“Rat Boy—!” began Spader, but Jonah interrupted him.

“I told you a long time ago that you don't tell me what to do, Jonah,” she told him. “I'm a part of this, whether you like it or not.”

Those two words turned every head in the room.
“No,” said Jonah.
“Yes,” said Douglas right back.
“Go back home, Doug,” said Terrence. “Go watch that Downtown thing or whatever it is—”
“It's Downton, and I'm not going home,” said Douglas. “You're my friends, and I want to contribute an extra set of hands.”
Reena approached the man with a serious look in her eye. “This could be really serious trouble, Doug,” she said.
“Yeah,” said Spader. “You might get blood on your chinos. Or that merino wool sweater.”
