "Trust me I won't touch you." She opened her eyes only to look into his.
"I know you don't have feelings for me. You don't even think me as your friend. You have hardly talked to me and I know this all is nee for you. I am ready to give you time. Take as much time as you wish for." He inhaled a long deep breath.
"We can be friends right. I want to know you and share my every little thing with you. I want to be there by your side every time you need me. Will you be my friend?"
Jisu looked at him and his face showed nothing but hope and she couldn't let someone's hope break down. Her memories never let her move on but she never meant to hurt someone. "We can be friends." Jisu said with a small smile.
Ian smiled to his fullest. "I promise I will always to be there for you." Little did Jisu know, he meant every word of his. She just smiled. "I guess we should catch some sleep. It was a tiring day." Jisu said.
"Yeah that's true but first you go and change.. This must be heavy for you to handle." Ian said indicating her lehenga.
"It is." She said, making her way towards the washroom
After ten minutes of Jisu came back in her night wear while Ian too had changed. She saw Ian placing the pillow on the couch. It somehow made her smile and her respect for him grew. "Ian.." She called out hesitantly. "We can share the bed."
"Are you sure?" Ian asked.
"Yeah..now that we are friends. I don't have any problem in sharing the bed."
Ian smiled and made his way towards the bed. He laid down at one side of the bed and so did she on the other side. Ian closed his eyes but sleep was far away from him. He opened his eyes only to see Jisu tossing and turning in the bed. "Sleepy??" He asked.
"Sleep is never my thing." She blurted out unknowingly. Ian did want to ask why?? but he didn't feel it was the right time. Ian got up from the bed and gestured her to get up as well. She did as said and followed him to the rooms balcony.
Cool breezes passed by touching her face and unknowingly a smile crept on her face. She placed her hands on the railing, with closed eyes she felt the wind and bit by bit peace engulfed her. Ian was just leaning against the wall and looking at her. After moments of silence Ian spoke out.
"I want to know my friend."
Jisu opened her eyes and turned her head towards him. "Ok then."
"Let's start with a simple one..favourite color?" Ian asked.
Jisu-"Blue and red."
Ian- "Black and red."
Jisu-"Hobby."
Ian- "Singing."
Jisu-"Reading."
Ian sat on the small couch near the balcony door and asked,"What do you love about yourself the most?"
"Nothing." Jisu said gloomily, accompanying him on the small couch. "Why do I feel, you aren't happy? Why do I feel, you are not what you show?" Ian thought to himself.
"I love my looks." Ian self praised, raising his invisible collars up. Jisu let out a chuckle seeing his childish behaviour.
"Umm can I.. Can I take you in my embrace?.. Please" Ian asked after much hesitation.
Jisu was taken aback with the sudden request but she didn't resist. She nodded her head in yes and his eyes twinkled. He wrapped his arms around her shoulder, side hugging her. He pulled her closer and he felt peace. She felt warm and safe in his embrace. She never felt this way.
"Am I developing something for him? This feeling can't be just for friends." Eventually she was forced into thinking."Are we friends! or something more? Are pairs really made in heaven?"
Words were no more important as unknowingly both of them felt peace with each other. The cool breeze passed by marking the beginning of something which was unknown to them and involuntarily Jisu wound her arms around his back and snuggled more into his chest, making him smile. After a long time, she felt peace that too in his arms and she slipped into a deep slumber
