Well, there wouldn’t be any doubt now as to who was turning 25. The cake was massive, occupying almost the entire space on the kitchen island. It was truly extravagant! Megan had really gone all out with this one, and I could tell Kat wasn’t too pleased about it. Megan must have been aware of Kat’s reaction and attempted to sneak it in before she noticed, probably planning to surprise Kat later with candles and all, but her scheme had failed.
“Oh, sh*t,” Megan muttered as she spotted us.
Kat began to shake her head, while Megan adopted an innocent expression, pretending as though she hadn’t gone completely overboard with Kat’s birthday cake, something she knew Kat would never have approved of.
