Chapter 1 Break Up
The moonlight tonight was exceptionally bright, casting its glow on a luxurious villa where two figures were entwined on the bed.
The man's forehead was covered in sweat, devoid of any emotion in his eyes, seemingly driven solely by physical desires.
He gripped Daisy's hands, bit her red lips, forcefully parted her teeth, and wildly sucked in the fragrance from her mouth.
Daisy endured the discomfort in her body, striving to please the man before her.
His actions were more intense than usual, until she drifted into unconsciousness, satisfying his desires.
When Daisy awoke, she heard the sound of water running in the bathroom. She was surprised as he always left immediately after, never waiting for her to wake up.
This time he had not left yet. After a few minutes, the water in the bathroom abruptly stopped, and the man emerged wrapped in a towel.
Water droplets from his hair tips fell on his fair skin, sliding slowly down to his abdominal muscles, showcasing firm and alluring contours. With a refined and handsome face resembling a carved sculpture, sharp and angular, complemented by indifferent peach blossom eyes, mysterious and aloof.
The man's appearance was striking, yet the chilling aura emanating from him made it hard to approach.
Lino noticed her awakening, his cold eyes glanced at her. "You don't need to come here anymore."
Daisy was taken aback, not immediately grasping the meaning behind his words.
Lino averted his gaze, picked up a thirty million check from the table, and flung it in her face.
He hadn't stayed here out of attachment, but to end their relationship.
After being with him for three years, she had anticipated this day would come, but not that the outcome would be like this.
Without reason or explanation, just a simple command for her to leave.
Suppressing the pain in her heart, she slowly raised her head. "So in your eyes, I'm just a plaything to be discarded at will when you're done?"
Lino did not respond, looking at her coldly without any trace of reluctance, which froze Daisy's heart to ice.
His silence made Daisy realize her own position. Three years have passed, and she still couldn't leave a place in Lino's heart.
It's time to wake up from this dream. She picked up the check, let out a cold laugh, tore it to shreds without expression, and threw it towards him.
Suppressing the pain in her chest, she said to him, "To be honest, I haven't felt anything for you for a long time. Let's end our relationship now; I couldn't be happier."
Lino adjusted his shirt sleeves, paused slightly, and lifted his cold eyes to look at Daisy.
Seeing no sadness on her face, but a hint of excitement instead, it seemed like a relief to her.
His eyebrows slightly furrowed, he asked quietly, "You haven't wanted to be with me for a long time, have you?"
Daisy pretended nonchalance and nodded, "Yes, it's been three years, I've wanted a change for a while."
Although Daisy had never thought of leaving like this, she didn't want to appear pitiful in front of Lino. At the very least, she wanted him to know that she wasn't a toy to be toyed with.
Thinking of this, she smiled at Lino, "You still don't know, do you? Just before you came back, the heir of a large company was pursuing me. Now that our relationship is over, I am free to find someone new."
Lino's emotions were complex at the bottom of his eyes as he stared at her intently for a while, then wore his designer suit and walked away. "As you wish, don't forget to take your birth control." This was the last thing he said before leaving.
Watching his back, Daisy's smile gradually disappeared. Lino hated others touching his belongings, not saying a word when she mentioned dating someone else. It seemed like he didn't care about her anymore.
When Daisy left, she didn't take anything with her except for a ring engraved with her name.
It was a gift from Lino on her birthday last year. Back then, she naively envisioned their life after marriage.
Before meeting Lino, she had suffered a lot. Daisy wanted to travel the world with him, to experience the beauty of the world through Lino.
And now? Well, Daisy chuckled coldly, exerted all her strength to throw the ring in her hand into an artificial lake across the road, and then left the villa without looking back.
